Glad everyone came out of that one okay. Those blind crests at Mid-Ohio sure can create some excitement. That said, we love racing at Mid-Ohio. Hard to believe it's been more than 20 years since we were last there at the Runoffs.
Ouch! Not much you could do to avoid that initial contact over that blind crest, and then you were just a sitting duck. I hate that feeling of helplessness. So glad for the advancements in safety equipment that enable us to walk away from shunts like that.
Well first of all, sorry that happened. That had to have been scary. Hope hope that everyone realizes this is being in the wrong place at the wrong time and nothing more. You had nowhere to go. You were there just as the car stopped sprining so there would have not been any time for the corner worker to wave the flag that is for sure. This is unfortunate for everyone that was involved, but exactly why safety gear is so important. That is how quick it can happen.
So sorry for all involved. It's all replaceable, but still sucks a**. I did not see any flags thrown, but the incident appears to have just occurred. :(
@@therealturbofanisme -- Thanks for the reply -- Good question - I don’t know if the sanctioning body could have done anything & I’m not suggesting this could have been prevented -- we all know every time you strap in, anything is subject to happen, it doesn’t matter if at the pro or amateur level.. .. just an observation on my part, I have no scientific data & not throwing poo-poo on anyone -- there are plenty of “other” places to race, I’m free to make the choice of who and where I run - race safe & go to the front //
@@snakeb1t sure, I'm not saying you have to run with NASA. But you said "this is why I don't run with NASA anymore" which makes no sense to me. If you said "this is why I don't race anymore" then that makes sense, but like you said, no matter the org, stuff like this can happen.

Damnit! Glad everyone is OK and hope the cars have a smooth recovery.

That's a bad day at the races. Glad you are OK!
Hope everyone’s okay!
not much you could'a done. Tough spot
Unfortunately, anybody that has been on the track with him could have seen this coming. Glad everyone came out 'ok'.
Which driver are you talking about?
@@andrewclos2857 The driver who caused the accident.
OUCH. I hope all bodies were OK. Looks like the auto-bodies didn't fare too well though.
I'm sorry dude!

Ah fuck
This is why I don't run with NASA anymore --
What would NASA have *possibly* done to avoid this happening?
