    I had a freak accident a few years ago, a tree fell on me while I was driving down the street. Unfortunately, I don't have full movement of both my hands and wrists, I am limited with gripping things with my hands. I have just come across kettlebells and your videos are a great help. I only have one kettlebell at the moment, but hope to purchase more, as well as a few heavy clubs. Thank you for the great videos, time to get back on track and lose this weight.

    When he uses a dumbbell he holds it horizontally not in the *goblet* position. Try one of these, it's better than a KB or dumbbell for goblet squats: ruclips.net/video/iLtQl-U5Gw4/видео.htmlsi=vzgyUfhQ87kTT6wH

    Based on what you said about counterbalancing , we can do double front squat with two different bells ? I'm doing it with a 16 and a 20 kg . I just make sure to have the same amount of work on both sides .

    Just getting back into fitness again, but want to use more whole-body exercises to start with rather than isolated resistance. These kettlebell exercises are great, so easy to string together or do as a tabata to push endurance/fat-burning.
    I really want an adjustable kettlebell, as building up a full set is soo damn expensive! I miss having a full rack of them at the gym, matched pairs to do farmers walks etc, but just getting by with what I have at home during the lockdown.

    I've had a heavy dumbbell for years. I've always hated using it and use it to anchor my coat stand instead. I'm much happier with the kettlebell. Easier to grip and hold and do more with. Still getting use to the clubbell.

      Try lighter weight, focus on trying to contract your scapula like you’re trying to crack a walnut between them. See if that helps

    For the BU Goblet Squat, I really have a hard time keeping my feet straight ahead. My left foots tends to want to flare out at the bottom of the squat. Any suggestions on the width of the feet and the depth of the squat?

    I tried the second version yesterday with 20kg, I struggled to keep my arms at 90 degrees, had to keep them at 45. Could this be due to weak biceps, rhomboids, abs... All of the above? I do have DOMS in my rhomboids and my lower back is feeling it...

    • @celconicuzn
      @celconicuzn 3 года назад +2

      Despite the size of the kettlebell it's actually a 16kg - he's using what are called soft-style or competition kettlebells. They are all the same size regardless of how much they weigh. When they build these they hollow out the inside and depending on the weight requirement fill them with more or less metal.

    Mark, do you have a video on double front squats? If not, can you make one? :) I can't find it on your channel. I think I've been making my arms too vertical and have my elbows too close together. Would be very helpful to see your dos and dont's for that exercise

    What’s the effect if you do the goblet squat with the horn up?

    • @MarkWildman
      @MarkWildman  4 года назад +1

      With the horn up, globe down... less lever. You just have to have better squat technique already. The globe up is meant to make your technique better

    • @peterabel1057

      I also grab it at horn up, bottom down. I have a feeling it's not harder on the forearms and shoulders that way, might be wrong though.

    What if I can't do the first version because of tension in my upper back and shoulders? I can't keep my elbows together, and it's actually my upper back and shoulders that stops me from squatting deeper.

    • @MarkWildman

      Like simulating a back squat? It certainly could be. As long as you can get into the proper position. Elbows straight up... body of the bell resting between the shoulder blades, extended thoracic spine... Otherwise it’s kind of a weird squat/good morning...

    Like your videos, good explanations. The title of the video however is misleading as these are 3 types of KB squats: only the first one is a goblet squat. Second is bottoms up squat, third is one-arm KB front squat. Cheers!
