I’m not watching AEW ever again, what a joke. Sorry FTR.
FTR's gonna leave soon
@@cyberpsykoh6686they just re-signed
Only people I like are FTR Ricky Starks Jamie Hayter and Christian Cage F the Rest who work there

I’ll watch if they give me a reason to watch with some good storyline. But with college football and nfl starting it’s gonna be hard to get my attention

Oh no not the christian cage and the dead father gag lol
Will Christian be the father or will he kill the father 😂😂
Lol!
As if Christian's father was in his life.
My God😂
So let me get this straight Tony Kahn, the owner of the company, was scared for his life and the lives of the crew, but he had to wait to hear this investigative committee's decision to fire Punk. I'm sorry but I'm calling BS on this.
Exactly! Even though I'm not a CM Punk fan at all, I can justify Punk's reponse for this. Jungle Boy started the whole damn thing. Called out Punk publicly, came back to gorilla got in Punks face and then shoved him. It's clear that Tony is a pussy and never been in locker rooms before in his life.
And let Punk hangout backstage at the ppv, take photos etc
Exactly 💯
I hope there's a deposition so Punks lawyer can ask this as one of his first 3 questions.
Plus no police was called during the situation 😂.
Jim's decision to decline Tony's invitation to work for AEW has never looked better.
if that had happened tony would have feared for his life but for real🤣
Jim would goozle him when he starts with the "we have barely scratched the surface on what this guy (pockets) can do"
jim probably would have went off on tantrums like an unprofessional asshole just like punk.
@@koumorichinpo4326Do you mean like Perry, who was so bothered by being told he couldn’t use glass in a match that he not only went to Meltzer to complain but also had to whine to the camera about it during a match at AEW’s biggest show to date?
Or like the Bucks, who barged into a guy’s locker room with five other people because he made some unflattering comments about them?
Jim fully in charge with Tony’s budget and non of The Elite, would have been great for the business. Unfortunately Tony doesn’t see his own faults

Feared for his life so much that Punk was reportedly allowed to stay in the building for more than an hour after his match and left of his own volition before buying Nando's for the boys.
Not only that, he was so scared for his life and the well being of the crew, that he had to wait for some committee to make the decision to fire Punk. Isn't he supposed to be the owner of the company.
The reported exchange was Punk asking if he should leave, and the reply was no one was asking him to, but it was probably for the best. Doesn't exactly tally with "Scared for his life"

@@LegendJ0e4 Reportedly bought Nando's for everyone and met up with most of the Collision roster after the show.
I think the funniest part of him being booed out of the building was when he started to try to relate with their upbringing, "I grew up in this state." I tell you there have never been two peas in a pod like tony kahn, a billionare kid, and a town who on average make less than 50000. They started booing even more at that. Tony probaly had a very sheltered life growing up. He was a nerdy kid who in his own words was booking wrestling for his action figures Probably in a house worth millions of dollars he didnt grow up like punk who was sofa surfing at friends houses in his teenage years because of problems in his home life with his dad being a alcoholic and his mom struggling with mental health issues.

