I’ve had tinnitus for the last 30 years or so, the sound of a fan nearby helps cancel out the sound in my head. I do watch these videos with a pair of noise cancelling headphones, the sound is improved and it diminishes some annoying outside noises. I have noticed though that lately, there is a high pitched sound in the scenes with Steve in the truck.
What a great job as always. I have learned so much from this man over the years. Thanks again. Happy Holidays to you steve, and to all thats veiwing this .
My hearing is almost gone. I watch videos with headphones and closed captioning. Deafness runs on my mom’s side of family. I have hearing aids but hate wearing in house because I hear shit that I never heard before, lol.
He has said that he doesn’t like doing coils because the bolts break off. Then he has the tiger by the tail. The broken bolts need drilling out a the holes tapped.
In Maine its around $325.00 for an oil burner cleaning. New nozzle, tank filter, and pump screen, brush and vacuum boiler tubes and firebox, and efficiency and smoke test. Steve should have just given the old fart a rough estimate when he asked how much a cleaning was, especially since he's a repeat customer.
@@stevenlavimoniere Oh ok, I use heat paste all the time in temp wells and I've never seen it make things stick in there. It helps for good heat transfer.
prescription hearing aids are supposed to be adjusted for the frequencies that your hearing is bad in rather than just amplifying everything my mom had them for most of her life she kept going down from having scarlet fever as a child
You’re right. If you just keep turning up the volume, then it can cause noise induced hearing loss. Some of the more advanced hearing aids have noise cancellation. I have lots of trouble hearing in noisy places.
Costco have the best hearing aids they have the best testing I go to the Avon store around $1.400 don’t like them you can return them no issues they are prescriptions. They are the same ones selling for 5 to 7 grand. Thank You
@@gyver471and why would that be reason for a discount? Ima ask that every lumber package I get from now on. Lol. Think Lowe’s will go for it if I ask since Its over $1000?
Hi Steve, I've heard they make hearing aids now that look like Earbuds/Airpods. I have no idea if they help moderate to severe hearing loss. I will add, we took my mom who had bad hearing loss to costco about 8 years ago give or take to look into hearing aids and after testing they quoted a price of $6,800 needless to say we did not get those.
It is very easy to abuse our ears. Back in the day when I went out to night clubs, the music was played so loud we couldn't even talk to each other. We thought nothing of it. People working in machine shops without hearing protection. The younger generation all used ear buds blasting music into their ears.
Is it illegal for hvac guys to own battery impact tools and sockets? How about anti-seize compound on the studs? Damn, I'm acting like it's mine again! Sorry Steve, i forgot about the hourly time factor. That would drive me nuts. I would charge by the job, not the hour.
Steve...the audiologist should have given you an audiogram that test your hearing range in frequency and loudness..That produces a chart where he/she can see where your hearing drops off and the level is too low for you to hear it. Then they can prescribe a hearing aid tuned to that frequency range so you can hear it.That is why they are expensive. I have a problem with some women's voices because their voice is between 2500-3000 Hz. My hearing drops off about 2500, so I may or may not hear the word correctly. Your doctor was giving you a "word test" to see if you had trouble with some words... called a word recognition test (WRT). Over the Counter hearing aids are mostly amplifiers, they don't have any tuners, so they may help...Their are videos on RUclips. that will explain this...Don't be too hard on that audiologist... I hope this helps.
What a great video, we rarely get to see a tankless coil changed.

Never saw a tankless coil leak. Had 2 of them in both boilers I had prior to my current one and none leaked over 65 years. Must be hard water.
Thanks 😎🤟
You are lucky those bolts came loose on that coil removed one a while back and every bolt was rusted off had to drill and tap every bolt hole out
If ever there was a place where stainless steel was called for I would think this would be it.
coil replacements are always a risk. those bolts could easily back out OR you could be there a few extra hours retapping lol
Grinder looks fine to me, looks just like mine. I threw my guard away too, with it on it's useless.
Know the feeling when hard to hear.finally got hearing aids. Big improvement
My hearing ain’t great, but I heard that gong! Nice

We’re not scared of your grinder Steve! Unless of course you put one of them comically large 14” disks on it 😅
He had that discount on his mind the entire time , ppl piss me off with that bs
He should have gave him one this is over a $1000 bill.

How about a Steve discount .
HELICOPTER MOMMA!!!!!!
Hey Steve, we’re all gettin a little long in the tooth. It’s a bitch gettin old!! Happy Holidays to you and Miss Molly. Thank you for this video
Hello Steve!
she's a flippin leaker Steve 😂😂
Another good job. FYI Celer is spelled 'Cellar' of you wanna change your title.
"she a leaker"
cellar
M dad was a plumber!Go to a job fix one thing another piece would break or leak!
Hello Steve
Who is the Einstein that installed that ball valve on the return line after the water feeder? 😐
Hey Steve and Miss Molly! Workin’ again ya’ll. 👍👍
Tankless coil prices are insane these days. I only know because I sell them.

Prescription versus over-the-counter approximately $5000. It’s a racket
Totally
What do you guys think... $1800 job to do all that including parts?
$1500 +-$300 is my guess 🤔
I think $720 for labor and $700 for parts, $1,420.
And the boiler still is junk. When lot of bits start failing it is time to replace the thing at once IMHO.
Never-Sieze on the studs in case the coil needs to be replaced in the future.
"C-E-L-L-A-R". it's spelled "Cellar"
Shes 0:35 a squealer mama!

Cellar, not celer.
Steve isn't winning any spelling b's...
Who cares
Another leaker, Steve
Why not just replace the coil with a 50 gallon electric water heater. IJS 🤷🏾♂️
