I feel Tuomas’s piano is very old school classical influenced on this album. This one and beginning of Spider Silk especially. I know ppl want Floor singing high all the time but I absolutely adore her low notes. So rich and beautiful.
Nightwish is their own genre and no other band comes close to the level they are at. ❤ Never, in the history of music entertainment, have a set of skills and talent collided in such powerful manner. Tuomas is a true genius as a composer and with lyrics.
Lyrically, this seems to be a memorial to Tuomas' father, who passed away around the time the album was being written. I could be wrong, but I would guess the footage behind Floor is old home movies of him.
This is from the very Soul of Humanity, the Heart of the World. That's why it resonates and is so familiar. It makes you think, "I must have heard this before."
So symbolic, the sound of an old fashioned movie projector at the end. The albums starts and ends with that. This song is amazing, just as An Ocean of Strange Islands
This is such a beautiful song, it brings me to tears. And some parts of it reminds me of "The song of Amergin" (Ireland, 8th century). The whole album Yesterwynde is a masterpiece and I love both the heavy and soft songs. In my opinion Nightwish is a genre of its own, not only symphonic metal but including so many other influences and I just love this.
Dude, one if your best reactions, I could see how much you felt this beautiful song, and I agree 100% about Tolkien, I think he would really appreciate Nightwish. Keep up the good work brother, it's great to be part of your Nightwish journey 🤘
Thank you very much I really appreciate it! I didnt think it would grab me the way it did! It was like they found a direct line to my emotions! This is way more than I could have ever hoped I cant wait to talk with everyone about the full album, its getting a lot of great feed back!!! Thank you again and its great to have you along for the ride!
@@marvuo No, they signed a multi album deal not long ago..... It is the final chapter of the trilogy of albums and also a very personal ending for Tuomas as his father passed away and it was the first song he wrote for this album.
A phrase that keeps coming to my mind the more I listen to this song, and it seems a lot of reactors are feeling this same way about it even if many seem to be struggling to define it, is simple yet profound. The melody sticks in your head, and the more you listen to it the more you notice subtle little details that just draw you in deeper and deeper.
Thank you I appreciate that! I try to be as genuine as possible with out sounding to mushy! This release is like the same feeling when The Lord Of The Rings trilogies were coming out (Stick with me) where I was very familiar with the lore it made me want to dig more into things and I think now that this is out after a few more listens I am going to start from the beginning of this trilogy and take the plunge and go on the incredible journey laid out before me! Feel free to dig into our Nightwish playlist and make suggestions on songs we should check out or show folks next, it is very appreciated!!!
Beautiful song 9/10 I feel like this song is a ode to everyone who lost theier parrents!! Floor sings the sentence, i was the one who climbed of your back not long ago, same words used in the song Our decades in the sun, that basicly why i say its about lost parrents, who became stardust..
Got the earbook today. I've listened to the band version but I need to listen to the instrumental and orchestral versions because some, like The Antikythera Mechanism and The Children of 'Ata are so dense in orchestration I need to hear stripoed down versions. Currently Lanternlight and Sway are my favourites but lots of listening will change that. But this is beautiful, a great end to the album. Many, if not all, the tracks have been released now. Tuomas is, of course, a Tolkien fan...
Yeah I was gonna mention that it should mostly be on RUclips but at the time it was still waiting to notify me so I thought better of it just in case...lol..I really feel like this album is gonna take a bit to unpack for a lot of folks in a lot of ways weather you look at it from just the album itself or where it fits in the bigger story! I had heard he was a Tolkien fan but I had already assumed from the way his story telling is so I figured it would be an apt comparison! Glad you are enjoying it, I cant wait to really sit and listen to it on repeat! Its going to be a great weekend!!! Enjoy!!!
@@TheKillogicEffect Yes, listening to all of it again several times this weekend in all three versions. Just for your info, Tuomas says it is best to listen to it all, in order, with the lyrics in front of you And while he said The Day Of.. is core to the album, he also said the standout track is The Children of 'Ata, which was inspired by the story of the Castaway Tongan children .
@@TheKillogicEffectI've listened to all three discs a couple of times and there's a lot to unpick. My first lesson learned, though, is this: don't focus just on the new material you haven't heard before. Listening to the instrumental versions in particular, reminded me just how good Perfume of the Timeless is. There's a lot more going on in there than you may realise at first and in fact, it stands on its own as an instrumental without the icing of Floor's vocals.
Then why even leave a comment? Seems a bit odd to go out of your way and waste your time with one but not the other...lol. If its in mono it is something on your end because I cant make it anymore stereo than it already is! Perhaps it could be a RUclips thing or your device!

She has such a broad dynamic range, its good to see that being utilized

Absolutely! This new album is no exception to that rule!!!

Yeah that track lyrically I wouldnt be surprised! It was a real beautiful touching and relatable song!

Absolutely!!! Very well put!!!
Very well said 👌
Floor just turned me to pudding...This is fantastic music...Thank god or whatever for Nightwish.. Great reaction . Cheers from a finn in Sweden.
Yeah this was a beautiful book end for sure! She was just brilliant on top of and already brilliant melody
Pudding, yes, never thought of that word, but absolutely. She is a Goddess!
So symbolic, the sound of an old fashioned movie projector at the end. The albums starts and ends with that. This song is amazing, just as An Ocean of Strange Islands

Es una canción muy bella que envuelve, que transporta a lo profundo del ser. Es mágica ✨

How fitting the final song on the album is Floor's.

Kiitos, Metal Head DJ. There is a wonderous gentle side in every metal head in my experience.

So beautiful played and so delicated sang by Floor.
Touch my heart for sure.
Thanks for your reaction! Interesting listen to your thoughts.
Saludos 💚👍
Thank you very much! This is such a beautiful song and such a great way to bookend the whole journey!
I have watched this video many, many times by now. Floor and Troy and Tuomas made glorious music

Can't wait to pick up my CD tomorrow morning! I can't wait to listen to it from start to finish! This is Tuomas' greatest album!
Another great reaction man. This is indeed beautiful. Floor's vocal is stunning! So, what else is new right?
Thank you very much and absolutely couldnt agree more!
Pure musical artistry and poetry. Leave it to Tuomas and Nightwish to bring such a masterpiece!🎸🤘

So gorgeous. Wow. Just bought the entire album and love it end-to-end. Thank you for this reaction.

Listening to this song I feel hug’s warmth and peaceful all over my body ❤❤❤❤❤

Just amazing emotional
Absolutely!!!
You mentioned JRR Tolkien....Nightwish did a track called Elvenjig Elvenpath
I recall someone saying Tuomas Holopainen was a big Tolkien fan as am I so I am looking forward to this, thank you very much I really appreciate!
Another beautiful song, and reminds me of her song Warchild.
Bow Down to the Queen
Layed down all her vocals in 6 days ....blew tuomas and the other band members away .
She is an amazing creature with an incredible talent and her beautiful spirit shines through in everything she does!

Wow, that makes it all that much more touching and relatable! Such a beautiful brilliant piece of music!
Thank you for reacting to NW!

Now all dead people in the movie at the background.
You won’t hear it live for quite some time. They are not going on tour this year or next.
Yeah I'm sure they will do some one offs but we wont see a tour for quite some time!
Well said Bro!
Thank you, its a beautiful song that ends an incredible album!!!
If JRR Tolkien were around... I would expect to hear this sone in Rivendell.
Absolutely!!! I bet they could do an awesome song in Elvish!
