- Thanks for watching!! This is Part 2 of the Rock Pirates RC Build series, focused on how I painted the body. I had a good bit of video and it was getting a little long in the tooth, so I'm putting together a THIRD installment in this Build series to detail some of the more technical features, like the electronics, mounts, and accessories.
The paint job came out AMAZING! Thanks to @ChinaExpatsRC for the great video on painting and weathering an RC hard body with the hairspray method. The results came out better than expected!! Since I didn't capture every step along the way, take a few moments to check out the video that inspired me to weather the paint myself...

Glad you enjoyed it! Like I mentioned, I wish I had captured the actual process of weathering it as I did it, but I think my "recap" got the idea across clearly. :)

YES it is. I get so excited when a new part comes in or when I'm ready to paint something, and then I just get in to it, and I don't have multiple GoPro's set up at all times ready to go. LOL I think this video got the point across. :)

Thanks!! Element made a really solid platform with the Enduro series. The grille is actually attached with a metal bracket that comes with the grille kit. There are mounting holes on the underside of the hood. It's nice, because you can always remove it if you want to change the look of the grille or if you wanted.

Many thanks! It was well worth the time and effort. I was so tempted to just paint it solid blue, but I already have a few "clean" crawlers. The Mojave II body is pretty inexpensive, so I can always buy a second one for more variety. :)
