I own the 1723 Monitors and never long for more. They are excellent sounding speakers and I would buy them again. I will say, their customer ssrvice is tops.
Excellent point from Gene at around 7:30 in, that often a surround sound system can be forgiving to speakers versus a 2-channel system. I've used inexpensive (relatively speaking) speakers and been shocked at the result in even 5.0 or 5.1 set-ups- except at VERY high volumes, which I don't often care for. This is with speakers I've listened to and not cared for in 2 channel systems
I had a pair of Sherwood towers, and one of the woofer magnets came slightly loose and made a rattle against the basket. I fixed it by wedging a piece of rubber from an eye dropper in the gap. So I can appreciate a driver that has a rubber sheathing on the magnet like these do.
I think they’d sell more products if the website actually showed the entire product on all sides. The stylized partial reveals are frustrating, particularly the models with wall mounts that aren’t shown. Also, why aren’t the dimensions in inches on the US site? No one in the US has any idea how long 50cm is.
Yes In ceiling speakers please. I bought an SVS sub from LSound , before they became Arendal Sound and my plate amp of the SVS sub malfunctioned. They were awesome and took care of my problem very rapidly. This is an awesome company. Hope they continue forever. In a couple of years i plan to update my home theater and i plan to make a full Arendal system.
Hi Gene. Would be great if Arendal can build a floorstanding speaker with 10 inch woofers . I believe it would be a monster coming from them & an instant hit considering how great the 1723 Tower THX already is and yet it uses 8 inch woofers. Maybe they’d even give the Polk Legend L800 a run for its money.
I am wondering about buying Arendal 1961 Monitors and 1S Subwoofer. Just got a NAD M10 V2. Will this be a good combination, and will the sound be lost a lot if I place the monitors vertically in a HiFi unit?
I’m confused.. I’ve just reviewed specs on monitors and centers. They seem to be identical other than just the price and logo/post orientation. But! The centers are 50% less. My thought is why not just buy a set of centers and just rotate them? I must be missing something… the 1723 center is 1250 and the monitor is double that… Edit… hahaha, you get a pair for the doubling of price.. yep, thought I found a loophole. The silliest one I’ve ever seen. Jesus.. I could delete my post but i like looking stupid
Thanks Tom And Gene... Having In ceiling 30˚INCEILING like ( Triad ROTATING SILVER/9 SAT ) speakers Is my deciding Factor of wether to go with Arendals.. Please make and announcement soon and I will wait. Considering this is possibly my end game speakers I want to get it right... Timbre match and all!
One issue about the bookshelf vs tower woth sub issue. The tower has it's woofers crossed over at 100Hz to the midwoofers (iirc). So they will have phase rotation around this frequency. This may pose a problem when crossed over with a sub because it will have a different phase response.
Can I have some advice? I have focal aria towers and a matching center speaker. Cost roughly 7.5k AU. Looks like Arendal S towers and center would be about the same price. Would it be suitable for a small room? 3.6m wide 4.3m deep 2.7m high. Worth the upgrade or wouldn't be much of an upgrade from the focal arias?

I have a 7.2.4 Arendal system. It’s incredible and these guys are great to work with.
Great video, thanks Thomas and Gene. Informative, balanced and well-paced. Definitely considering the 1723 monitor for 2-channel use.

Super cool and so excited! Thanks can't wait to get them!
Love to see Arendal getting more attention! I'm excited get my 7.2.4 full Arendal theater going!

Tell that to US companies, which only post imperial measurements. The rest of the world does have to do the math as well...
Nice interview.
I agree, very informative interview, thank-you

1723 towers on their way to Australia. I cannot wait 👍 Great customer service.
Wish I was on my way to Australia 🇦🇺
I seriously thinking of getting the towers 1723 with the center, and work my way around the room total 9 bed layer..

Ascend Acoustics just rolled out new and improved speakers. I'd like to see them compared to the Arendal speakers.

Nice; also saw a Jay Lee youtube today that compared these (biggest tower) favorably to wilson!
Yes inceiling speaker. I'm a Arendal owner. Customer Service excellent.
Nice interview! But that livestream email address reveal :P Congrats, Jeff!
