I legit thought I am gonna cry like an infant when -probably your momma- said ''it's too big for a ps game'' and then it was revealed it was the whole prestige tekken 4 package. Glorious days indeed
Your family is great, having your parents not only introduce you into video games but actually enjoy to play games with you is something I always wanted to with my parents. This video is great, I can't wait for more Tekken videos!
Tekken 5 intro make me cry, even if I relatively control my emotions, and I'm not very emotional person. Once my friend saw me with tears on my eyes he thought something really bad happened, but I was just watching tekken 5 intro in cycle. And each time that I listen to it, it hit deep in my heart, so many memories came back to me, especially when I hear "I'm here now. I'm doing the best I can. Where are you now? Did your dreams come true? Here we go... Swear yoy wont give up.." it just ends me. Tekken 5 was the game that helped me to get though all shit that was happening to me, when I was kid and had go though hard periods in my life I always said to my self "imagine you are Jin/Devil Jin" or "Jin would go though it and blabla" and i did it, i pass this periods. I felt like characters holded my hand and help me to get though, as i had no friends or any support from anyone, this game somehow replaced them. And today, when i hear this intro song especially "did you dreams come true" it's like if this game was asking me that, like if this game was a real person who helped me get though all hard periods in my life when since i was kid, and I see myself as a character that reply "yes", and its true I am achieving my dreams etc... Now I have friends, I'm studying and achieving my dreams. And it's crazy to know that this game had such a big impact on my life. Idk if I would achiev so much if I didn't had tekken 5 and my ps2 (I still have this tekken5!!!). Well, I let my emotions take over while I was writing this, it's so weird to share my feelings about this, but i wanted to do it with other people who love/like tekken as me. And especially under a video where the author shares the same. And sorry for my mistakes, english is not my native language. Stay strong, guys! 🫶 And thank you for the video
Thank you for sharing! It’s powerful stuff to hear that others shared similar experiences and got through the heartache. I appreciate you breaking down your experience after listening to mine!
Really appreciate it! Didn’t wanna do an in-depth dive on the mechanics and lore, there’s plenty of those out there! Just wanted to talk about what it meant to me, thanks for watching!
This has got to be the first tekken video that perfectly encapsulates how much I LOVE this series. It's difficult to describe to someone why a video game can mean so much emotionally, but you did it. The first tekken I played was either 4 or 5-altough I don't remember it clearly, since I was about 6 years old at the time. Tekken 6 and Tekken Tag Tournament 2 though? I *cannot* explain how much I love those two games. Especially TT2. The intro for tekken tag was so cool, and seeing jin kazama ride his bike as a young girl in the intro cutscene? I could NOT shut up to my friends about how cool and attractive he was. The customization in that game was crazy too. In general, the tekken games have always been an escape from reality for me. My childhood was very rough, and I could only play tekken when I was at my grandma's place. Her son had an xbox 360, and I'd always come to watch him play in his room. I really grew up with tekken. Started at 6, and am now 18. I hope this series goes on for as long as possible. Maybe someday I can introduce my son or daughter to the franchise, and InDoCtriNaTE them into loving it just as much! Jk, but yeah, great video man!
Thank you so much! Tekken was a big escape for me too from time to time! Thank you for sharing and watching! Remember to go easy on those kids one day!😅
My Nostalgia with Tekken was in summer 1998. My father bought a projector and i figured out how to hook up my PS1 to it. I gathered some friends in our garden and we projected the game to the white sidewall of our house. In the dark it looked absolutly awesome. The projection was around 15m x 6m. The whole neighbourhood watched while we beat the sh1t out of each other.
Now that sounds like a dope memory! My theater teacher in high school would let us hook the PS4 up onto the big screen projector and we’d have tournaments after school all the time! Thanks for watching and reminding me of that memory!
I'm glad I'm not the only one who has serious nostalgia with this franchise. I remember playing Tekken 5 in an arcade during weekends, with spare change that I had saved for the entire week of school. My childhood was fucked up but Tekken was a huge part in making things a bit better. That arcade that had Tekken 5 in it closed down 5 years ago. Everytime i pass by that empty space at the mall makes me smile a little, just feeling grateful that it was my happy place as a kid. I still play Tekken 6 at a different arcade that is surprisingly still alive and tekken 7 from time to time when i come home from work, Still saving up to buy my Tekken 8 copy 😅.
