How many of you are still working on your Ollie? We hope Chloe's journey helps you learn!
Chloe's journey is an inspiration. Great to see a 56 minute video and her working on it. Shows that it takes consistent work and even at the end it is not perfect. Great video, keep them coming.
Still working on my ollie and have it down on the carpet, now need to work on the street. Will spend an hour today working on it, I do the exact same thing she does when I get to the street. I just jump. hahaha The fear is that if I put the tail down the board is going to shoot out from under me and I'll body. Happens so many times when trying to manual or just stop with the back foot.
Keep up the great work Chloe!!😁🌊🤙🌊🎨
I got my first ollie after a long time the other day and posted it on YT and TikTok
I just got a skateboard yesterday and I'm goin to be watching all ur skateboarding made simple stuff to learn. I already know how to cruise cause I've had a penny board for a long time but I wanna learn to ollie.I'm really close! Hoping to land it this week, perfect timing video

@@maybejaydee Awesome!! Congrats!
As an adult female who is trying to learn skateboarding, I appreciate you for uploading 55 min video of Chloe practicing. It is very encouraging to see her having the same struggles as I am. More videos of Chloe please.
You got this ! We’re all struggling until we get it right !
Everyone struggles at first but like arron says spend much time as you can just riding and getting comfortable but remember the reason we all skate its fun lol
Same here!!!! I am 32 and i want to learn skateboarding, i want to prive my self that is not too late!! We need a group of adult women encouraging to ñearn new things. This video was awesome
Keep doing it. Trust me the ollie is the most satisfying move when you learn. I did it on flat ground for months just having a blast
Same! I'm a 31 year woman on day 3 of learning. This is a very encouraging video!
(Chloe falls) Chloe: "I need a raise..." lol that intro was awesome.
😁✌
@@braillearmyplus1497 annnd Aarons response was even better. Lol.
We love Chloe
I thought someone was gonna whisper "Bodied". :P
Thought she said I need a rave💃
The women of Braille are learning to skate! It’s awesome! ✨
Yes that's true
❤❤❤
They been learning for years and this is an Ollie video
Yeah it's really awesome ✌
It is awesome..but also J.D. your awesome keep pushing 💪
Chloe: "I get nervous with cameras on me"
Aaron: "There's no cameras on you".
Me: *Watching her through youtube*
I couldnt stop watching the dog playing fetch with itself on the ramp behind them!
🐶👀
It was kind of annoying because the ball kept rolling into her while she's trying to practice.
@@3DJapan a dog playing is always the opposite of anoying
I came here searching for this comment. Also, anyone knows the name of the Braille dog?
Straight from the clinic back to the sesh! Lets go Chole! 🔥🔥🔥🔥
hi ricky!
ur comment was commend 35 seconds ago ur the best

glad your okay Ricky ❤❤❤
definitely need Aaron's wife on the channel learning how to skate so we can have Chloe vs Aaron's wife game of skate anything counts
👀
That sounds like divorce the easiest way tutorial lmao
I’d be down to see that! Heck I’d want to be a part of it!!
I admire the effort that she puts, she literally tried to ollie like 500 times on this video! Keep it up Chloe I would love to see you improving!
🙌❤❤❤
Yea, respect, she went for it
I'd love to her improving as well!
Tenacity
I know her legs were on fire 😂
Take a drink every time Aaron says "yep" "you got it" or "100%" 😂😭. We love positive affirmations.
🙌😁
His name is Aaron :)
@@do00p 💯
I don’t really know
Guess she might have had an easier time learning some of the tricks if Aaron wouldn’t have commented on everything she did.
Sometimes it helps to have a little room to just try something without any expectations and further explanations. At least in my experience. Maybe it seems more Apparent in the Video than it actually was while she was learning. Still loved the Video though.
@@maried.9913 Yeah, I'm the same way. There were a ton of cuts, maybe they did edit it that way.
