Junior and Senior year driving one of these. Mine had a Landau top. Black interior and blue paint similar to this one. Captains chairs and shifter on the center console.
Good times.......in the back seat.
I loved my Monte. It was like driving on a living room sofa.
Delivered to Memphis
I remember those old boats. You could get them for $500 when I was a teenager and ya got what you paid for. I like it. The wife hates it.
Ahhh flash backs of my very first car, love it mine was maroon with a vinyl roof front bench seat,
Another beauty worth saving, but it will take another ten Gs to finish it. Still a rare beauty, so thanks for sharing Nick.
It’s only money
Gm did make great cars. Not sure what happened to them.
Greed and Poor engineering! That's what happened!!!.
Changing times
I had a Monte Carlo 1973 same color ( every thing exactly the same and funny I lived in Tennessee in that time ! ) It was a dream machine . Amazing power handling and comfort and that beautiful , aggressive and forward body style . Ps . But it had this GM 2 door cars curse . After a while door hinges dropped due to doors being long and heavy .
Yeah it happens you just gotta re adjust
doors on my 77 have hard time closing. how should someone fix this?
Jarod Warner ive always heard which I’ve never had to do because I only just bought an old camaro but pick up on the end of the door with a little force and that may pull it into adjustment a bit I’ve always done that on squarebodys when to doors start to droop
@@AddictedToDoingBadShit new pins and bushings. should cost you less than $40 for both doors
You can replace the hinge pins with new ones. I've done that with mine.
At 3:24 I thought the siren was the cops coming to give you a seatbelt ticket!
After my Navy time in the 70’s, I bought a light blue Chevy Monte Carlo with a white vinyl roof. The interior was black, with bucket seats that swiveled towards the doors.
Unfortunately I was involved in an accident where I hit a telephone pole that came crashing onto the roof.
The size of that car saved my life.
They don’t make them like that anymore.
Nice looking car. I think that would look amazing with Corvette rallys
Nice looking Monte Carlo.
LOVE those cars. Might be talking soon.
Thanks Nick for showing the video.
My 1st car in Highschool 1979 . Ahhh ... fun times , Drive Ins , girls , tiestick . I will get one again .
Ah man , I meant 73 . Totally red faced. My apologies. Still partying strong these days .
I wanna give a thumbs up for the ones at your place who scouts these Out. To come up with the kickass cards n trucks all the time is awesome. Keep up the nice work Nick..
My aunt had a 73 in Aqua it was a great car..she also took great care of her cars serviced by the dealer garage kept, when she traded her 73 Monte for a 78 Cutlass I wish I knew she was gonna do that I would have bought it.
These were my bros favorite type of cars he had everything. From a 1970 tp 87 ss.
I had a Hot Wheels (or could have been Matchbox) '73 or '74 Monte Carlo that was that color blue, but also had green down the sides with, I believe (thicker than pinstriping) yellow lines following the fender bulges. You should include a matching Hot Wheels car from your dad's shop (if you have them) when someone buys a car from you.
I have a 1995 Monte Carlo; it's my first car. Not nearly as cool as this, but I love mine.
My father gave my brother 1 in the late 80s sweet ride great view brother
FYI most early '70's cars had separate lap/shoulder belts. Look on the floor inside the rocker panel for the lap belt. Should be a button stud on top of buckle and "key hole" in the end of shoulder belt.
That was back in the day that auto workers actually took pride in their efforts.
@Buddy Wiser
That's what happened to them.
;)
That's a beautiful monty. I've got a 76. Love those cars . 😊😊😊
I had one of these as well mine was a landeau she was a good car had a 400 in her . Great smooth cars!
missing part off the fan shroud , may overheat sitting traffic .
was a big block car (or at least its a big block fan shroud) must have added either the shroud or a big block...
Great looking car. Great shade of blue and sounds good too. 👍😎
Colonnade Monte Carlos look superb with all steel roofs. Great shade of blue here as well. We had one of these in 1973.