Intro made me cry, im 14 right now and i started playing tekken when i was 10 with my cousins, every day we would play tekken, never in my life have i had so much fun, when t8 came out it made my cry
man i cannot thank more my parents for gifting me tekken 5 in release. i also grew up playing tekken. i aleays was the shy kid that no one would like to play tekken with also. i at least experienced one every feeling you describe and ita beautiful. thank you for making this video i will come back to it when i need it youre amazing
Damn I hope your channel blows up man, I loved this vid, and it really spoke to me as Tekken meant just as much to me growing up, it was the one game I could convince my family to play and we loved it, and I've been a fan since I played the first Tekken on my brother's PS1 when I was a toddler ahaha. 25 years old now and Tekken 8 is absolutely fun as hell, and the story was an absolute love letter to the Tekken fan. Every time Tekken is announced I get super hyped, something that just doesn't happen for any other game anymore, and with the spike in popularity for Tekken since 7 got more popular, I'm glad my friends are finally starting to join me with the hype! Tekken will forever be my favourite video game franchise, I love every single installment for one reason or another, and I am forever thankful for the people that made this game, as well as the community we have that pushes this game to be the best fighting game ever. Also I'm so jealous you met the team, the most interaction I had was when Harada replied to my tweet when I bought TTT2 ahaha
I appreciate it! We’re just getting started over here! I love how much reach I’m getting with Tekken fans all over with similar stories! I’ve yet to get Harada to respond to my tweets unfortunately but I’m very happy to have met him! Thanks for sharing and watchin!
I watched a lot of "retrospectives" of tekken ( pretty much for the same reason you watch tekken endings lol) but I rarely seen such good essay on how much it means to someone, very well done.
I really appreciate that! I honestly thought this vid would do so poorly cuz who would care enough to know how much a game means to some rando but I was very happy to be wrong:) thanks for watchin!
It feels like a lost memory I wanna go back to and relive. Like a golden child memory, where the world was okay. Lol. That intro strikes them emotions real hard haha
I have been a casual fan of Tekken for as long as I could remember. I have glimpsed Tekken 3 and Tag Tournament at the arcades, but when I got my PSP and played Tekken Dark Resurrection? Man, it was as if a core memory was born that day. Then my dad bought a PS2, and when I played Tekken 5? I related HEAVILY during the part about the Sparking! Intro, and it was a lot of fun actually playing it with others (despite me losing a lot to button mashers). And it all continued from there. I played T6 on the PSP, played a little T7 and TTT2 in the arcade during my college years, and I have seen all the prologues/endings, all the movies, and a LOT of videos on the Lore of Tekken. Tekken really is something, truly a force to be reckoned with. Thanks for the video, an amazing dose of nostalgia.
The intro video and everything from your descriptions of your mom and dad loving Tekken and getting you and your brother into the game to showing the pictures of them making your Devil Jin Halloween costume is just the most fucking wholesome shit I've ever seen. Amazing job with this video and I hope you're enjoying Tekken 8!
Thanks for watching! Tekken means just a whole lot to my family altogether so I’m glad I was able to bring it all together here! Tekken 8 has been incredible!
Tekken 4 is kinda like the Star Wars prequels in the sense that they were very controversial at the time but extremely well regarded much later, which makes me very happy to see!
I remember my memories with tekken 4 so vividly it’s insane remember looking at the intro with my dad and getting excited and jumping up and down when I saw the roster popped up and LOVED xiaoyu and Nina as a kid and was so happy when I finally beat my dads kazyua I could go on and on about Tekken 4 and my memories with Tekken in general I will always love it
I remember being a kid and playing tekken 3 and imitate jin kazama but yeah I also remember tekken 4 because I remember the ps 2 era more vividly and the atmosphere of the game is giving me always nostalgia.
