I love that axe. The best gloves I have found for splitting wood are the Madsens cotton gloves, they are a smooth padded one sizes fits all. Sort of like the White Ox gloves, except they actually are big enough for a hand to go inside.
I buy the fiskars for the warranty as well, working with the boys from the Ranch they tend to overstrike a lot. So far we have not broken one yet, and honestly they split very well in my opinion. I love mine, the maul is nice as well. David I would love to go cut wood with you, watching you find all this nice dry firewood makes my day! Stay safe out there!
Your a machine dude! I’m pretty good with an axe but I wouldn’t go up against you splitting. I have one Fiskars not sure what model but I have been thinking about picking up the X27. We usually use the axes my son Evan has made putting new handles in some old Plumb heads but it would be nice to have one I can beat the crap out of and not worry about it🤣 👍🏻👍🏻
that's funny because I saw Gordy on Westcoast Saws use Gatorade tops on his gas can just like that one. I think the A&W tops look a bit more convenient though.
thx for sharing that about what bottle you used i tried an ice tea bottle but didn't work but i did get a spray bottle top to work just need one for my chain oil now, clicked on your video and first thing you shared, was gonna message you and ask but now i don't need to ha ha, cheers!!
When you go and adjust the carb on THAT saw then you can do a vid on your adjusting of it. Folks just can’t seem to get enough of it, we ALL like different perspectives and YOURS COUNTS!
I’ve had an X27 for about 4 years. I agree, for the money, not sure you can get a better axe. Oh yeah, huff and puff once in a while. You making me look bad!
Yep those split the wood. I use the one you have to bust up rounds and then the smaller one to bust the rest down. I can swing that little thing all day lol. I like wood handles but for the price you just can’t beat a fiskars. I never could stand a fiberglass handled axe, to much vibration.
If you get it stuck in wood don't beat it down through the piece. If you hit the head to much that plastic strap snaps and it's useless. They tell you not to hit the head so it's definitely my fault and was a killer axe when I had it. Got my eye on the splitting maul. That looks beastly!
There a fantastic axe my electric splitter is almost redundant. anything the x27 can't handle the fiskars maul does. There's not much you won't tackle with the pair .
The fiskars are nice man I've been using em for I can't remember how many years now but they're sweet! And lifetime warranty. My kids probably broke 5 of em over the years but I've always got it replaced 👍👍👍
@@aliviavon864 I done it for my job… I made good money selling firewood full time but now I went back to carpentry and just kept a few regular customers that I still cut for thanks for watching we wish you good health and happiness
I’ve been using that same axe for over 10 years.. best axe I’ve ever used. I still use the same one I bought over 10 years ago. They don’t break.
It’s a great axe no doubt
I love my Fiskars. They are beastly and you showed nicely here how beastly they are. Great job !!
Awesome video
Thanks for taking the time to share it
🤙🏻🤙🏻💵💵🇺🇸🇺🇸🥩🥩
I've had the fiskars 8lb splitting maul for 3 years now absolutely love it. Got it on clearance for $30

Love the splitting technique - LINE THEM UP back to back as 1/2s & 1/4 them in one line 💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼👍🏼
David, Hats off to you! Even when i was young, you have me beat in cardio! Of course I smoked!😂 Good job!🪵💪🇺🇸
Good splitting maul the x-27. I've had one for quite a while. Good video as always. God bless.
Fiskars is the bomb! Great for splitting wood.
Love my x27. Also swear by the huski no spill gas and oil container.

Nice job with the splitting. The Fiskars worked great. I need to get one of those.
Thank you yes they are good axes
Can’t wait to see the video on how you make you A&W spouts for your combo gas oil can looks like it works slick 👌
excellent choice, i have two X27.
I brought the x27 last year, superb axe, splitting lots of green and hard gum tree wood. Price in NZ approx $200
Thats expensive. 56€ nie in germany.
About $150 in Oz
I have the x25 and the x27 the hatchet and the splitting maul and I like them all

The new trucks with a camera for backing up aren't all bad . 😁
that is awesome I used to have one lasted years until my cousin accidentally backed over it wood hauling
Beast mode!
I've been thinking about buying a fiskars also my 8 lb Mall gets to my back too much.
I have a fiskars, if you want more power, less weight, can't beat it!!
I like to wear tall size shirts in the Winter. They keep you more covered from the cold when you have to bend over.
Some people wrap the Fiskars handle with hockey tape I think as much as you use it that it wouldn’t hold up for very. Long....
that's funny because I saw Gordy on Westcoast Saws use Gatorade tops on his gas can just like that one. I think the A&W tops look a bit more convenient though.
I have both Gatorade and A&W but I like the Gatorade ones better I think
@@mountainlifewithdavidkelsie that's interesting. What is more appealing to you about the Gatorade tops as far as their usefulness?
How do you get the bottle to fit without leaking

Good deal Jason glad it helped you out! You ready for trapping season brother!?

I’ve got both and love them.
which kind of wood is that? seems quite easy to split.
also nice chainsaw. is it ported?

I admire your strength and stamina

The axe splits good to me
Bravo ragazzo bel esempio
Where do you get a 2 in 1 gas can? Like what you have in the video.

Any vibration? Try splitting spruce
Great video!! I like my Fiskars!! New subscriber!! Stay Hydrated and Have a Safe Day
I need to get one i just look at it
They are awesome tools and great warranty
I’m only 5’5”. You think I could swing a 36” axe?
This is what everyone does in quarantine
