I have so much love an admiration for Nonna Pia and the relationship she has with Antonio. I lost both my grandparents going on 10 years and there isn't a day that goes by where I don't think of them. I wish I would have thought to make little home videos even if I never posted them just to have with me whenever I feel like hearing their voices. What you're doing here will bring you so much comfort when the time inevitably comes because you spent quality time with her while she did what she loves. So Nonna sure does bring the sentimental memories of my mother’s mother, who was Italian. She was born here but my great-grandma immigrated from Italy. I can’t believe I’m watching the same exact cooking here. It’s so cool. Also kudos to the idea of short videos because it makes it hard to skip the video for later but might never get to it. Cibo, amore e familia. Mangiamo!

In Ciociaria (la provincia con capoluogo Frosinone, vicino Roma) in occasione delle feste comandate , le "nonne" preparano piatti speciali . Ma sempre accompagnati con il pane (ciociaro) cotto nel forno. Accanto alla casa , di solito vicino al pollaio , c'è il forno in muratura dove vengono cotti i cibi . Il pane è a forma di "pagnotta" o "filone" e dura due-tre giorni. Se si secca , viene usato per fare la "bruschetta" oppure la "panzanella" . Se poi avanza ancora , lo si sbriciola e si dà alle galline
