I wish they make this alien movie with a cast of competent crew mates. It’s even scarier when a squad does everything right, makes no mistakes, uses every clever strategy in the book and still loses.

I couldn’t agree more. All the stupid mistakes these crews make makes it hard for one to identify and sympathize with them. That’s failing a fundemental of writing horror which is creating characters that audience members can see themselves in rather having characters act stupidly just to serve the story. The only achievement that this movie seems to be aiming for is the most incompetent crew in the franchise. Currently, that’s held by the crew of the Prometheus.

A space biologist who takes off his helmet straight after landing on a foreign planet and goes to touch a plant that looks like a snake. A space geologist with a futuristic levitating mapping laser ball that maps the whole thing for him gets lost there.. that movie was probably made by psychoanalytics to be able to tell low iq from normal. "Did you like the prometheus movie? I see ok." Scribble scribble

Look at Alien and foremost Aliens that have latest generations and still holds up and finding new fans still yet to this day and its all about how good the story was and the casting , making it "credibility " grownups works as Engineers , Astronauts, physics etc etc because it take years to get there , just as in real life ...not" hey Im a teen fresh out of school or yet by age still in 🤦🏻" and putting them in roles bealiveing the audience will have thesame feeling towards a movie like the original ones , or any other movie that used to be casted after a plausible age to the role . New gens will find the franchise and others movies obviously because of the movie itself, but Hollywood of today has totally forgot how to create something worthy that will live on and attract everyone, but quickfixes, and teen actors instead of real actors to save a buck a make yet another movie no one will remember after a year . The old movies still grows on people because of a reason, regardless of what " gen " but Hollywood has forgot how to create something that will last with passion behind it and actors that will be remembered too . I’ve read almost all of the alien books. A lot of them are junk food that’s just fun to read. Some of them are promethius level good. I’m fine with a junk food alien movie that’s more horror based. There will always be more this franchise isnt going anywhere.

@@shoulderpyro You'd actually be surprised to find you're chances of survival on the Predator homeworld aren't too bad. The Yautja are essentially alien big-game hunters and keep this business off their hometurf. If a random person suddenly showed up in one of their cities and didn't pose a threat to anyone they wouldn't actually do anything to them besides mild interrogation. In fact in the comics there was a lady who was raised as a warrior on their planet.

for eggs which creates the facehuggers.Then the whole spacestation gets infected and all the humans
dies,and leaves a big xenomorph hive behind.
When contact is lost with the other spacestations.A spaceship is sendt to investigate.
Then a battle breaks out,and only one off the investigators manage to escape.
Or did she? In the end we see that she also is infected and she sets the escapepod to self construct,but
before that happens,the escape pod lands on a unknown planet with small humanlike beings,but with blue skin.
And that makes a cliffhanger for a follow-up movie ?

These look like kids she didn't plus the rest of the crew were believable adult cosmic haulers. These are teen astronauts no logic the director is trying to sell it to younger audience as well but will end up getting neither old nor young

What happened to the Prometheus story?
My idea for a third alien covenant/prometheus movie is as follows:
The engineers are the main characters in the movie and comes to the planet that was in the Prometheus movie.
There they find Weyland inside the crashed spaceship. They have a blue elixir(which both heals and gives eternal life) which they empty all over him and bring him to life.
But while doing this the Deacon from the Prometheus movie sneaks into their spaceship and hide it self in one of the ventilation chambers.
In the next part they arrive at the planet from alien covenant and find the other robot(Walter) who is david's twin.The engineers use the blue elixir and repairs him.
Once awaken the engineers and Weyland get to know all the horrible things that David has done, and weyland says "we have to stop David" .
They set course for origae. When they arrive,they scans all the planet,and finds the planet is full of hostile organisms except
on a high mountain where they discover that there are humans inside a cave.
Inside the cave they meet a herd of children, who tell that when they had lived on the planet for over ten years,
they began to be attacked by Xenomorphs and all the adults died or were turned into these creatures.
There were also great giants developed by someone the children calls David.
The engineers get ready to wipe out all the Xenomorphs that David has created, but the great giants manage to escape with one of the engineers' spaceships.
The engineers and Weyland hunts the spaceship and manage to force the spaceship down on the planet lv426.Where it start sending a distress signal.
The engineers return to Origae to find David, but discover that he has escaped.
In the last part we see David arriving and meeting an unknown alien species
on a tropical like planet.
At the same time Nostromo leaves a nearby planet with the cargo of ore.
But when he and the unknown aliens have left the spaceship,the deacon slips out of the ship and is seen running toward the nearest settlement.
And that makes the cliffhanger that ends the third movie.
The ending movie could have a duration about five hours ?
Oh amazing. Another movie about being stuck on a ship with a xenomorph. It's not like we've had that as well as video games about it already