He’s still a biased clown who is on Punk’s side because he likes him and doesn’t like Khan or AEW.
The victory lap says everything you need to know about the mindset of the folks running the show there. You just fired your top merch seller, one of your top stars, one of your top draws, one of the few guys on that roster that's still active with a name and face that millions of people all over the world will recognize, one of the few guys on that roster that can compel people to buy a ticket to a show just based on what he's doing alone, he's the guy responsible for Collision even existing in the first place... etc, but go out there and have a victory lap and rub it in the faces of your own customers that bought a ticket to see their guy and didn't get their guy. Yep. You won alright.
This is a business, not a charity. Celebrating the dismissal of what would probably be one of the biggest names they will ever have on that roster, when you are someone who not only has a personal stake in the company as talent on it to where if the company grows, then in theory so does your paycheck, but as an EVP on top of that, is asinine. That's like if you were to be on the Chicago Bulls team of 1991, you're somebody like John Paxson who's on that team but let's be honest, those who aren't hardcore basketball fans aren't going to know who that is... and you're happy and publicly celebrating the removal of Michael Jordan from the team because he was a dick that your coach and GM could not reign in and control before it was too late. I'm not comparing Punk to Jordan... but in a team scenario, it's not a "win" to have to can one of your star players like Michael Jordan from the team. Not as a teammate, and not as one of the folks with skin in the game running the franchise. It's a demonstrable failure of management, it's a failure of the player to control themselves, and it's going to cost the team. That's not an outcome to celebrate.
Perry shit all over the company going on camera live to tell everybody that advised him not to do the glass spot on Collision to go cry about it on the biggest show they will probably ever have, including the man in charge of everything and writing his paychecks because it's his show, and now here's the Bucks celebrating their failure to manage and control one of their talent before it got out of hand by taking a dump all over the dinner table where Khan, the EVPs, and co. eat and openly mocking the people in attendance who paid to be there and wanted to see their guy. There's Romper Room, and then there's whatever this whole thing is. The lack of respect for Khan is legendary.
In principle you're correct. But the EVPs and their members-only treehouse club have no principles. And Tony has no balls, he's not cut out to be a wrestling promoter or booker. It's funny that we used to lament and criticize the state of the WCW locker room and management in the 90s with all the top guys having creative control in their contracts and no new stars ever being made, the popular phrase at the time was "the inmates run the asylum" in WCW. But they still managed to produce a watchable television product and those top guys were well established marquee names with drawing power.
Conversely, AEW has a roster of man-children cosplaying as wrestlers who have never drawn a penny in their life and EVPs who are only over with a niche segment of smart fans for all the cornball shit they did in Japan years ago and no one in the greater western audiences knows or cares about any of that and are turned off by anything they do see of them currently.
And most of the locker room has shown nothing but disrespect to the veterans that do work there when they try to share their wisdom. It's peak arrogance and immaturity that you wouldn't presume to learn something from people who have been involved in this before you at a much higher level when the business was actually hot and drew money. If Jim Ross felt the need to teach me something important, I would be all ears. They flat out rejected Bret Hart for a match agent position, one of the greatest workers and minds for in-ring psychology ever, and that pretty much says it all about these cretins.
Totally agree with both of these comments 👏 I'm more pissed at Tony than the Bucks, Jungle Jack, and Hangman. Tony does nothing to stop wrestlers from shooting on live TV, an offense that would get you fired on the spot in WWE and is a huge no no in the wrestling industry of the past.
This thread here is pretty much on the money.
Tony has let these “lollipop guild” run the show, while playing along as friends for Mr. TK.
And it’s worked.
80% of the company consists of them and/or their close friends they convinced Tony to hire.
It’s hopeless there.

Yeah, it's been apparent to most sensible people for over a year, now.

“Feared for his life”
Brian is absolutely right. Tony Khan, born from a billionaire, never lived the life of anyone who had to lift a finger, because he didn’t, his dad did it for him. Never had to start from nothing, never had any obstacles to overcome, and DEFINITELY never had to resolve a conflict.
Say what you will about Vince, and yeah he’s also a lucky nepotist scrub, but he was born into the industry, and his altercation with NAILZ could’ve been much more devastating than Toby standing 15ft away from a scuffle.
Say what you will about anyone involved in the fight, but Tony is the one to put the blame on. He’s a bad boss, and someone who cut corners to get to that position as opposed to someone who has experience and lived a normal life.
For real. Just imagine Tony trying to reel in the tempers and egos of wrestlers in the past. The Punk/Perry fiasco was child's play.
Imagine Tony seeing Siv stabbing Arn with scissors.
The word bothers people, but Tony is the personification of a beta male. He can’t even try to be boss now, it’s way too late. Vince rightfully is criticized for a lot, but you need his type A personality to run a company.