Hey Nick really nice 73 Monte carlo and a good price as well.
Rebuilding my 75 right now
Man this thing is nice my dad has a green one I wanna restore but idk where to start lol
That was a great Legacy, Bobby did, leaving this in Marla's name!!!
That is a nice looking Monte Carlo and the motor has a nice rumble to it !!!
Superior exhaust sound, l love it, and good engine performans too, that's clear..
It looks really comfortable in there
Car sounds healthy and looks like a great joy ride
Perfect for back roads of Tennessee running moonshine .
Love that car. I had a 78, they shortened the frame. Had a 305ci. I could peel some rubber
Oh I remember that sound!
Very cool color
I own a '75! Nice! ❤
Hood for days! 🤣
Love it!
This model MONTE CARLO always reminds me of the MOCH V !
Beautiful 🌷
My car very beautiful amazing looking car beautiful colour thanks Nick
She's sweet, Nick.
I was partial to the Oldsmobile.
But, a real find would be a 73-74 Grand Am.
Nice work brother!
👍
had one back in 1979 sold it to my neighbor back in 1982 which i keep that car
I hear ya. My parents bought a 1975 Monte Carlo off the showroom floor. It was one of my high school cars back in 75'. Brings back memories. Steve in Texas.
Hey guys, Nick never said it was perfect! If it was then it would be double that price! Besides, I bet there is a little wiggle room on the price, it's kind of expected!
I like that car
Niiiice
Hey Nick do you guys do any repair to these cars at all? Carburetor work tune-ups or minor body repair?
Mine made a hell of a race car.
If I ever become a pimp, I would be all over this.
It would be nice if you would tell us how smooth the shifting is on the automatic transmission. It would also be nice when you do your walk around in the parking lot to show back up lights, turn signals, headlights, things like that. I'm on the west coast and all the little things make a difference. If I were to decide to purchase a car and have it shipped across the country I would like as many visuals in the videos as possible. Thanks, I love the cars and your videos!
My mom had a 1977 and the shifting was buttery smooth.
My God this is nice
It's worth it
Man I missed this one!!! This is one I'd of made a trip for!!! 💙👀 Stay safe, stay blessed and stay dangerous!!! #SemperFi 🇺🇸
my dream car is a vega drag car that you can drive on the street
I had a 78 Chrysler Cordoba was the coolest damn car had a 360 a a couch for a front seat
@@stillnotwoke haha....yes
9” rear rims would totally change the profile . #70’skid
You should have tapped that clock one more time and it would have worked !
Stylish
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Why the 74 bumper on the front end?
That paint oddly hides most of the flaws, but that interior mishmash of weird fabric, trunk and all, just makes it not appealing.
76 no high yiu dod good 👌
Bravo Zulu 👏
I'd buy that for a dollar.
Why the 74 front bumper?
I say horn does work.
That’s my cousin’s 3rd cousin’s car stolen from Texas in 1984. Does that Monte have a clean title?
It's been rolled .
No title.
that little baby 350 engine just doesnt belong in that car. needs a 454
It "looks" like she gets down a bit, wouldn't ya say Nick?
COLD BLOODED
Do you smell your oil?
You could 2-step on that hood all night long. Huuuuge. Nice car.
Nice Monte, but that interior does not look original. Don't recall any Monte having an arm rest option with bench seat...
4000 no more ...
I wouldn't pay $10,900 for that car I might give you a six it needs paint needs upholstery needs trim dash lights don't work It don't even have a air compressor for the AC all that's got to be reworked I would definitely not give you $10,900 for that car 650 would be all I would go if even that
It is an asking price
@Pauly Gambino and that wasn't even a popular model
Yeah, I like it, but that’s about a $7,000 car.
@@stedco75 no it's not neither
Just based on the video I’d say this car is in fair condition, Hagerty lists a ‘73 Monte in fair condition being worth $6,800.
