Wow some serious copium. See we had rockets going into space 60 years ago, and not only were they expected to clear the tower, and reach orbit they also went to the moon and carried humans. Something Starship will never do, certainly not in this decade if it's still in business by then.
It was not supposed to do a “soft water touchdown” as you put it. It was supposed to hit the water at terminal velocity and be destroyed on impact. The title may be a bit misleading. **edit- the booster was meant to do a soft water landing, maybe you confused the booster with the ship? Either way, it’s a sweet video.
@@pupboi8023No. It was meant to attempt an engine relight, then to do a controlled entry, then crash into the ocean. However, they'd lost attitude control, so the relight and controlled entry didn't happen. It was a highly successful TEST FLIGHT. Which is sadly a distinction that many legacy news agencies and others don't get.
that is true, i do recognize that, it was a tremendous achievement on their end and happy birthday to them also. however, from what i had heard, Starship was also supposed to attempt a soft water landing, which it unfortunately never did. that's why the title is the way it is, its just basing off of what i have heard.
It was never supposed to land, and also youre missing all of the enormous achievments, succees and broken records in this testflight. I dont understand people like you, if you hate something that much just ignore it stop trolling. All of the most importsnt things to test succeeded, also it succeeded in everything the last flight failed.
i don't hate SpaceX, i fucking love them, i respect their work and one day, i would love to hitch a ride on this bertha beast to mars. i was stating that it was a failed "landing" because; from what I'd heard, Starship was supposed to do a soft water landing after reentry as well (i could have misinterpreted it wrong). i could without a doubt be wrong, and i do recognize that, however i am simply going off of what i had heard through people like Matt Lowne talking about it.
Failed??? They were never going to survive!!!! Booster=landed on the ocean as expected, just didn’t started his engines on the last mile and hit the ocean too fast!!! Starship= alll ok until reentry, and because it wasn’t stable, the rotation exposed untiled areas and the heat was too much!!! Overall = 85% success!!!!!
I’m still kicking brother, just haven’t uploaded in a long time, been thinking about it considering I don’t have the stress of HSC exams anymore (I finished high and got a job). I’ll see what I can do, because I want to start editing videos, however don’t have good software for it…
So did the first several dozen Falcon 9s. Now they land routinely. They’ll figure it out
it did now fail, it was a Rapid Unscheduled Disassembly :D
Boys I believe the heat tiles are supposed to be facing the atmosphere to keeo the heat away from the nontiled side. 😅
Total success, SpaceX is the greatest space company in history. If this is a failure to you, then you are sleeping.

"Failed reentry"....R.O.T.F.L. It did exactly what everybody knew would happen.
Fail? Ya we figured it wouldn't make it in one piece to the ocean.
Failed Landing ? it was never meant to Land .its mission is to last as long as possible to to gather Data to research
I recognise, however it was also supposed to do a soft water touchdown. Otherwise known as landing. Hence the title 👍

No failure here, every second after launch was a FULL SUCCESS, This video is a headline grabbing lie.

More like a failed title. This flight was more successful than you think
long time no see
i miss you sm