You know, it's people like you, that got me into giving Tekken another Chance. I always played Fighting Games on and of, but there was never really one that stuck with me. I bought Tekken7 along with Guilty Gear XRD and Street Fighter V, about 8 months ago. I mostly wanted Guilty Gear, SF was nice to have and I trained a bit, before playing SF6 and MK1 following the Year. All felt kinda good, but none of the games gave me the bite to stay...then I played Tekken7 and this led me to watch this third 40+ minutes video and two days, repeating it, cause the way you convey your thoughts are so intriguing. I may have to play it some longer to truelly come close to year over 20 years of experience, but this is truely one serious, that I would really be glad to master. Gotta gather some money, train a bit and then...hopefully I can cross paths with you...see in The King of Iron Fist Tournament 8👊🏻👍🏻
I truly appreciate your kind words 😭 I made this video hoping to connect with others about how emotional a video game franchise can be with those who love it, I’m glad it’s reaching a lot of people especially like you who are kind enough to comment! It’s never too late to get into Tekken is what I always say! It felt like such a niche game growing up where I did that not many people I knew liked it; so I’m always happy to hear people who are giving it a chance now! Thanks for watching!
I absolutely love this. Tekken holds a special place in my heart. One of my earliest memories is going to coming home from school one day and my dad had just got the game left the intro movie looping on the TV. Simple moments like that resonate for a lifetime and I think you captured that pretty well. I used to fanboy over Jin's hair too ❤
As a guy who has born early 90s it does feel weird heard early 00 nostalgia from someone who has born year 2000 XD But great video! Your editing is very impressive :) this content deserves more views
I feel a similar way when younger people than me talk about their experiences! Thank you for the kind words but all editing credits go to my boy Nate! He does all my vids and is in the description!
I hope it's ok if I also share a bit of my story 😭 I remember my first contact with Tekken, it was Tekken 4 too 😭 I played a Demo on one of the official PS2 Demo Discs, it also included a Trailer for Tomb Raider: Angel of Darkness, TR being my other life passion that will never fade. The demo had 2 playable characters, Paul and Christie and I used to play the hell out of it. I made up my own head canon that Paul and Christie were in a relationship 💀😂 Soon after I was strolling through our electronics store which also carried games and I saw Tekken 4, I begged my dad to buy it for me and I have played it so much. Xiaoyu was my first main gaming crush (I like dudes now so yeah) Soon after I played T3 at a friends house, then TTT. When T5 came out I played it like every day. I even played Devil Within with a friend, the game crashed after we beat True Ogre. For Christmas, I got a PSP with Dark Resurrection, I also played the hell out of it. I only played 6 on PSP bc I didn't have a PS3 for a long time, but I was at Gamescom when TTT2 was there and I got a small glimpse of it, the opening by this time took me out completely, I loved seeing Kunimitsu and I remember being so unbelievably hyped about COMBOT OF ALL CHARACTERS (I love Combot and I loved all of the customizations you could give it in TTT2) When T7 came out I just started university and that's when I bought my first arcade stick bc I was convinced it would make me better 😂 I don't play T8 much at this moment bc I am a little caught up with my studies as well as my job, but believe me, one day I will change that.
Thank you for sharing! I think Xiaoyu is the perfect first gaming crush, even if she’s not your forte these days 😂 Combot is goated and I wish I talked about him more in this vid lol, TTT2 is supremely underrated and it breaks my heart that it didn’t do well because it had so much charm! Tekken 8 will always be waiting for you when you find the time for it! Good luck with your studies!
I started with tekken 5 and ended up finding and playing the rest of the games i absolutley love the games so much so glad i got to play it at 6 years old
You triggered my nostaligia. I forgot what it was like when old game dvds or cds would become too scratched to be used, but youd still have the case or the disc and youd look at it like "aw hell miss that"
Seeing it come together was emotional for me too! I don’t even remember opening the gift, if not for the video I wouldn’t know that it happened, real glad I was able to find it!
I’d like to personally thank you for recommending me the Tetsuman manga. The story is pretty alright any satisfies my Asuka loving heart and the fan service is top tier. Man I love her and Xiaoyu. That said, a 10/10 video. The fact that you assumed Kazuya was Jin’s brother gives me a sense of nostalgia cause I was that kid too back then. My first Tekken was the first Tekken game, played on Namco’s 50th anniversary disc game on the PS2. Though I wasn’t really aware of it that much at the time, it’s my first owned Tekken game. Since I played Tekken 5 with my cousin’s disc. Also due to me just picking things and not reading things 100% I was weirded out why Jin Kazama didn’t have bangs when I played it turns out it was Kazuya. Now that I think about it, my first Tekken was either the first one or the 5th one played on my cousin’s PS2. The Tekken game I played the most is 6 on my PSP and boy, the amount of hours I spent on that game just playing VS Ghost. Think the highest rank I reached was Legend with Jin Kazama and I played the game damn well often. I’m personally a massive Jin fan honestly, since the day I saw him the first time I just knew he’s the one, over time I ended up maining Jin, Devil Jin, Lars, Hwo and Asuka but Jin and DVJ remains the top regardless. Man, I wish one day I have the chance to play T2,3 and 4. It looks fun but I never had the chance to play them. Often times I’d visit the arcade to play TT2 so there’s that too! Everything aside, this whole video touched my heart (especially the intro) and I’m glad you made it and with the release of Tekken 8, after finishing it, I’d like to say that as a Jin fan that’s been his fan since my eyes first laid on him, they gave us a masterpiece.