AEW Fears CM Punk
Tony Khan fears ratings, and not being a (in MJF's words), "fucking mark".
The way Tony Khan is acting, AEW should be shown on the Lifetime Network.
😂😂😂😂😂😂
😅😅😅
Hahaha
With its reliance on tropes, it feels more like Hallmark-level shit.
AEW feels like seasons 4-6 of The Sopranos.
For those not familiar with the show, the first three seasons have a different tone. There is more lighting, more color and vibrancy in how the show is filmed the and the main crew is united. It reflects that the main characters are successful and they have hit their highs.
Seasons 4-6 is way different. Its darker, the main characters are in a downward spiral of their own doing and the show lets you know explicitly the end is coming for all of them and it doesn’t end well. That is what AEW feels like right now. That slow creeping morbid feeling of the end is coming because of all the backstage issues and politics. AEW is the weird pygmy thing that is barely holding itself together.
Don’t compare AEW to the Sopranos please.
@christophmatthews4313 i think hes just trying to say you can see the end coming. Not comparing the quality.

Tony Khan: He was abusive to the staff!🤌🤌🤌
Punk came at him with a chainsaw. Khan has the right to defend himself!
Something funny just occurred to me: AEW lives or dies entirely at Tony Khans whim. If Tony suddenly decides that playing with living wrestling toys isn’t as fun as he thought it would be, there’s nobody behind him to keep this thing going.
Tony's statement was the most ridiculous part of this entire mess to me. He's probably the first promoter in wrestling history to never have seen an actual fight. Can you imagine Vince or Bill Watts EVER saying they "feared for their lives"? Even with his being the sone of a billionaire, I find it flabbergasting that Tony was apparently never involved in a playground push and shove. It explains a lot about why the product is so soft now.
He needs to leave wrestling now
those promoters didn't deal with soft bitch ass wrestlers like cm diva that like to sue them for money. TK was smart for saying that as ridiculous as it sounds they are covering their asses. punk is fucked. bye philicia 👋😂
It's like Tony Khan has never seen a bar fight or even a playground scuffle. Kids want to be like Triple H or Vince McMahon, kids were playing with Vince McMahon toys while he was the GM and making weekly appearances. There aren't even Tony Khan action figures because no one would buy them.
Wrestling i supposed to be about a celebration of masculinity. Tony Khan just doesn't have that masculine appeal to him. AEW may not last in 10 years like this.
Where would he see a real fight? This may have been his first exposure to a physical conflict.😅
@@TheChadTI Even with the privileged life he's led, he never had a playground scuffle with a bully or saw a bar fight? I'm pretty much the last guy who would participate in any of that. but it's shocking to me that anyone could become a near middle-aged adult with absolutely zero exposure to that sort of thing? How the other half live I guess.
I completely agree everything is Tony's fault here. Because he didn't do anything last year, it set a bad precedent. What he should've done last year was forced Punk and "The Elite" to shake hands and work together after the brawl to prove they were team players. And if they refused he should have fired everyone on the spot for making the environment there unprofessional. Punk obviously was trying to get fired and was so miserable. But I do think that Tony Khan should not be in charge of AEW. The guy isn't fit to run a McDonald's much like a wrestling promotion. Because it's clear in that statement he was forced to fire Punk because he doesn't have the balls to do anything himself.
You’re half right but cm punk reached out to the elite and Kenny several times after the brawl out asking to do business and squash their beef and Kenny had his lawyers tell punk “don’t talk to kenny” FTR even said in a podcast that punk is the only one willing to do business because he understands the business. And then we found out that a week before wembly punk AGAIN tried to meet with the elite and kenny, talk out their issues, and work together moving forward, and they canceled the meeting the last minute, and then left punk stranded at the airport in London. Punk isn’t the problem here
We're forgetting about all the incidents Sammy Guevara has gotten himself into (Andrade/ Eddie Kingston) and he still has a job.
@@thehorrorhound6575 THANK YOU I’m not trying to say Punk is perfect but what could he do in this situation he tried to do business and they still crapped on him
@@thehorrorhound6575 I am aware he tried to work with them which is precisely why I was saying Tony Khan should have fired them too. Because they have been stirring things up and I believe intentionally getting the locker room to turn on Punk which is both childish and unprofessional. Tony should've made them squash all of this a year ago and addressed it in the locker room and tell everyone that if they can't be professional then they are fired and sent home.
Like that’s gonna solve anything. That same shit was going to continue now regardless. Tony Kahns mistake was not firing punk last year when he went into business for himself and expose the business for his own personal benefit. Punks a cancer. Won’t be long til AJ divorce him

