The toilet is an early-mid ‘90s Peerless Pottery Franklin, I believe, with an early water saving mechanism reservoir surrounding the flapper and overflow tube.
No that's the hole for putting your combustion tester probe in. This is chimney vent (looks like at least) so it should be under negative pressure while the furnace is running (draft). Looks like it's rusty because the exhaust gases are condensing in the pipe and rusting the metal from the edge where the hole was drilled since it's not galvanized there. Most oil and gas chimney vent boilers and furnaces will have a hole drilled in the vent pipe unless there is a specific test hole provided in the appliance. The Burnham Megasteam like I have at my house for example has a 1/4" plug that can be taken out for combustion testing and draft measurement.
Right....I don't know why Steve works for people who don't do "annual maintenance " on their units. He has enough work to do...not worth the health issue either...
You should carry a few of those led lights that screw into a socket for better lighting, then leave it behind and build the cost into the job. At least there would be light next time your there again.
Looks like one of Rheem’s budget brands from back in the day. Over here in So Cal the majority of Rheem’s budget stuff I’ve come across are Weather Kings and Corsaires. Only differences I’ve noticed between these and the actual Rheem/Ruud branded units, which use spark ignition and have a built in fuse on the board, is these budget versions use hot surface ignition and have no fuse on the control board. There have been a couple times where I’ve had to replace transformers on these, because of a low voltage short which fried the transformer; no fuse protection. I would always wire in a fuse inline with the secondary side of the new transformer.
@@Pentti_Hilkuri You could be right, but imho the airflow and circulation will kill off the mold spores before they can colonize other areas of the house. Remember heat dries stuff out too.
Is that Salem's lot basement?? I might be speaking out of turn, don't know much about vampires, just know they like blood and are friendly until they want something from you.........
Mom would go to bed with rocks she warmed up on the woodstove in the winter no furnace growing up in the old farmhouses!
Nice job Steve--had parts in the rolling supply house, quick and easy job when you don’t have to run for parts.

My bad I was commenting on the leaking toilet video and somehow the above comment got transferred to this vid, my computer’s glitching. 😐
Its time for some cooking with Steve. Winter stew.
Big Cook!
That furnace is a flamethrower!
Replaced a fair share of those ignitors in gas dryers as well. Some of those old systems last way longer than expected with simple repairs like this.
Dang that one was set up rough. A little of everything out there, like you said. Thanks for the video and stay safe out there.
I got these in the truck. That goes without saying. 😂. Thanks. I'd run a dehumidifier if that was my place.
That is the most rushed furnace I've ever seen I'd be scared to sleep with it
Any updates on the toys in the yard. Snow stuff???
I’d be surprised if exchanger doesn’t rot in next 5 years. Thanks Steven!
flames looked a little dancy today
It’s not a Carrier.
@@picklerix6162gotta love high eff Bryant carrier 10 years tops
I think that exchanger was compromised. Those flames seemed to be bouncing
Did I see a rust hole in the vent? Omg

She should be more scared of her basement and not of Trump
Best comment I've seen so far
Haaaaaaa😂

i think she was saying she was scared of being shot while seeing him or something
Give her some Trumpenol. Treats TDS. Trump Derangement Syndrome.
Damn, that’s a loud furnace
At 13:15 was that a floor Joist that was broken and missing?
What supply house do you get the Robert Shaw from

watch out for rats.
I have never heard of Conquest before. Are they a fairly new brand?
Hats off your a trooper I highly recommend you to everybody😊😊👍👍
Molly is looking good.
Howdy Steve and Miss Molly 4th
At least the furnace is exchanging the air from the basement so less mold down there.
The basement is basically heated, and the mold and other nasty is spread through the house...

I was waiting for you to say something about those cobwebs! Then you did!! LMAO!!!
No flipping switch.
So did the black mark on the igniter mean it was split? Open circuit, no glow?
Yup, it was cracked.
Cracked, causing an open. They have a life cycle, this one reached the end... Rip
Perfect 👌
Have a happy thanksgiving 🦃🥧🇺🇸
What’s a “dizasstah”?
Could that igniter switch be cleaned just wondering
NOPE! its appears to have a hair line crack. It's best to replace if giving troble
I think she wants the furnace to WORK PROPERLY... replace it fgs
Yea... One Stank Nasty ...
What voltage do the ignitors use?
120v.
Some trane furnaces are 80v
why do you wear shoes
Looks like it’s been running in a swamp.
Siliconecarbite ignitors always break
Sounds like a Toyota engine when running .
Hello Steve!
Easy one
Is that Salem's lot basement?? I might be speaking out of turn, don't know much about vampires, just know they like blood and are friendly until they want something from you.........
put a shut off switch on it.
Last person there is required to bring up to code.
Just a furnace is not rocket surgery
Sounds like he was saying that he wasnt afraid OF Trump, but afraid FOR Trump...
Hey Steve and Miss Molly! Workin’ again ya’ll. 👍👍
What is this? No one in NE has steam? What’s with all these furnaces?
Crusty momma
Doing surgery in those gloves.
Not soo smart valve
