Righto the symbols and info you are actually looking for people is - the five droplets symbol on your temperature knob and the fan with a downward semi circle and three drops on your function knob. Set those two things and leave oven for 20minutes. You are most welcome and happy cleaning! Blessings!
Hi, first of all as an avid manual reader I can’t believe I had to search the internet to find out how to use the VAPOUR CLEAN as nowhere in the whole Instruction Manual does it even mention how to do it. Then even worse, when I find this video you don’t explain how to put the Vapour Clean programme in motion. Thankfully @Miluiel did that for you below. This video is a year old, you’d think you would have updated it considering all the comments.
#1 not helpful #2 you had washing liquid in the 40ml of water your poured in the well in bottom? If not why is their foam in jug? #3 starting to get annoyed cause one to talk on smeg. My oven has the vapour clean on temperature but i don't know which function to use on the function setting(circular, fan assisted, eco, etc?) Therefore because it is not in the manual have spent 2hours trying to get this to work and lose it soon
This works to a degree, but there is still fat residue on the back plate and sides of the oven ~ what do you clean that off with? Mine is a new oven which I clean once a week it’s still spottled with fat marks on the back ~ can I use an oven cleaner on this surface. Manual is hopeless forgiving advice!!

Along with the rest of those who made comments about this useless video, I am also extremely frustrated and ready to replace this and all SMEG appliances that were installed in our kitchen. WORST user interface I have EVER experienced. And after seeking searching endlessly for videos or support to get the steam oven to use its supposedly super easy vapor clean function, my steam oven has sat for two days with 40cc of water and spray because the oven will not go into vapor clean mode no matter how many times I try to activate it. Needless to say, I am ticked off.

SMEG is the kind of product that you feel irritated when using it; and angrier when trying to find solutions. I have both SMEG oven and grill microwave oven. I only got those because they come with the new builds apartments. SMEG are so user UNFRIENDLY, with confusing manuals, and now hopeless official videos.
@@SmegUKOfficial Hi Poppy, your comment is five month old: what about producing a video, that's really helpful? Or a good manual in the first place?? Everything your customers, including me, write here is correct! So do something about it!
@@rosen-garten629 Good morning, We do produce manuals on each of our products which would give instructions on how to use this function. I can go ahead and get this for you if you would like? @@rosen-garten629 Good afternoon, If you could please provide me the model code for your appliance I will then go ahead and get this information for you. Thank you, Poppy
This is what my Smeg manual (SFRA9300X) says.. 1. Set a cooking time of 18 minutes using the programmer clock. 2. Turn the temperature knob to the symbol. The Vapor Clean cycle starts a few seconds after the last press on the programmer clock keys. 3. At the end of the Vapor Clean cycle, the timer will deactivate the oven heating elements, the buzzer will sound and the numbers on the programmer clock will flash. Except it doesn't do ANYTHING. The unit does not turn on without setting the FUNCTION knob, which has 8 different functions, so which one is it? I've seen another video and I believe its the Lower Element function (bottom half circle)
Hilarious! And instead of producing a new and better video, they tell people, to "reach out via facebook" or fill out a form, to get further instructions. Because theiy produced a useless manual in the first place. Unbelievable. I'll never buy one of their products again!

Thanks- this video is completely useless without this information 👍👍👍
Thank you! I wish that was in the video. Much appreciated info.
But which setting is the cycle? How do you turn it on?

The version with the pizza stone has holes in the bottom (where you remove cover). Do you pour water down there? It will go below to the element.

How not to do a cleaning instruction video, more so a "how to poor water into the bottom of your oven" 1 minute tutorial,

Mentions cleaning cycle……never shows or says how to run a cleaning cycle.