Glad you read the manga! I’d love to cover it and some of the other odd Tekken comics individually at some point! And it always intrigues me to hear when someone manages to not play a lot of the Tekken backlog, it’s such a foreign concept to me as a lifelong fan but we all pretty much play what we have access too! Thanks for sharing your experiences and thanks for the kind words! I really appreciate it!
I appreciate it, my editor in the description does all my videos and is the hardest working person I know! Could never do it without him, We won’t let you down!
I appreciate that! I genuinely thought when making it that not a lot of people would care about the stuff I was rambling about but it’s been a very nice surprise that people are getting emotional watching it! Thanks for watchin!
Maaaaaan. This was so heartwarming. No idea someone could feel this way about the lore and plot of a fighting game of all things. I played a good amount of Tekken 3, and Tekken is the only fighting game franchise I enjoy playing, even though I SUCK at fighting games. But watching this video, and hearing about all your experiences... Man, it reminded me of how I felt growing up with JRPGs. This truly was a love letter to the franchise, and I thank you for putting this out there
Hey, this is such a well edited and animated video, i thought you had to at least have 100k followers and was surprised you only had 600. Great story telling and wishing you success.
I didn't get into Tekken until I heard an extended version of Kitsch Beach from Tekken 4 with wave sounds and footage of Jin and Kazuya fighting for 15 minutes, that video made me fall in love with the series!
I started playing Tekken 4 first back in Italy in late 2007 with King, whom lately became my fav on T4 till'now, T3 is the one of them where I really improved myself with Yoshimitsu & Tekken 5 thanks to a Colombian friend of mine. Big Nostalgia! 8:27 Every time I went on story mode was bc of the crazy artworks & different life telling.
This video deserves to be recognized, this is such a heartwarming and pleasing video, the pacing and editing is done really good! I can’t believe you have less than a 1k subscribers! I thought I clicked on a video of a popular and already well established channel‼️
I thought it was pretty cool as a kid😂 and my parents really went all out for that one; buying multiple parts to make a new costume that didn’t exist must’ve been taxing 😅thanks for watching!
Hey man this was a good video. Thanks for sharing your experience. I can tell you put a lot of passion into the video. I can 100% relate with looking up lore video on fighting games. For me that game was king of fighters where I did that. Also on the topic of tekken, my first one I believe was tekken tag one and tekken 5 I played those as a kid with my dad, and for some reason tekken 4 eluded me all these years and it’s only recently I saw what it looked like. Wish I would’ve got to play it back in the day, but hey at least I bought a copy recently and I got to try it, and casually it’s very fun despite all the videos saying it is the black sheep of the series.
Got so much love for those titles! I honestly wish I got into KOF! I never did but seeing alot of fans of it at EVO was truly something, they’re a dedicated lot!
That intro was everything I needed today🥹🥰. Too precious💜. My mom got my brother and I into fighting games, with Tekken, Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat, and Killer Instinct. We still play all 4 franchises til this day
@@SociallDrinkerr yeah they had a VERY long hiatus, but it was great to see KI3 come back. I just hate that it’s only on Xbox and PC. I have both, but I’m still pretty fond of my Nintendo consoles. I’m glad they added KI back to the Switch via SNES Online.
Tekken 5 is THE best modern tekken , The early 2000s look and the characters like Christie looking like Beyonce or Lei looking like Jackie Chan during a time when both those characters were very popular, the Futuristic matrix like announcer along with the Stage designers being planted in reality really made it top notching had dynamic music as well for the first time I'm tekken series.m *edit* Tekken 4*
Huh... Funny how your mom ended up being a Jun main and you ended up being mostly a Jin main, quite poetic and honestly just plain badass, I do kinda wish your dad was a Kazuya main just for the sake of coincidence but yeah LMAO. Sick video!
