For cleaning oven door glass, you should check the metal retainer on the top of the oven door when you open it. I'm not sure whether it's applicable on every cooker model, but on various models you open the oven door, lift the metal retainer up or slide it off (the white part on that cooker by the look of it). This gives you access to the the front glass plate so you can lift it out and clean inside. This is so you don't have to take the door off or use a fly swatter!

My pressure washer trigger doesn't have a lock. I have a zip tie around the handle, just tight enough not to slide over the trigger when not engaged. When I want to lock it on, I pull the trigger down and slide the zip tie up around the trigger. When done, slide it back down. Wonder if that might help you. I'm tired of working for other people and trying to start a cleaning company for myself. Thanks for the tips!

Yes I get that and we have an older video with a steam cleaner only. It still took a long time. I wondered if it would speed it up with a degreaser. Nope.
My goal is to find the quickest easiest way or to test what makes the biggest difference.
No or low chemical is ideal to me but it isn't always effective.

We get asked this a lot. There are many reasons. It overheats your kitchen for hours. It has fumes.. The extreme heat can damage your oven.
Bad for pet birds and the gasses can kill them. This is a healthier alternative that’s safer.

The Tosca is heavy and made of steel so it’s professional level. Honestly, I use my Neat more but I use the Tosca for bigger messes because it holds more water and you don’t have to refill it as often. Plus it’s stronger.
      Steam temperature - Neat
Affects the effectiveness and speed to clean, sanitize, degrease or deodorize.
      275°F Neat
      316°F Tosca
      Steam pressure
The higher the steam pressure, the easier it will be for heavy duty jobs.
      50 psi / 3.5 bar Tosca
      72.5 psi / 5 bar Neat
Hope that helps, thanks for using our link if you decide to purchase one.

Nice job but why didn't she wear a mask when she was steaming the oven? I'm concerned about her inhaling the grease and grime that the steam lifted off of the oven.

It is but sometimes it’s bad and it helps to use some. Still far less than without the steam cleaner. I did make a video that was all baking soda and vinegar. It took a few hours and lots of scrubbing.

I don't wear a mask when I clean. I typically have a window open if there are harsh fumes.
There was good airflow in this kitchen. But I agree, it's safer to wear a mask. We're going to focus on greener options because of this issue. And reducing plastic waste.

Maybe isolate the power to your oven before cleaning - the oven light is on. Is death by electrocution worth a clean oven? The professional oven cleaners have specialist equipment, industrial sized ultrasonic cleaners. They know how to dismantle ovens properly, and reassemble them again. The average domestic clean will miss the built up grease under seals and inside the glass. Not to sure about using a vacuum cleaner on the loose debris. It's usually greasy, and could ruin your expensive vacuum cleaner.

    • @CleanFreakGermaphobe
      @CleanFreakGermaphobe  4 года назад +6

You're way above our league. Most pro cleaners won't take apart the oven because it's a risk to put it back. I wipe the biggest pieces and vacuum out the smaller pieces.

You don't have to unplug it to clean it. It just needs to be turned off. Unless your oven manufacturer says to. I checked GE and it doesn't say to.

Coincidentally I'm appliance tech so i know about this, any maintenance on appliances requires to unplug the power cord or breaker beforehand.
It takes just a second to switch the breaker off, doing that could save a life.

Thanks for your coming comment. I wonder why it's not in owners manuals in the section about cleaning.
I'll do this from now on when I can. I did in my most recent oven cleaning video because of comments on this thread.
It's odd that even in the professional cleaners group I'm in people don't unplug.
This wasn't my house or oven. I have a gas oven and it's a wall oven. So I've never had to unplug it and didn't know it was a safety issue.