The feeling when you can finally just oliie up any curb or any sewer lid while cruising around is amazing! Just gotta keep remembering to not get too frustrated with yourself, which is always tough!
🙌🙌🙌
I feel this 100%. I’m so close to this I can almost taste it, I’ve been bullshitting around learning tricks since I was 12 and now at 24 I can Ollie over a stick. Just got comfortable with rolling ollies this weekend, greatest feeling!!!
Manhole!
Yes bro, I can ollie up any curb, over sewer lids, and down 2 stairs without even really trying at this point, it's so satisfying. I have like 3 flip tricks but the ollie is def in the running for most pure fun in a trick
Faxx I used to get really mad I've stomped at least 3 of my old board
Chloe I'm a 37 year old female learning too. You're inspiring me. Keep it up! Thank you for sharing your story and progress with us! I was cheering for you, great job on the ollie.
You are awesome! Keep it up :)
I am in my 50’s and wanting to learn
awesome! Keep it up, and give us a little update on how it's going over here in chat. (i've not skated in 14/15 years and it's great weather this weekend so i'm thinking of going to the park for the first time since FOREVER)
@@snapped1010 look up Jason parks and his wife Nana. They skated with a 62 year old woman named Jackie and all she does is push around and roll around the ramps. It's never to late. I'm 37 and have had a knee surgery, but it's so fun. Give it a shot.
@@BlackMoridin It was the same for me. I use to skate when I was 18-20 but things got in the way. I'm so happy I started again. I just push around and love it.
I like how Aron is so humble while teaching anyone and never gets inpatient
Same!! He’s so supportive! 🎉
lol, i like how the dog was trying to sabotage her tricks all the time xD
Yeah 😂😂
Sometimes a dog is a snake :D
Blue being such a shady sketchbomb bowling his ball down the ramp at the worst moments 😂😂
❤😁
The dog? Ollie..
I’m so ready for more Chloe videos. My wife is getting interested thanks to her. Let’s go women of Braille. 🤙👍👍✊
🙌🙌
I just want to start off by saying Chloe is doing a great job! With that said, it is encouraging for a beginner like me (who is still practicing stepping on the board) to watch her struggle. I think it's hard to watch professionals perform these tricks easily and wrap my head around how many hours of practice it actually takes to master.
I love how Aaron is the type a friend that will call you out for telling yourself "I can't" only the best kind of people hound us to land our "first try every try Chloe" tricks that we definitely know how to do but have low confidence
It's been 1 week just landed my first ollie and have mastered the back side 180 pop shuvit... I'm so proud of myself
The BEST advice I received learning beginner tricks like Ollie, kick flip, heel, etc. was to support yourself up by placing your hands on top of a washer & dryer while you trick (or substitute with a couple of bar stools or something similar to either side of your body). This will keep your body up while learning the motion with your legs thereby taking all fear away from falling which is the biggest hurdle. You can then move to carpet/grass/crack in sidewalk with no support, then finally to a flat surface. Once you do the trick, you have to repeat it as fast as you can and as many times to drill in that muscle memory. This is the crucial part of the process, because like Aaron says, it’s all muscle memory. The board becomes an extension of your body & ollies will come 2nd nature when you’re not even thinking about it. Hope that helps, enjoy!
here to say the same thing
It’s crazy bc i Ollie’d in a elevator and it was so clean
I wear a helmet😀
я не боюсь падать и прыгать! поддержка тоже не нужна! надо записывать себя на видео или что бы кто ни будь тебя записывал. Смотря на свои ошибки начинается прогресс!!! ) Удачи брат!
i'm a 32 yold female learning to skate, i learned for first 3 days apparently with very wobbly board and i had no clue. it was custom built, i thought it's already perfect, so i wondered why i can't turn my front foot, until one skater helped me and tighten up my screws!!
now it's so stable and easy!!
always remember - board shouldn't be wobbly. i had no clue.
also, these videos are great for beginners like me. super nice.