I love Tekken!!! It was an important part of my childhood and introduction to videogames with Crash Bandicoot and Grand Tourismo. I had Tekken 5 on PS2 and Tekken 6 on PSP. Tekken 5 was something else. I still remember the OP (especially the first shot with moon and feather). I played tekken 1 and 2 in arcade museum (for some reason third never worked). I never finished first level of devil within (I was stupid back then). I played tekken 6 more because ps2 was sold and it was INSANELY popular in my class. All of us tried to achieve the highest rank - Tekken God, which I was the only one to achieve. I remember maining Devil Jin. He was everything for young me. His design, his laser and flying move, his voice, his ending. So, yeah, Tekken was an important part of my childhood. Fun fact: none of my class played multiplayer in Tekken 6, because we didn't know how to access multiplayer on psp.
I could do a whole half hour vid on Crash Nostalgia! Devil Jin was truly a great design, I never got some of the hate he got for it at the time, thanks for watchin!!
This whole video hit me like a train emotionally because I share the very same love you have for Tekken. I was five years old when I discovered the series, my first exposure to the series was Tekken 4 from one of those European PS2 Demo Discs that had Paul and Christie as playable characters. I remember loving the atmosphere and music and I'd always play that demo to no end until I gave the disc back to my cousin. It would eventually fade from my memory until a year later, where I stop by my grandparents' house and visit my cousin in his room to find out he got Tekken 5 on the PS2, I remember the opening having my jaw drop, I haven't seen anything like it before, and especially that scene of Kazuya and Heihachi teaming up to kick robot ass was so exciting for me to watch for the first time as a kid, even if I knew nothing about the story yet, I was so invested and wanted to see what would happen next. I remember playing a couple matches against him, he'd always kick my ass, but it was still fun, I remember how he'd always pick characters like Hwoarang, Jin and Devil Jin, meanwhile my picks were Asuka and Jin. I loved Tekken 5 so much I basically begged my parents to buy the game for me, which is what we did when we went to a trip to Spain, played a bit of practice mode to familiarize myself with the game more, and after that, I became obsessed, I played the Story Mode several times to see the endings and stuff and it was such a joy, and made me find out my love for other characters like Feng Wei, Paul and Roger Jr. Ever since I picked Tekken 5 up, I dug deep into the series with the lore, watched The Anime movie several times and I loved it every second of it, whether it was watching the anime or playing the games. I have this memory of my cousin used to watch a Tekken AMV with the song "Bodies" by Drowning Pool, it was pure 2000's edge and we loved it. Tekken would eventually become a distant memory until 2020 and the pandemic happened and kind of fell into a hole of deep depression due to some events, and then... I picked up Tekken 4 after years of not playing it, and I was hooked again, I was feeling this childlike joy in me that I haven't experienced in a long time. Shortly after that, I picked up Tekken 7 on PC to play it online and finally found my main, Kazuya Mishima, something about him just clicked with me, his fighting style, his voice, the cool outfits he wears, I completely fell in love with him the same way I did as a kid when I first saw him, I already liked him a lot as a kid, but that was the moment I knew I found the character I loved the most, and god was that like the light in the dark tunnel 2020 was for me. I've been in love with the series again since! I'm currently playing Tekken 8 as Kazuya and Jun and I'm enjoying it a lot, honestly the most fun I've had with a videogame in years and I couldn't be happier. This video legitimately touched my soul emotionally to hear about someone who shares this very same nostalgia I do for Tekken and it hit me so hard realizing how I've been a Tekken fan for 14 years, as corny this sounds, this series has been a part of me I just can't let go for the life of me, and I wouldn't give my memories with this series away for anything else. Fantastic job on this video, you've earned my sub. You have no idea how much this video made me smile as I reminisced through my own memories and enjoyed hearing you retell your memories with it too. Thank you.
You’re extremely kind! The old Tekken AMVs were really something back in the day 😂 thanks for sharing and I’ve been enjoying the hell out of Tekken 8 too! I’m so glad it touched you and others the way it did! That was my intention, to find other people who love this silly story as much as I do! Thank you!
