Hello. It's been a while since I uploaded a Chopin’s etude, and.. this time, I've prepared Chopin’s Etude Op. 25 No.12 “Ocean”. I knew that some subscribers who used to be close with me had practiced this piece before. I intended to upload it earlier, but due to some delays, I'm just posting it now. I hope you enjoy listening. Christmas and the end of the year are approaching. Wishing everyone a joyful time with family~!
Then watch Grigory Sokolov (just google Grigory Sokolov Ocean Etude (prefferebly from Anson Yeung YT channel), its a pretty old recording but for most classical musicians the greatest one of this piece ever)
Seems like you like this, I suggest you listen to the Grigory Sokolov performance of this piece, I think it's the best recording I have seen of this piece
Dont get the wrong idea. Chopin never gave names to his etudes, so he never called op.25 no. 12 "ocean". Its just a later interpretation made by someone else. We have no idea what Chopin really wanted to picture with this piece...
@@0fpm531 Personally I prefer the more melodic interpretation of Pollini compared to Sololov who focuses more on speed and drama. No hate of course both are some of the best recordings out there
Before now, I'd never heard this etude. Now I'm going to listen to it a few more times, then go sit in a corner and cry with my Rachmaninoff Prelude in G Minor. Amazing performance!
Your piano playing is most pleasing to the ears... you glide effortlessly across the keys with the grace of a swan... Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year...!
HERMOSOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!! Cada notificación tuya me alegra el día. Vaya que mi día mejoró bastante al escuchar tan bella interpretación, eres mi ejemplo a seguir Kassia, saludos desde Sinaloa, México.
i love this piece! this is my favourite étude from the op. 25 set. phenomenal performance as always, i've always wanted to hear you perform this piece.
Welcome back Kassia, this song gives me goosebumps. You're amazing, wonderful playing, and I really like it. I really felt the wave of the ocean when I heard this song and it is one of my favorites Chopin's Etudes No. 25.
Oh, this is one of my favorite Chopin songs! Thank you for your wonderful performance today!! Can you also play Etude op.10 no.1? It's a song I'm practicing these days, and I want to hear what Kassia's interpretation is like!
Always a joy to see your posts Kassia! You remind me that I've ben meaning to learn more of the Chopin etudes, hopefully with the new year coming I'll get around to it. Have a great end to the year and an amazing new year!
I waited for this time!! I love Chopin's Etudes. I especially love Op.25 No.10 and Op.25 No.12 I heard this music at other pianist RUclipsrs But! They can't win a Kassia!
A breathtaking and mesmerizing performance by my favorite youtuber of a piece by my favorite composer. Thank you for the inspiration, you truly made my day better❤
Great job, Kassia! This one looks very difficult 😂 What a beautiful performance. I hope you have a great holiday with your loved ones. If I don’t see you again before the end of the year, Merry Christmas and happy new year!
Wow ❤ Please bring us Fantaisie polonaise op 61. I learned the Aeolian Harp from your video and can now play it well! I couldn't thank you enough! Now my next one is Fantasie polonaise 😅

🌹🎄 Thank you, dear! 🎄🌹
Thanks, this looks like a lot of fun to play
Hi Kassia, it's a beautiful performance, will you play Strauss Blue Danube and Die Flederrmaus in future on your channel ?
May everyone have a wonderful new year (and a wonderful December) :D
Crazy, fast and clean! Ironically I find this more tiring than Wilde Jagd, for the wrong reasons...
Thank you so much for your words Flaming!!:) Merry Christmas and happy new year in advance!💕
The fastest performance of this etude I've seen so far, while keeping all the notes ctystal clear. Very impressive maestro!

It's amazing how chopin was able to write such a beautiful etude and how you can realy feel the ocean when you hear it

@@Brenus0912I didnt know that so thanks fot the information but I ment that for my opinion this etude sounds like the ocean.
@@gcat2777 I can definitely see why it picked up the name, though; it sounds like it to me as well.
It is just arpeggios, it's simple really.
Chopin never wanted you to "feel the ocean", as Chopin disliked programmatic music
The melody hidden in this one is so beautiful!
*🎻 There's a sense of grandeur and majesty in classical music that leaves me in awe of the human capacity for creativity.*
Those hands are flying! 😮 Great performance 🤩
Thank you for your words:)💕
@@Kassiapiano Amazing! Just wondering, have you heard of PASK (Pianists for Alternatively Sized Keyboards)?
Chopin + Kassia = Perfection
kassia”s piano teacher: now you put your 768th finger right there.
This one hit home for me. I remember my mother playing this when I was a child. Thank you.
This is the best recording of this etude that I've heard since Pollini and this is at the very least on par with it. Truly magnificent well done!
what about grigory sokolov xd?
@@0fpm531 Personally I prefer the more melodic interpretation of Pollini compared to Sololov who focuses more on speed and drama. No hate of course both are some of the best recordings out there
