I'm loving that man I've got a Remo crawler series that I've tried to set up just like that well it is set up like that set my gas cans are against the back of the cab and then my box and then my tire.... Love the winch comes with it
I bought the sg4c flagship model its well worth the money. Plus they have the rear shock upgrade kit and roof lights for sale on their website. The shock upgrade helped alot stopping the torque twist.
Wow what a outstanding crawler and Amazing review, your like me ,very excited when you get something new and good, the ONLY THING am Not happy with is .........I want to see the dash light up 😔 lol , fantastic video my friend and thanks for sharing 👍😁👍
noticing that the shocks are not mounted as intended, they get flipped to get more weight down low and I find that some of the leaker shocks don't lose as much oil when doing so (don't have a problem with that, used the Green Slime from Team Associated). It has way more flex than needed for trail/crawl, moving the shock mounting positions helps reduce the flex as well as bringing the back down some. Not to take money away from anyone, but the SG4C model at least, you can move the rear shocks to the bottom front side of the axle and use the forward holes in the chassis frame, use the provided spacers. The coil just barely touches the lower link when at the maximum extension. To level it even further, move the front shock to the lower mount hole in the upper shock mount. Found me a new site to subscribe to.
I’m kinda there with you on the ams vs cms. The ams is easier when doing full custom builds. At the same time my box stock 10ii honcho is pretty killer also.
I get the scale people are gonna freak about that servo. But the truck to me seems more performance based with scale details. Which to me is the way to go. I want it to crawl Awesome before I add the scale details. Some people are the opposite. To each is own. But Cross is definitely on my radar. Expensive but to get what that kit comes with you'd be paying a fortune in aftermarket.
Mike Burgess RC on the Cross RC Facebook page a few of the guys have chassis mounted the servo. It works brilliantly where it is and I thought it was too much hassle to move.
AMEN! this truck is filling a missing gap. i was hesitant at first but i am glad we have them at the shop. Trends come and go, value and sweet accessories are legit thanks for the comment chris
The pinion angle in the rear looks pretty steep. Maybe some longer rod ends on your rear upper links. Truck looks great I look forward to seeing it perform on the rocks.
Also I know the servo on axle is better for performance but it does look like they were trying to make this pretty detailed as far as scale so I would say on chassis would be cool but it doesn't bother me that much. It's just a look thing. Performance will be better on the axle. Probably a pretty capable rig
Axle mounted Servo never bothered me... Paint everything Black, and you barely notice!!! No biggie. Better Performance, less Parts to break. Some people just get too Crazy!! 💥😵😵😵 With everything else they throw in, I can't WAIT to be able to afford one!! Carmine 💥 ⛽
Get my demon in a week and half the flagship model c. I'm a fan of cross-rc. I already got the PG4L and love it. Cross-rc are nothing but getting better with there product's. After i demon the next one i'm getting is the cross-tc Mammoth. Plus Cross-rc are coming out with new stuff all the time. Where other big name rc company's are not.
I bought mine. Should ship Monday. Can’t wait. What shock oil weight would you recommend? Did you weight the wheels? Could you recommend an ESC? Thanx for the video, BTW
Just an fyi, for those interested, This is an awesome rig, but not everybody is willing, or able to spend this much.. They have several versions of this kit available. I went with the cheapest lexan bodied version. The kit is still outstanding quality. And out of the box extremely capable. All for a budget friendly $270 price tag (U.S.). If you like the looks of the Demon, but are hesitant because it isn't one of the mainstream brands, You're cheating yourself out of what will likely be one of your best rigs. Good look at the Demon guys.
What is the price range for hobby shops vs Asian websites? Also, does it come with an okay crawler motor? I already have a second transmitter and some other stuff. Thanks again for another great video!!
LaceChaser it always costs more at brick and mortar hobby shops for various reasons (staff, building cost, licensing, etc etc etc.) It comes with a stock silver can Crawler motor that is quite basic and quite reliable For brushed motors we find cheap = durable. And when it does fail $20 gets you a new one Support your local hobby shop where you are and they will be there to help you for years to come .... remember cheaper isn’t better and thank you for watching I know you asked a simple question but the answer is long . And trust us we want all Rc users to have fun and have a great experience with any and all Rc products you buy /acquire Chris
Hey what's up guys I just bought this kit I Tony's right I don't like that far back window look like a bathroom window maybe I should hang some shower curtains inside of the vehicle I'll probably put a tiny soap dish also to be original
Looks really cool. The only thing that really bothers me is the engine bay. This truck would have come with a for cylinder being that it's modeled after a first gen yota. That being said with how modified this would be as a real truck it's not a wild thing to have an LS swap done. So really the main thing that could be done to make it better that would be the easiest is to get rid of the V8 badge on the front fender.
Pinion & spur? On that model? You put an scx10 type trans in it ?? Run mine on 3s w/ae-5 esc stock 35t. Give me a link to get pinions & Spurs for sg4c please.
my bad on that one. I did not find alternative spurs, pinions or rig gears... however you can run larger tires and also pick a lower turn motor to increase speed .... tires from rc4wd and xl proline tires are taller and will give you more run-out, a 20 or 27t motor will also yield you about 20-40% more speed thanks for your comments robert browning and keep having fun with your truck ps. i had a total brainfart about the all-in-one motor/tranny housing and yes you can run a scx or other various transmission to slow or speed up the cross but i wouldn't recommend it for the pain in the butt it will most likely be
Yeah got one of the "C" models about 2 weeks ago. Big mistake IMO. Missing a bunch of parts. The transmission is a joke, absolutely no bearings on any shafts, better oil a lot. Diff manufactured wrong, missing threads in housing, drilled strait through. I had to get longer bolts to assemble. I tried to contact Cross..... got nothing. I was able to get through assembly with all the extra parts I have from other builds. Ran first time and tore the 4 link mount right off the frame 10 min in. I didnt realize I should have bought the frame stiffener that goes between the mounts. Kinda lame changing batteries, if I didnt want spare tire on to save weight there is nothing holding in the battery. It is VERY hard to mount tires with these foams. The foams are too stiff. CI will be getting a call. Make sure to vent tires also. I like the detail of the body but their quality needs some work!
I know it's a kit but if somebody buys a Cross RC SG4 Demon "A" kit and builds it, then finds out the winch doesn't work because it's fake they won't be happy.
Oh dear maybe I should watch with my glasses on, I've got the very same box here next to me, I've got a "B" kit myself, just looked at the box and you're so right. This is my truck they are awesome, worth every penny except my apology. ruclips.net/video/ebdNezXTnFg/видео.html
depends on motor, esc and battery combo.... not to mention pinion and spur ratio plays huge roles in capable speed. top heavy a little and yes you need a compact battery thanks for the comment Chris
Robert Browning here you go buddy, this is on the UK Dealer site. greensmodels.co.uk/collections/drift-touring-cars/products/demon-rear-shock-re-mount-kit
Matt Baker Thanks man. Good idea, I'll be fabing some and give them a whirl. I did something similar just using a spacer. I know the driveshafts are quite & crawls better low.
That's the least of the problems with the box art. To begin with, it's actually a CGI rendering, not a photograph. Also, that exact same rendering appears on the boxes of all 3 of the editions. And last but not least, most glaringly, it features roof lights, which are sold separately. :)
too bad all the axles and screws and transmission is made from sub par steel. Ive had one since release and have changed out two transmissions and 4 sets of axles. Its a great truck if you swap out the axles to a different manufacturer and figure out how to keep the transmission gears from chewing themselves up. This truck also didn't come with all the screws to finish the build. Junk unfortunately.
No bearings in the transmission (or anywhere in the entire truck for that matter) and the transmission gear set is riveted together so once a gear is bad the entire transmission set of internals is garbage.
I'm loving that man I've got a Remo crawler series that I've tried to set up just like that well it is set up like that set my gas cans are against the back of the cab and then my box and then my tire.... Love the winch comes with it
Got the sg4 c and damn what a nice truck. Just ordered the sp4 conversion kit for the pickup bed.

