- you may have heard of underpass goth raves, now get ready for..um....doing the sad goth two-step alone in your room?
I wanted to make one of those playlist videos but with vk bands!!! I hope it is acceptable :') it's my first time making a video like this :0 (I hope the volume is consistent too.. I tried my best) (also sorry for making the 1st song a 6 minute long one I just thought it was a pretty strong intro. don't u agree?)
TIMESTAMPS:
Madeth Gray'II- Lucifer 0:00-6:39
Lareine- Scarlet Majesty 6:39-11:34
Missalina Rei- Ai 2000 11:35-16:23
Baiser- Earth 16:25-20:37
Malice Mizer- Seraph 20:39-24:54
Shazna- Lovers 24:56
Baiser- Dementia 27:50-33:51
I DON'T OWN ANY SONGS! this video is just to share music I like and will never be monetized
just ignore these they're for tagging purposes lol:
visual kei, 90s visual kei, kote kei, goth playlist, malice mizer, baiser, lareine, shazna, missalina rei, madeth gray'll
Malice Mizer was my introduction to gothic visual kei and I’ve been a fan of the genre for almost 20 years.
none of these songs are on spotify :((( but your playlist is excellent! I trust your taste completely
Lareine is on Spotify! 😊
Probably because Visual Kei is niche that doesn't appeal to the mainstream, especially 90's Visual Kei which was the time when Visual Kei was very experimental.
lareine and shazna are on spotify, but the rest are old and have no large following (never really did) . as well as label issues. Similar to the malice mizer situation. (one of their albums is under a big label and the rest falls under MidiNette).
matina is a label that has 100s of bands similar to these in the video but im pretty sure matina hasnt been an active label since early 2000s so theres no way to put any music signed under them onto streaming platforms. (matina had rights for madeth gray'll and many other kotekei bands)
I was looking for a french song in midi format for my keyboard when I found malice mizer Aprés Midi haha and then I went down the Visual K-hole, as someone who appreciates both rock, metal and industrial music alongside classic and chanson I think I found gold.
old school and kote kei are timeless!
Thanks for making this playlist! I have been wanting to get into visual kei and only listened to Malice Miser :)
I know this playlist is 2 years old but not only are you a Baiser appreciator you also put a Tetsu era Malice Mizer track 😍 love this playlist.

I like to put on a rain track on at the same time when I listen to these, makes it all moody and comfy. Love this playlist, definitely one of my favourites

Back when visual kei had soul.

you are SO right
who is the girl of the thumbnail?
who is the girl?
the person in the thumbnail is Arisugawa Arisu, the lead singer of Missalina Rei! He's not a girl tho 😅
@@oberonrelatable7657 i never understood why visual kei guys dress up as women
@@riri_doesnothingatall androgyny (and in some cases, femininity) is a core part of visual kei aesthetics. basically, sometimes male artists dress feminine to add an extra layer of "shock value" to their performances, since you wouldn't expect a dude in a frilly dress to be playing this type of music. or sometimes it's not that reason, they just feel like it I guess!
@@oberonrelatable7657 ah i see
