- heyy so I got one hand of acrylic nails done at a 5 STAR EXPENSIVE Nail salon and then visited a 1 STAR CHEAP Salon for the other hand. The results were very questionable LOL

The 1 star place did a good job… If u show two techs a design they will never be exact. There’s different techs. I don’t think the 5 star place was CLEARLY better just off the work. Love the idea of the video. I just think if you took away the 1 star rating you wouldn’t have talked down on them so bad just focusing on the nails the cleanliness could’ve been better 100%
Not gonna lie, I couldn't immediately see which hand was which... From the close ups I could, but definitely not worth the price difference in my opinion! Loved the video though, as always 😍
As a nail tech, the difference I look at is the shaping, the expensive salon have much better shaping! I don’t think the cheap salon did an awful job but when comparing obviously the other salon won 🥇

Every time I see an influencer get their nails done by chi nails they're always posting about them coming off within a few days of getting them... id be so embarrassed if i was chi nails and influencers kept posting everytime they lost nails

the eczema could be from chlorine in the pool maybe? or maybe even just the extreme heat drying your skin out? not 100% sure
she actually didn't do a bad job at all, the tips were done thin compared to 5* place. we're comparing it to Chi but realistically for the price difference i'd say the 1* is excellent AND SHE DIDNT EVEN HAVE PROPER TOOLS SOOo

£80 for one hand wouldn’t sit right with me🤯especially when they’re only going to last the most 4 weeks
😂 Well... If it were me I'd be going the cheap place. 200 is extortionate & theyre not THAT different! No way would I have given them the extra fiver tho! 😂 You paid for the nails & nail art. It's up to them to allocate the correct amount of time.. Its not your problem they didn't!

Omg she wiped uv gel polish off with her NAKED FINGER! this is how you develop really really bad allergies to nail products! Getting uncured gel polish on your skin enters your blood stream! The molecules are small enough to absorb straight away. She's going to end up with such extreme allergies she'll never be able to enter a nail salon again, let alone work in one.
Unpopular opinion. Nails ARE a waste of money.

i feel like traumatic was a strong word the 1* don’t look bad at all and it seemed like quite an average salon experience to me, obvs the hygiene could have been better, but not many people have £80 to spend on nails that really only look a little better than the cheaper ones. i thought the acetone and male tech was common practice. but i am only speaking from my experience so could be wrong lol

Hey I used to have eczema too and what triggered it was the things I was allergic to so u should check what ur allergic to. Also go to a private clinic and they will give u cream that actually works(when I used to go to the gp they would keep prescribing the same creams that never work)

Hey nothing to do with the nails but the eczema… have you had covid or the vaccine recently? my daughter had a terrible flare up when she caught covid and it won’t calm down I’m noticing a lot of people on a U.K. eczema group I’m part of having bad or regular flare ups since having the virus or the vaccine both seem equally common.
Try protecting your skin with layers of moisturiser twice a day: e.g. E45, sunscreen and vitamin e cream. Go one step beyond by taking zinc, vit d, fish oil. It will take a long time but it will get better if you’re consistent. Oh dear… I want to adopt you as my daughter 😂
