I like the 3 horns but the sound of the flugelhorn is my favorite.

Bill, please give a comparison of this Euro flugel with the red brass bell to the version with the gold brass bell. Which has the darker tone? It would be interesting to hear them side by side sometime. Thanks.
The red brass bell is slightly warmer but you can easily change the tone of the gold brass bell by changing the mouthpiece.

Is there a larger diameter or deeper bell mouthpiece which could give the pocket trumpet a lower tone? Or, would slides out aid in this as well? I never wanted to scream highs thirty years ago when I played trumpet, but now I'm planning to buy a horn again and I really like the compact pockets but want to play more low mellow slow jazz
I achieve a dark/warm tone/sound on my BC pocket model with my customized specifications (red brass material, larger bell and deep cup mouthpiece) Check out my BC pocket model here:
