Used to make these to launch potatoes back in the day. We used hairspray and a grill igniter instead of compressed air though. It was the late 80's and hairspray was quite prevalent in those big hair days. Now we have a more practical use for them.

I hear people say they launched potatoes all the time so i just wanted to know what is the purpose of launching a potato? What purpose does it serve. I can see people launcer projectiles for antenna purposes but why are people so into launching potatoes. What purpose does it serve?

Iv had the APTA for a couple of years now and love it. I now have a Craftsman battery powered air compressor that has a digital screen and you just preset desired PSI up to 160 PSI and it will automatically shut off when it gets there. Super compact and convenient. I would like to know if you guys are ever going to make a bigger one. Definitely looking for something that can send a line 3 x what the APTA can.

@@patmcfarland9880 with 160 PSI it will go around 160 feet straight up. It matches the psi pretty much??? 100 psi 100 feet .
Straight up. so sometimes you get a better with an arch just depends on the situation.

When I shoot mine into the tree the weight will not come down because it gets caught in the tree limbs. Sometimes it goes perfectly over a tree branch but the weight still will not come down.

Seriously neat looking but you can build this for under $60 so really your price is way over the top.

I made one from pvc pipe and 70 psi is way more than needed to send a 16 oz throw ball over 100 feet. Not sure why you would need 150 psi??