It's pretty cool that people are teaching each other how to ollie and putting in online. It's way better than the "falling over and over in the garage after reading a description of an ollie in a skate mag" method.
Fully respect your teaching style - us noobs need tutoring and patience and as frustrating as it is for us, I can see that for a pro or anyone with experience this could be agonising, but you support, encourage and challenge just enough for her to keep going - awesome work.
I pray everyone seeing this is successful and safe!❤️😁
I make some bad videos 😂😂🛹
Thanks You Too :))
❤
Thanks you too :)
...The dog trying to sabotage her with that tennis ball was hilarious >.
I'm 45 and just learning to skate in the past month. Ready to slowly start learning the ollie. This video convinced me to get some hip pads first :)
I like how patient and encouraging Aaron is in these instructional videos
I appreciate seeing a video of a beginner trying and trying again to learn a trick. A lot of videos just skip straight to when people learn it.
D'aww I'm a 28 year old female learning to skate it makes my heart happy to see another lady where I'm at 🙏 Chloe is awesome you guys should totally do more videos with her!
I’m a 30 year old dad teaching my 6 year old daughter to skate and your videos help with that a lot . Thanks guys. 🤟
Hi Braille! I’m really really loving seeing these videos with Chloe because I am just learning to skateboard - literally have been five times. It’s more encouraging to see someone else who is more of a beginner with struggling and succeeding and the tips you give her to get better. I also find myself cheering at the TV for her to get the tricks! Thanks for showing more of a beginner because watching all you professionals makes it look too easy and then it’s frustrating because I don’t look like you guys. Chloe rocks and she is doing such a great job! Keep it up Chloe!!!!!
YES! More like this please!
It is reassuring for all of us starting to see that things in most of the other videos don't come so easy! The body's instinct for self-preservation is difficult to overcome and skateboarding is all about telling that instinct, "shut up and trust me!"... then breaking that trust (hopefully nothing more), getting up, brushing yourself off, and trying again -- against instinct that has now been justified.
I am a NEW learner! Love these videos.....getting back into boarding after about 30 years!
Awesome, Carole Anne! I got back into it again at 50!
I honestly want to start skateboarding but my social anxiety doesn’t allow that. I feel like someone is going to make fun of me for falling or not knowing how to skate. I keep watching your videos I hope I can overcome this
🛹🛹🛹
Just go for it! Skating is so much fun and it can help you cope with your anxiety, I know a lot of people like that. Don't worry about other people, not knowing how to skate or falling is just a part of being a beginner and it's totally okay even you've been skating for a long time, it's not about skill it's about having fun! It's really easy to make friends and don't be afraid of other skaters, they'll be skating with you and help you all the time, trust me, been trough that. There's really nothing to worry about :3
@@bemutatjacsivot thank you! Is there a recommendation of places where I should get skateboard equipment or tips on how to not care about people judging you
@@braillearmyplus1497 i like how braille army plus makes a speech on some comments and on others they write 3 emojis

Persistence, commitment, smiling the whole time, improving fast, impressive cute ollies but the best: "don't give up, if you fall, get back up, do it again" True wisdom in those words.
When this video came out, I was so impressed by the hula hoop that I just HAD to learn it. I'm still working on it but I'm almost there!!!
SAMEEEE
I'm in my late 30's learning how to skate, these videos really motivate me to keep pushing. Thank you Braille guys for your hard work!
This makes me, a 30 year old female, want to try to learn how to skateboard.
Don't let your age get to you doing what you want to do. It doesn't matter if you're 10 or 50 you can skate if you really try. You got this!
You're still hitting your peak
I hope you went out and got a skateboard! I used to skate when I was 17. My nine year old wanted a board for Christmas so 51 year old mom went to the skate shop and bought two skateboards for Christmas! I am glad to be skating again!
@@arcticablue I did but I ride pretty awkwardly. Where I live the snow isn't even gone yet so I haven't been on it this year yet.
