    I have an X590 I went to tractor supply and got a 2 inch ball receiver Took the two bolts on my metal John Deere wagon looks like the same bolt pattern to yours bolted the receiver on and I put a ball on the mower also works really good for throwing with a toe strap. it makes swapping out the trailer take two seconds and it’s very strong and not any concern about coming off doesn’t slam up and down at all

    There are rules in my community that would require a small culvert to be placed. That ditch is there because engineers put it there.

    Yeah...thank you for the video. I am getting it. I just emailed my JD dealer to change the order from the 10P to the 10PX. Oh, and I added that magnetic pin. Anything that makes life easier, I am game!
    I did noticed that you are not using the spacers? Just because those are a PITA to use every time or???

    • @JoshsGreenGarage

      What are these spacers you speak of?

    • @Wachuko-1

      @@JoshsGreenGarage my bad... I downloaded the User Manual... those are not needed on the 10PX cart.
      I also placed the order for the John Deere 44" Lawn Sweeper (part #LP49038) and was also watching a video of that one... that sweeper requires two 3/4" spacers that the pull pin goes through. Those are used to maintain constant ground clearance on the sweeper... This is obviously not needed when pulling the cart.
      You can see what I am talking about on page 10 on the JD sweeper manual: a.sellpoint.net/a/Download+Instructions.pdf?spworld_assetname=JYXwbMWo.pdf
      Apologies for the confusion on my part.

      gotcha, I have the 42" sweeper, videos to come soon..... but they are great! well worth the investment! mine doesn't have any spacers though like you speak of, the 42" has an adjustable tongue, so they aren't required like the 44".

    That tractor could, under good wheeled conditions on hard ground, pull 20,000 lbs. What you have there is about 350 lbs.

    On level ground you have to rake out half the load as they dont dump completely.

    • @JoshsGreenGarage
      @JoshsGreenGarage  Год назад

      That’s why the full dump is handy! I do wish they had less of a lip right at the back though…

    Dude , that’s your drainage ditch, it’s there on purpose for road runoff. Lol

      Yeah... Said that in the first 30 seconds lol... All good though even after 2 breakup seasons so far.

    I would like to know if one could gain parts from JD, and convert an existing 10P cart to the 10PX model--why buy a new one when by adding parts you gain an extra tilt feature--will check with my parts guy at the dealership.

      @JoshsGreenGarage  2 года назад +1

      Great question, and the answer is yes you can! This cart is made by Brinly, and they sell a kit to make a 10P a 10PX:
      brinly.com/product/the-roger-180-degree-full-dump-kit-for-brinly-hardy-10-cu-ft-poly-carts/
      Just dont get it from amazon, they have a way higher price...

    4:10 do you think a 17p would be to big for a S170?

    • @JoshsGreenGarage
      @JoshsGreenGarage  5 месяцев назад

      Under normal use like carrying garden tools, or some plants or something, you would be fine, maybe even a bunch of mulch. I wouldn’t recommend filling it with gravel or dirt though. The S170 is stout for a 100 series, but weight wise not a good idea.

      Sorry, got this one from the dealer, they had it already assembled on the showroom floor. Didn’t have the opportunity to assemble myself… same goes for the sweeper unfortunately

      @JoshsGreenGarage  6 месяцев назад +1

      Haha, yeah just a little when you have that much weight in it. It’s plenty strong though with a normal load. My intent was just to show how much you can really do.