Man those rockers look tough unlike my scx10ii rockers that the body always pops out of lol

So now I'm dyeing to find out about this truck, you know the info that helps.
As an owner of one, I would sincerely recommend something else for that amount of money.
Hey what's up guys I just bought this kit I Tony's right I don't like that far back window look like a bathroom window maybe I should hang some shower curtains inside of the vehicle I'll probably put a tiny soap dish also to be original
Just a quick unrelated question, do Trx-4 bumpers or scx10 bumpers fit onto the redcat Everest Gen 7
Before US release I saw these online for less than 200 bucks
There are different versions. You can still get the 200 dollar model.

Paint valve covers red ala vette Ls3
@@pauljones9411 exactly everyone drops ls3's in yotas
@@tombeckman dropped one in my C5 Z06 lol
@@pauljones9411 very nice I'm going to put one in my fzj80 land cruiser
You know the backglass has a protective sheet on it?
Yeah we sure do
Figured it out after the video
Luv it HOW MUCH. AND WHERE

I only seen like 4 version on cross rc $259 to $549 . You said from $350 up to $800 ???
Canadian dollars.....
On the box it says that it's an A kit but the one you have on the counter is a B kit.
It’s a kit , we built the kit, enjoy :)
I know it's a kit but if somebody buys a Cross RC SG4 Demon "A" kit and builds it, then finds out the winch doesn't work because it's fake they won't be happy.
Matt Baker box says b model on it.... it’s a weird text font they use
And we always confirm specs
Oh dear maybe I should watch with my glasses on, I've got the very same box here next to me, I've got a "B" kit myself, just looked at the box and you're so right.

ruclips.net/video/ebdNezXTnFg/видео.html
Looks like the "c" kit that I have.
Definitely needs to be levelled out a little bit. Front end is low
I figured that's to concentrate the weight in the front to minimize the chance of it tipping over backwards on a steep incline.
@chris you bafoon there is plastic protector on the rear window 😂👌
Hahahha
Yeah we figured that out after the video
i was going to say the same thing. mine had it on both sides
Slow, top heavy, a ton of torque twist & be sure to get a small size battery that fits.
depends on motor, esc and battery combo.... not to mention pinion and spur ratio plays huge roles in capable speed. top heavy a little and yes you need a compact battery
thanks for the comment
Chris
Mines not that slow, top heavy and torque twist I agree with but weight the wheels and their is also a rear suspension mod that helps with the twist.
Matt Baker Hey Matt, what is the rear shock mod? I've tried mine in several positions. Clue me in.
Wish Cross Rc Would Make RTR
What fun would that be?
Your wish came true. Looks impressive too
Box says it’s an A model but has the aluminum wheels? Huh?
That's the least of the problems with the box art. To begin with, it's actually a CGI rendering, not a photograph. Also, that exact same rendering appears on the boxes of all 3 of the editions. And last but not least, most glaringly, it features roof lights, which are sold separately. :)
The truck bed looks to short
