Being new to Tekken, yeah I learned a lot. Knowing about king and his story throughout the series. Mad respect for the two men who do this for children, to them, King is a hero. Awesome work.

Learned so much. The tale of the Kings made me feel a lot of emotion.
can we all admit how much of a nice guy king 2 is, dude runs a orphanage, does charity, forgives his mentor killer, pays for his mentor brother surgery and his former enemies surgery, goes in front of the line a war to save the world, and is humble enough to give another person a chance in a rematch.
And he's an impenetrable wall of muscle 💪 a jack of all trades

King one of my favorite character in the fighting game because he is chad and only roar. i love him man i main him for that reason
Now, this is the most GOATED character of all time! I love King and his storyline in Tekken. It's truly a refreshing to take another story outside the Mishima family feud.
Im terrible playing as King, but King is consistently one of the hype in game characters to watch/play, and they have one of the best consistent storylines. I love the three way Rivalry between King II, Marduk and Armor King.
I'm not great with King either, but if you know how to use him he's a monster.

He was my favorite character originally when I played Tekken 1 as a kid, but little did I know I'd been playing him the wrong way all along 😂🤣🤣 been maining Kazuya since Tekken 4, but I did go back to King in Tekken 7 and got kinda good with his grapple combos, but sheesh! He is a very difficult character to learn!

I was always a fan of King since the first game. I remember I was a wee lad at the local Walmart and it had a Tekken 3 machine at the entrance. I saw someone do his multi-throw chain and my mind was blown. From Tekken 1-2, I didn't even know what juggling was but when I got deep into Tekken 3 and learned about combos/juggling, it made my love for Fighting Games blossom. I'm super old now and my reaction time isn't what it used to be so I've pretty much stopped playing Fighting Games but I still love watching the story and cutscenes to them.
Tekken 3 is the one that brought in a lot of fans including myself. 1 and 2 were successful but 3 is where the series really exploded in popularity.
maybe its the edible but king's tekken 2 ending was really truly heartwarming. cuz he's A DA. KING!!!!!
King is my favorite character in Tekken, this was amazing! Can't wait for the next of this series (and the Megaman timeline as well :D)

As added history to king is done by new Japan pro wrestling Minoru Suzuki was a motion capture for king in the OG Tekken games and the creator is fan of wrestling.

That sort of gameplay already existed for Tekken 6's Scenario Campaign as well as the Tekken Force mode in Tekken 3 and 4.
Not to mention Devil Within for Tekken 5.

Only time we've really seen a King face in game is the intro to Tekken 1 real quick.
Pity that I would have prefered for Kings I and II to actually speak for once.

Yiu did miss his third inspiration Guinn from the novel Guinn Saga
Guin didn't really have anything to do with King though. Tiger Mask the wrestler was inspired by a 1968 manga called Tiger Mask, which in turn inspired King. So Guin was probably inspired by the same original source, explaining the similarity between the two.
Man teekan 8 Is more better than street fighter 6 cause street fighter 6 has no story while teekan 8 has a story
Street Fighter 6 does have a story and I cant tell you if your serious or not on your claim. Because Tekkan is spelled wrong.
I'm a fan of both series but yea, Tekken 8 REALLY pushed the Tekken series forward and created one of its best entries in years. Cinematic stories should be a standard in fighting games now.

I will be honest i have played tekken aince 4 and not missed a one. I even went to see tekken blood vengeance in theaters. I absolutely hate 8 heat system. Idk why but it feels like it went from semi serious fighter to we straight anime (not a issue just not for me). I also am sick of bryan jak top 8 and rhem not buffing characters who need it. AK also not planned to be in the game really bothers me (also the fact rhey never buffed him in 7 which blew my mind (he was easily bottom 2)
Makes sense though, all these fighters copy one another and "special moves when a meter is full" are pretty much a standard now. Gives players that edge if they get beat up too hard lol.
