This is a common misconception but it's not true since it has been ruled many times that AI art can't be protected by copyright, therefore their TOS can't be enforced on users and they can't sue. All Microsoft can do at best is Disable your account and that's it. Also the AI that's generating the AI icons is DALLE 3 which is being rolled into ChatGPT and their TOS allows you to use it for anything so it doesn't even matter since you can just use that. ChatGPT can generate better anyway since you have more controll with the prompts you give it.
I believe we should use Ai more as a tool for inspiration for art, a way to create references so you make something out of it. It shouldn't be used as a way to replace artists, rather I think it could help artists if used right.

as someone who has been making stuff on studio for 2+ years, i can say that there is a line between good ai and bad ai. just using ai for some help on your game for like 4 lines in a script is fine, BUT USING AI JUST TO MAKE A ENTIRE GAME WITH NO WORK, is so annoying.

Unpopular opinion, but I don't think AI is RUINING Roblox. It's completely optional to use an AI tool to create the thumbnail of your game, and even then, the quality of the AI generated "art" usually turns out crap with disproportionate limbs and an overall soulless look. AI image generation has been around for a while so I don't understand why people are acting like Roblox could get any worse than it already is, I'm guessing they think that every front-page game is going to be replaced with AI thumbnails. I don't like AI "art" either as it takes away from the art of actual talented artists, I just think most of the videos with titles saying "Roblox is RUINED!!!" because of this are overreacting a bit. As somebody who is learning to code and going on the journey to becoming a developer Not everybody can just afford an artist for thumbnails. While I think Human art is better than AI art unless you draw it yourself you need to find an artist, pay the artist and wait for the product to be complete while AI art is Free and Normally takes like 20 seconds so I can defiantly understand why these people use it. I don't think it should be shunned or memed on for using AI game thubmnails Im certain that most of the developers doing it are devs of small games that just want a simple image to represent their game.

it's not that deep... before AI it was either people with no money to invest in a game and they made icons themselves and now it's people with no money to invest who use AI instead of making icons themselves. trust me small developers with no money to invest still prefer icons that developers make but they don't have USD/Robux to invest so they either use AI or do it by themselves but after AI no beginner is making icon by themselves.

Guys stop using this. All the ai does is pull real original art, from a massive database. Then it just pixrllates the image and uses ai to fill in whatevers missing. In short, its stealing from artists. So stop using this, let alone paying for it. Because you're just stealing from the people you should be paying in the first place.

As somebody who is learning to code and going on the journey to becoming a developer Not everybody can just afford an artist for thumbnails. While I think Human art is better than AI art unless you draw it yourself you need to find an artist, pay the artist and wait for the product to be complete while AI art is Free and Normally takes like 20 seconds so I can defiantly understand why these people use it. I don't think it should be shunned or memed on for using AI game thubmnails Im certain that most of the developers doing it are devs of small games that just want a simple image to represent their game.
That doesn't give a reason to do this. Heck, as a small Roblox dev myself, I've managed to make decent thumbnails for my projects. Sure, they may just be headshots, but I'd rather make a thumbnail in studio or just draw it rather than being lazy and having some bot do it.

Also, it's not a "tool". It's quite literally like telling a robot "give me a cookie", having the robot hand you the cookie, and then telling people you got it yourself. A tool would be a robot arm that helps you reach it, or something (that may not be the best analogy, but I hope you understand my point of view).