@@toxickittn7558 How awesome! I hope the snow melts soon so you can go out and have some fun!
@27:16 "She'll be doing the 5-stair in no time." -- I love the enthusiastic support!!
Chloe needs to just ride around and get more comfortable on the board. That will help a lot with learning tricks and landing them
Thanks!
@@braillearmyplus1497 agree with Jake!
didn't Aaron say the exact thing on 40:20?
Yes I agree 💯
Its so cool to see how they slowly get better and better over time
Thank you!
I just bought my first ever skateboard and i am learning from your videos step by step
You are such an inspiration
Awesome! You can also download our braille app. Braille community is great at helping with tips :)
I remember learning to ollie while moving. Took a while to get comfortable with the feel and muscle memory. Great job Chloe. Your doing wonderful. I like the idea of more girls getting into skating. The ones that get past the bumps and bruises of learning end up shredding. Practice riding around and your tricks for an hour a day. You will be skating ramps and cruising around in no time. One Hour A Day and your Saturday lesson will come easy. Also Wear Pads! I Suggest a Shin Guard also. You almost get a shinner so many times in this video. That as you know Hurt and will Shred your legs.
Thank you!
My best tip to learning moving is just starting by warming up stationary and then u start slowly increasing your speed like literally start going 0.1 mph and raise it until you eventually get over the mental block by climbing a stair rather than trying to bash your head into it
Braille helps people skate so well im so grateful 🙏🔥👍
Thank you!🙌
No, thank you 🙏 ❤
Huh?
Like a bot
what really improvedmy ollie is actually leaning back before the ollie, then while olieing jump towards your riding direction, preferably further than your landing posture and only then go straight over your board. Especially when ollieing onto things, high things in particular, this is really helpful. It's like, lean back and then use that little bit of wiggle room you create to jump further forward, often to much empasisis is put on jumping up, very important of course, but jumping forward as well. You probably wanna get comfortable with that before the broomstick. This technique is as well absolutely vital for learning a kickflip, if you don't jump towards your riding direction, you're not landing. Less sliding of the foot is required, if you jump sideways as well, your board tends to stick much better and you get that vertical lift-off kinda ollie.
I mean leaning back in the sense of, towards the tail, not literally leaning back, of course. And jumping forward I mean, towards your nose
That hip hitting the concrete! Owwwieee I love watching Chloe learn to skate and i beleave that she will become a skate goddess! So cute that the dog keep rolling his tennis ball down and wanting attention!
🐶✌
I’m a beginner and I’m only 18 but it’s really nice to see you can do anything if u set ur mind to it just takes time
This was so fun to watch, you got it Chloe!! I'm an adult woman as well and have been doing ollies holding on to the fence and just tried (and got!) my first ollie not holding anything last week. Watching this as hype and encouragement to go out today and try to get a moving ollie myself today! I also haven't tried the shove it, so I think I'll throw that in as well!
I was still working on my Ollie (obviously still am gonna practice everyday), but after watching this I Ollied my first curb! It was really small, but I still got up the curb. Thanks Chloe, and Braille.
Learned to popcorn watching this at least. I saw that Chloe could do it and knew I could too. So thank you Chloe ❣️ getting pretty close to an Ollie. Definitely thinking about pop shove it. Totally have kick turns down bc I learned them this summer. I hope Chloe like to ride all by herself by now. It’s so freeing and fun. Gooooo Chloe and thank you Braille team for being here and putting in the work to help others learn. Thank you 🙏💕✨
This was such a great and real beginner video. I watched the whole thing. I can’t wait to be in Chloe’s shoes. Confident and keep trying. She’s outta breath but she still kept going.
So proud of Chloe! Cheers from Italy guys! Keep it rolling!

Yo! i just want to say vids like that help me alot. i started having alot more stable ollies because of the minor pro-tips like ball of your feet on the back of the board etc etc. im getting back to skateboarding after 10 years and only realize tips like that help make your fundamentals strong and consistent!!
