  • In this video I go over the trimming and fit of the new JConcepts Creep body to the SCX24 Deadbolt chassis and find out something might cause some issues with my plans! It turns out that the Creep body isn't really designed around the Deadbolt platform! Very interesting!
I still need to figure out a paint scheme for the body and have some ideas of what I'm going to do, so come back to Cactus Crawlers for more of the SCX24 with the new JConcepts Mini Creep body!

Well luckily all you have to do is line up the body posts and pop different holes that match the Deadbolt chassis... easy peasy

It sucks that jconcepts bodies dont line up with the deadbolt chassis stock. I hate to mark the holes my self its always a little off. I dont want to get a c10 just for a new body to line up.

Yeah, I hear you! I have had to do that to make a body work too. I just go for it and hope it looks good in the end! 😁 Thanks for watching Scaintus!

Hey is the plastic as thick as the bodies of the stock scx24's ? Because I bought a 1946 dodge power wagon body and it is thin plastic but it works . I just wish it was thicker . I'm digging the Creeper the more I look at it . I'm getting ready for another complete build . And was deciding on what body . And what color . I bought a lot of red aluminum parts for the build . I'm kinda thinking in the Grey spectrum. To keep it creepy 😳 😆

That sounds awesome, red and grey go together pretty good! The body doesn't seem to be the same as the 1/10 ones, but they seem to hold up pretty well in a roll over! I liked the creep for sure, but the Betty body is pretty good one too. One thing I found is that it's pretty hard to make the first cuts when you want to trim it all up, but be brave and just do it! I think they came out looking pretty good! Thanks for the awesome comment!

@@CactusCrawlersRC I don't cut , I'm a grinder with abrasive dermal bits . And then less aggressive when close to the final destination. Turns out great edges . Then small sharp file to get the leftover stuff. Scissors are for decals lol 😆

@@think2cre81 Haha, I have seen how some folks use a blade to score and break, but I never had much luck with it! I would guess that the Dremel method would be messy!

@@CactusCrawlersRC it is very messy . And my wife doesn't seem to mind sweeping up my messes . I think she is happy because I have something to keep me busy and the grandkids love to get involved with me at the kitchen table . And modify these little crawlers. The grandkids make it so much more fun . They know all the names of the crawlers and the parts . And the 4 year old is always asking me to put something TRICK on his deadbolt lol 😆 .. cracks me up .