Since Cody left. We’ve heard more about what’s going on backstage then about what’s happening with storylines at AEW and that’s telling.
So Tony's safety was okay for the rest of the show and the following six days until The Cucamonga Kids, Twinkle Toes, Hangnail and Cutlet gave the order to fire him.
So ur defending punks actions in escalating to violence?
@@eddiew2325😂 Don't write a check you can't cash, little boy. Crying victim afterwards just shows you clowns are soft.
this is even more funny now lol
Khan “pushing and shoving put everyone in danger”
Khan “tune in next week, our first ever , razor blades and cheese grater massacre match, inside a ring filled with explosives”
Punk should do a "most dangerous man in pro wrestling" gimmick
Tony is not only a Klown, hes also a liar. Punk quit,he wasnt fired
Remember we've mow seen the footage.
Your butt bonking 2 monitors whilst you stop a take down will make an adult man fear for their life.
🤡
Tony. Why didn't you stand up and put some bass in your voice? 😂
It was a crap situation to be in. No doubt. You shouldn't have had to have that happen. But, you let it happen.
Think of how many steps it took to get there and how many chances you had to stop it?
This is all even funnier in hindsight 😂
This is a statement from a man running a professional wrestling company. Even if Kurt Angle held a rifle to Vince's head, I don't see McMahon making such a cowardly non kayfabe statement.
Well shoot, I stopped watching WWE over 20 years ago. Never seen cm punk wrestle until AEW. Instantly liked him and now I'm about done with wrestling again.
I'm pretty much done with AEW. Was never an Elite fan.
I imagine Tony just screaming as loud as he could while cm punk walked towards him ,
His eyes probly turned into saucers
The privilege is hilarious that TK has. TK is always saying “this is the greatest, tomorrows going to be great, this was the greatest” and he’s maybe been right once 😅
Punk with the Nailz jumpsuit is tremendous
They booed Tony because they were in Chicago. Anywhere else Tony would get the biggest cheer of his life and they would be right to cheer him
"Phil play an important role within AEW and I want to thank him for his contribution. The termination of his AEW contracts with cause is ultimately my decision and mine alone" - Tony Khan
I refuse to give this company anymore of my money congrats tony
Cant imagine how happy punk is to finally get his release from this company
😂😂😂Jack Perry is truly turning into an all time great heel 🤣 classic heel taking some major heat off of Punk.
Jim Cornette had me giggling once he played the audio from Tony Kahn hell I found it comical myself
Tune in next week
Was CM Punk fearing for his life, when Tony’s 3 VP’s decided to storm his locker room
CM Punk should go to WWE starting a faction called The Discipline Committee !!!!!!
Who all thinks AEW just killed Chicago?
So basically, Mr. Khan is saying “Punk screwed Punk” - That didn’t go over well in 97-98 and it’s even worse in 23-24
By the end of the year I’m convinced my YT channel will be more popular than Collision.
Tony Kahnt.
TK looks like the kind of guy that fears for his life when he accidentally drinks dairy milk
Or a vegan that fears for their life when they accidentally eat meat.
Tony feared for his life every time he signed a new wrestler. That hug he’d give was basically saying
Please don’t yell at me
