Cheeky Seaford Fishing Trip

- With terrible May rot and spider crabs inhabiting the shore of Shoreham, at every distance and eating every bait, a change of venue was needed. So, I headed to Seaford for this last-minute fishing trip.
Armed with frozen lug and crabs, I hoped to catch a plaice or perhaps a flounder. I was also keen to find out how bad the rot was at this venue and whether there was a plague of spiders here as well!
In the video, I show the rigs used, baiting up techniques and the fish landed.
Seaford ain't what it used to be,rot or no rot,it never fishes well these days. Even the mackerel can't be easily found in the season.a good effort Gem.keep on chucking !😊
Yeah - it used to consistently fish well.
Gem , why not come to South Wales to give the rays a bash, and next month sole fishing. You may enjoy, and be good for your channel
Lovely idea, one day maybe! Thanks for the suggestion. Sole not far off now :-)
Fair play for fishing through the may rot. It’s grim! Well done Gem
Yep - totally vile stuff. Especially when it flies in your face on the cast. Yuck!
Great watch Gemma well done cheers 🎣
Glad you enjoyed it, thanks for watching.
nice short sesh gem no blank is always a good thing the may rot still a pain cheers gem
Yeah - I was kind of expecting to blank! Rot finally seems to be clearing out down here now.
Blank avoided. And all on frozen bait. Plus you topped up the tan!! 😂🐳👍
Yeah, it turned out lovely down there!
Done it gem OMG how simple is that, and it was yr friend the shore hunter 😂 chers gem your a gem xx
hi Gem like your vids, keep them comeing, did like sea fishing, but got hurt at work,so cant cast the rods out,so now just watch,
Sorry to hear that, I hope you get some improvement and manage to get out again one day. Glad you're liking the vids.
A couple of friends and I went there Monday evening, rods pulled round by may rot early on in the tide but eased up as high tide approached, a few dogs, strap conger and plaice, Seaford like all venues blows hot and cold, had a Thornback ray there a few weeks back before the rot set in, regards.
Sounds like a good session with that rot about!
Hi gem long time no see yr lovely smile , well I'm going to boil it down to the may rot y you didn't catch much today at least you got a flattie 😃 it dont matter bout the spotty thing next time yr out youll be dragging them in left right and centre you see , still looking forward to seeing sole video to be honest i cant wait , i love yr beach bivvy gem cant quite see what it is ,till next time soon bye for now
Darn rot! Thank goodness it is starting to clear. Sole wont be far off now ... already a few coming out, but not in decent numbers. I'll be trying for them soon. The bivvy is the Tronixpro Snug. Great for the shorter sessions or long walks, as it is fairly light.
Nice little sesh! We've all had worse.
Beats a blanks for sure!
looks like you had a great time , well done for getting the fish you caught , despite the may rot ..
Thanks 👍
That's good fishing 🎣 with all that may water about well done 😊

The rot has been everywhere!! Finally its starting to clear out. Phew.
O and I'm getting one 😂
Thanks for replying gem I'm going to look the bivvy u I like it and as it's light weight that's even better, Nd for the sole moving in I'm itching to see you pull some good stamp sole doesn't matter about the amount as long there big inuff for the table I think they are beautiful fish to catch and to eat 👍 see you soon
Cool. I use my Bigaloo on longer sessions or where I need a bigger shelter. I’ll have to get off my backside and dig some maddies at some point for those sole.
@@ClickBaitGem yes get off yr bum go get some gem I'm excited now 🤣🤣 I wonder if it's possible to show us how you put up yr bivvy please 🙏😏
