So nice to see you back in the studio, Jordan! It has been super interesting to see your families store and Billund, but this is where the magic happens. And the cloud mural was such a good call, it looks so good. 💯
Bricksie can’t believe your included in the time magazine article wow!! You’re going to be super famous very soon!! And being invited to a movie premiere 😮 your talent is taking off - so excited for you!!
Sorry to hear about the receipt stuff. Always so frustrating when Staff tell you one thing and it isn't actually the case and lands you in these sorts of situations. Hopefully the LEGO House sort you out! :)
My daughter had a Birthday that lasted 40 hours, because we traveled from New Zealand to Canada on her birthday and crossed the international dateline, so her Birthday started in Wellington, and ended 40 hours later in Calgary 🎂
Man I hear that sooo much on the “tolerance for mess” I also used to care annnnnnd having even just one kid, that goes right out the window. Which honestly is a bit refreshing to let go of.
Thanks for the great video! I’m gonna say it again but I’m really glad you brought this channel back as I really enjoy seeing these behind the scenes days. Sorry to hear about the receipts and about Joker 2 being not as good as imagined 😂 (also that joke about still not being able to pronounce Josee’s name because it has an accent mark was honestly hilarious)
Traveling back from Europe usually takes three days to resync to your home time zone. Plus you’re extra tired because you were on a business trip not vacation.
That really sucks that LEGO Land wouldn't refund the tax. It's their fault that you didn't have the proper receipts in the first place. Terrible customer service and it leaves a bad taste over the entire ordeal. Hopefully, the other email will have a more positive result for you. Thank you for the informative video. It's always a pleasure to listen to you talk. I'm so glad to see this channel being utilized in the way that you've chosen. Please say hello to Mrs. Bricksie, Benjamin, Millie, and of course, the fur babies.
Traveling back from Europe to east coast 🇺🇸, I always have jet lag. But when I traveled to and from Vietnam 🇻🇳 to east coast 🇺🇸, nada! Didn’t skip a beat! Glad so see you home and look forward to seeing what you got at the Lego store on October 1st.
Your a beast . Yes traveling diffrent hour time zone s ..and adjusting .at lest you relaxed .an just watched a movie once editting this vid .😊 Oh I don't have kids .but tottaly. Know how stuff end up all over a house .Josie sure would be flat out .cleaning cooking doing washing. Plus ..yay back at the studio. 😊
A small general tip for flying across time zones. Which at least works for me as a regular flyer from Europe to Asia and the Americas. - stay away from alcohol before m, during and after the trip. It screws up your sleep and sleep quality. - same with coffee. Caffeine last longer in your system. - avoid drinks with gas. To prevent bloating. For the rest try to sleep/ rest as much you can during flying. Everyone reacts differently, but this helps me. Ps in the group foto you were standing with Steinaufstein. He has an interesting mountain technique.
So wait, that was you I saw at the Joker yesterday? I remembered I was getting my photo taken next to the banner before the showing and we kept looking at each other. I was trying to figure out if it was really you there. Glad to know it was.
Glad you liked the idea. If you would like to go further into the concept I’d be happy to explore. Love living vicariously through your Lego experience! Thank you!
Hi Bricksie! Just wanted to let you know something cool I found out that I thought you'd like to know! You could (theoretically) meltdown unneeded Lego bricks (like Lego separators) and make 3-D printer filament out of them. Lego is made from Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene (or ABS) which is a common plastic compound for 3-D printer filaments. I'm definitely going to find a way to melt my separators down and get free 3-D printer filament from it!
I have a question about the MILS plates (I have never made any and don't have free space and a free table for a city but wondering), why do you need the bricks with holes for pins? Do you use them to connect to the other plates or...? If it's for connecting, do you connect to a plate on every side or in lines or something? Wouldn't it be somewhat challenging if every MILS plate is connected on every side?
You can use them to add connecting pins, and some do. He’s not doing that in most of his city because, like you said, it would be difficult to remove sections to work on them. He does have a few spots where he’s permanently joined a couple of baseplates together. The technic holes could also be used for running wires for the lighting kits, or electric lines if he goes to 9V track.
Hi Jordan! Can you let me know roughly how long it took to get your receipts stamped at the customs office before going through security? I am going to Billund on Saturday and want to ensure I have enough time at the airport to get my export invoice stamped :) Thank you so much for all of your content - I find your projects and ideas absolutely fascinating, and I love seeing your vlogs with your family :) Keep up the great work!
Be kind to yourself. You are burning the candle at both ends and then add on a stressful international business travel, your brain is just so tired. That sort of thing can make you have fixations on things like organization and cleaning. Its ok to slow down or ask for help. You're working like crazy. Anyone would feel overwhelmed.
@bricksie I know you want to get the amusement park done but I personally think you should start working on all of the mountain and everything get all of the mountain range done and everything so that when it comes December and time for you to start working on the Winter village you will have the area and platform to do that on, because it probably will take you that amount of time to get it all done
Would it be an idea to put Windows ariund your workspace and a door. That way you can make it warm in there without having to heat/cool the whole space at once. It will be a bit of an investment, but you will earn that back in a few years time
Bricksie, being in Alberta, did they make you take French in school? I can’t pronounce French stuff like the Joker 2 title either, so I was just curious as a Western Canadian if it’s common that people learn French or not being so far from Québec.
Did the Legoland people give you a reason why they wouldn't help you get refund on the VAT? As basically a tourist in Europe you're not supposed to be responsible for paying that on goods that you're exporting out of Europe.

You made me want to watch the Joker and give me the motivation to continue to put lights in my city! Thank you. I hope your led come soon by the way.

When getting back from these trips I just sleep. It’s not just time difference, you are also tired from super long intensive days.
So nice to see the lego city view as you dreamed it.

Jetlag always hit me hard going from Copenhagen to Vancouver, not so much coming home again😂

23:14 "Gonna bring the melamine here." 2 seconds later, slow pan to an entire home supply store's worth of melamine 😆

Welcome home epic family nicely packed lego pieces in case city looking awesome
Have an idea about Bricklink series 3 temple. You could do a rock overhang somewhere and tuck the temple into it. Maybe under the winter village!
Glad you liked the idea. If you would like to go further into the concept I’d be happy to explore. Love living vicariously through your Lego experience! Thank you!

The thing is that at 16, your coffee gets cold very fast.
Welcome home is my birthday on Fri 4th seeing joker 2 on premier day 👍☕️🍕

I forget you're in Canada so when you say you turn the heat up I get confused seeing that it's only 16 degrees
Lego gave you jet lag ? lol 😂
Folie a deu(-x). You said Folie a doe(-x)
Its like euhm without the m. Deuh

I took it in grade 4 and 5, then it became optional

You are supposed to pay a tax, of course. Refund is optional. And it is done at the airport.

The poinsettia looks really realistic but its an ugly plant (the real one)
Save some time...could've watched a couple trailers. You know, cliff notes! Then right back to work!
Firsttttttt
Yeah… Joker 2 sucked. Awful experience. Painful. Only positive about it is we won’t be seeing a third one.
Fiiiiiiist
