    The closeups of that huge school of big common carp was cool!… So were the closeups of those grass carp “kissing” your fly 😅. Awesome catches, awesome vid!

      Yeah, that was a rad group of common carp... Big ones in there! I wish I could have gotten one or two to take a fly! 🙂✌️🎣

    What’s up Kev! Nice catches as always, and interesting observation on the flower pedals too. The fish were biting away from them. That grass carp was so feisty, great catch! 😎🎣🔥

      Yo Kev! Hope you're having a great week! Yeah man, I call it the flower hatch... Whenever certain trees start dropping their petals in the canals, you just have to try to match the color of the petals to catch some fish on that particular day. If there are no petals, you can go back to traditional dry fly patterns. 🙂✌️🎣

      I’ve seen carp eat some wild stuff. Anything that grows and can get into that water will be eaten.

      @@johnlorenzo4212 for sure, man! They have to eat so much every day to maintain their weight and health, they really can't be too picky about what they eat!

    Nice stuff man. I finally caught some fish in the canals last week. I started throwing a white squirmy womr that I tie and was able to get the tilapia to bite. They also chased the green one but wouldn't take it .

      Nice man, great work getting those Tilapia to bite... They are tough to trick on the fly! If I remember correctly, I've had success with them in the past with white maribou jigs, so maybe white is a good color for em! 🤷🤷 Thanks for watching and dropping a comment! 🙂✌️🎣

      Maybe a dumb question but what knot for tying on your flies do you recommend?!?!

    • @KevinRapkochFishing
      @KevinRapkochFishing  Час назад

      @@E6AGI not a dumb question at all!! Especially for beginners, I recommend an advanced clinch knot with at least 5-6 twists before putting the line through the initial loop. The final step of the advanced clinch really secures the knot well. It's an easy, straight forward, and very effective knot! 🤙✌️🎣