This is the first time I've been really excited about an upcoming ALIEN movie since the trailer for AVP:R hit. PROMETHEUS and ALIEN COVENANT were both severe let downs in my opinion.
You thought prometheus and covenant were letdowns, yet excited vor avp? What a joke, can't take that opinion seriously

Unfortunately this feels like an Abrams Star Trek film trying too hard to be a good Alien film... am i the only one??
You’re on to something for sure. The visuals look great, but this cast has no gravitas, and the film will probably lack heart and soul.
Agreed, the visuals and set design are all well done, and a decent script could make this a promising film; however, the particular choice of cast is not appealing. A few young characters is perfectly acceptable, yet the complete absence of some relatively older and more experienced characters does not make the film appear serious. This feels like some cheesy 1990's slasher, featuring entirely high-school seniors and first year college students. I want to see haggard space truckers, colonel marines, or even religious convicts!

Don't you all get that this movie is not made for us real fans of the film, it's made to attract young kids in an attempt to kind of be like the SCREAM movies in the 90s. Horrible production and film and it's clear that Scott had little say in this film. The other 2 films Covenant and Prometheus were brilliant and fascinating, but now were are getting this schlock. Disney did a great job with Tron 2, but this movie is a joke. Alien is actually my favorite film of all time. This Romulus is going to totally tank because it will be boring. Just watch it flop.
as someone who liked prometheus and covenant its so weird to me that it felt like everyone hated it when it came out and now it seems everyone loves it. It's the Star Wars prequels all over again. I guess in a few years when another alien movie inevitably comes out this new one will be looked on fondly.
When one cannot connect to the characters because all are dumb, stupid and outright unlikable, then one roots for the "villain" to kill them off. So the question is, what was the purpose of the film? The original Trilogy had characters that one could be invested in, even in ALIEN³, we felt the loss of the character when they were killed off, or had to sacrifice themselves. Sure, the protagonist is the core, but the core alone isn't what makes the movie.
Personally, I don't see any reason to connect to these characters, the Android Andy is the only one that seems to be pushed to be likable, and that is a big mistake. The movie looks good, but like I said before, looking good doesn't mean it's the same as being good.

According to rumours from the script writers,Neill Blomkamp movie was about the Sulaco ship
drifting in space after the emergencypods were released.On the ship there were a xenomorph
hidden in the lower basement of the spaceship.After fifty years they are detected by another
ship bringing colonists to a new terraformed planet for humans.They send in two robots to
investigate.They find traces of dna in the ships database,and clones Hicks,Ripley and Newt.
But as clones they don't remember anything of the events that took place in the alien3 movie.
When they arrive at the colonists destinyplanet,the xenomorph starts to lay eggs.
Then all humans on the planets are attacked and a war breaks out.Ripley,Hicks and Newt manages to
escape in a spaceship they find in a cave. It is a engineer spaceship that takes them to the
engineers homeplanet called"Paradise".But when they have left the spaceship,a deacon crawls out
and makes a cliffhanger for a followup movie 😀

0:37 Can someone explain how illuminating the insides of your chest is medically possible? At the most, an intense light can shine through your fingers and parts of your hands. In order to penetrate through the entire chest cavity, the source of light should be outright incinerating the body, or emitting a lethal amount of radiation. I'm not a doctor, so an educated explanation is more than welcome.
A strong enough light would be able to do that.
I'll use an analogy with you, since "why" has too many levels of complexity.
When nuclear bombs were being tested in the US military, a common feedback from ground personnel "close enough to survive the blast" was that the light from the blast was so strong, that even when you closed your eyes, and covered your face with your arms, to shield your eyes, you'd still see your bones, as well as the bones of those in-front of you.
Outside of the military, you'd find strong enough flashlights, that if you placed your hand on it, it would be uncomfortably hot and you'd have your hand illuminated similar to what's shown in the trailer. Higher lumens of light would allow the same illuminating behaviour on your chest.
Tldr: It's possible.
