- These are our John Deere utility carts for the farm. Doesn't really matter whether it's wood, dirt, pails of water or manure these take it all. These poly carts can really take a beating.
I have a 10P cart, I have loaded it to overflowing, never had a problem with it. Great cart.
I have a 10 which I'm considering adding a electric dump. I've dumped in the 10, 2 1/2 buckets from the little buck loader which is great
Nice video, thanks for making it. I've had a 17P for about ten years now. I don't remember even having to air up the tires. I have a small chunk missing from the rounded off belt line at the top of the back side. I backed into a tree pretty hard. I could have glued it back on but it wasn't worth my time. If it was a metal cart I'd have had to buy a new tailgate. These are the best carts I know of, and they hold water, as I've used my as a water tank for new trees. Another benefit has been when just doing weeding or light tasks we walk it around the yard without having to bother with the garden tractor. The price is a bargain given how long they last.
Yeah i have the JD 10p and 17p also Great carts, thinking about a Polar 22 now
Thanks for the Vid!
I like the size of the 17P but my tractor a Husqvarna TC138L has only 12HP, would you still recommend it for such a small size tractor?
This is fantastic! Although it's better to be bigger than not have the space I think this might be overkill for me and some simple brush hauls etc. The 10 seems perfect.
I think they discontinued these models. The 10p is almost 600 bucks and in very limited stock and the 17p has been out of stock everywhere.
I just bought the 10P from the John D dealership yesterday.
I paid $500 for mine.
Now it's $329 for the 10p. F***ing ridiculous. I just ordered the 10px for my John Deere zero turn mower. $380 after taxes which is absolutely crazy if you ask me but I need it. I have a lot of big backyard projects I'm doing..... hauling concrete bags, compost, rock/stone, dirt and mulch. Less effort and more reserved energy than wheelbarrow it.
Thanks Biden.
Thanks for sharing. Great demo and info!
I like the steel ones
So now that you've had the 17P for a couple years, how is it holding up and do you still recommend them as highly?
Tee Jay Yes we love it, as matter of fact we have two of them now and they are holding up great
I just ordered one, $316. Plus I have to assemble it!
So do you put buckets of water in them, or do you fill the actual cart with (sloshing) water? or what?... for watering those distant trees
That is why they make tanks
Thanks for the demo. Great video . . .
Will have be very helpfull to have the dimensions of both of them… 😉
thanks for the video! got lots of info! i was just looking to purchase one :)
Where do you get the pin with a handle?
*Magnetic hitch pin* is sold at most John Deere stores, also sold at Home Depot for $14.99.
Cheers.
How fragile/Durable in Freezing weather ?
done great for years for us, still have them both
Good video.
How are these compatible with the Z500 series?
What does 17 P stand for on a garden cart by John Deere
17 cubic feet, Polycarbonate.
how big are yer trees now
thanks glad you like it
Could I threw large logs in that without worrying about the plastic breaking? By throw I mean toss not just sit gently.
i think it might break if they are large enough
Is a handle made for these that enable them to be moved by hand/used like a wheelbarrow?
not really more of dump handle to help trip it into dumping postion=)
GOOD DEMO
is the 17p much wider? google not much help. Just thinking about going through gates etc. ... tia
About 3 inches wider on each side, its lot taller:)
Magic, thanks for the response. Suppose to pickup a mower + 10p trailer today but think I may upgrade as I can see myself regretting the smaller one. Cheers.
You should've showed how to build it!
lucky I put way too much in the bucket and bent the axel and is still works but need a new one
Anybody know does either one of this fit on my john deere z300 series?
Yes it will fit on any size riding mower. Doesn't have to be a Deere. Also, all the big box hardware stores will give you a full refund if you don't like it, no questions asked.
what are the dimensions of the 10p cart. the bucket part
Dusty don’t be lazy ....goggle it ....literally took me 30sec. salesmanual.deere.com/sales/salesmanual/en_NA/lawn_equipment/attachments/lppct10jd_utility-cart_10p.html