So I'm not the only one that's fairly sure they started with Tekken 4. Not just in the franchise, but fighting games in general. Though for me it started not at home, but at the arcade I used to bother my parents to take me to as a kid. Tekken 4 opened up a whole new world of games to me. So much so that not only are fighting games my favorite genre, but also.....pretty sure everyone that knows me personally considers Tekken a key "canon event" part of my "brand" and I can't argue. 😂
I wish I played more Tekken in arcades! There weren’t a ton of arcades where I grew up and I was lucky if they had a working Tekken cabinet😅 thanks for watchin!
This video is super well done and wholesome. I loved watching it from start to end. Jin is also my favorite too so more bias there. I subbed and hope you great success. Cheers!
@SociallDrinkerr Oh yeah I already subscribed, I really love hearing someone's personal experience with a game makes the video really hit home. I wish you luck and can't wait to see it!
I won't lie, that intro is so sweet someone started choppin onions for the barbecue.
Thank you! That credit goes to my dope editor Nate! His credits are in the description!
I actually almost cried ngl. I really do miss being a kid.
I think its really sweet that your mom's favorite character was Jun and then your favorite ended up being her son Jin.
@@StriderWolf it was destiny 🙏
“This Paul looks nothing like Paul.” Warms my heart.♥️🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Haha I think I was used to seeing his 4 Design with long hair to the sides so when I saw him with spiky hair, I was thrown off😂😂
That now applies to this design 😂
I don't even play Tekken much but I even recognize Paul looks nothing the same
Bro that Tekken 5 intro will always have a special place in my heart.
It’s a damn good one!
IM HERE NOOOOWW! IM DOING THE BEST I CAANNN!!
Wwweeeeerrrrrrrrrrrr😅 😢t😢😢😢yu y😮😅😮😮😅😅😮 sw
I legit thought I am gonna cry like an infant when -probably your momma- said ''it's too big for a ps game'' and then it was revealed it was the whole prestige tekken 4 package. Glorious days indeed
Haha that was my mom! It was a lot of fun to rediscover that video!
Why’d the intro make me cry
I almost cried as well ngl. I really do miss being a kid.
Your family is great, having your parents not only introduce you into video games but actually enjoy to play games with you is something I always wanted to with my parents. This video is great, I can't wait for more Tekken videos!
Thank you! I realize I’m luckier than most 😅 thanks for watching and there’s some good stuff coming real soon!
And thank you for the video
Thank you for sharing! It’s powerful stuff to hear that others shared similar experiences and got through the heartache. I appreciate you breaking down your experience after listening to mine!
The fact you have less than 1000 subs an this video is this well edited is downright criminal. Hope your youtube journey goes well!
Really appreciate it!!
Always nice to see a more casual take on the series every once in a while, nice vid man.
Really appreciate it! Didn’t wanna do an in-depth dive on the mechanics and lore, there’s plenty of those out there! Just wanted to talk about what it meant to me, thanks for watching!
this mans love and life experience with tekken mirrors mine so much and its just really wild for me to hear
It’s wild for me too! Hearing so many people tell me how similar they had it and how much the little things mean to them too! It makes me so happy!
Tekken means a lot of things to a lot of different people. Thank you for making this.
Thank you for watching!
Tekken 4 was my first tekken too, as one of the first videogames ive ever played, tekken is my favorite game series
Truly one of the best fighting franchises🫡
Bro the story of Tekken being within you before you were born, brought a tear to my eye. 🥲
It really was my destiny 🥲
Remember to go easy on those kids one day!😅
@@SociallDrinkerr Haha! Will do man :)
Once you get 8 I promise you will love it so much! Thanks so much for sharing!
why’d this whole video make me cry
Intro made me cry, im 14 right now and i started playing tekken when i was 10 with my cousins, every day we would play tekken, never in my life have i had so much fun, when t8 came out it made my cry
I’ve had many moments when Tekken made me cry throughout the years, out of nostalgia or from cheap bosses😂
man i cannot thank more my parents for gifting me tekken 5 in release. i also grew up playing tekken. i aleays was the shy kid that no one would like to play tekken with also. i at least experienced one every feeling you describe and ita beautiful. thank you for making this video i will come back to it when i need it youre amazing
I’m so happy it struck such a nerve with you and others! It’s why I made it. Thanks for watchin!
Tekken 4 is my favorite tekken 3 got me into it and 4 made me fall in love with the series
4 is such an underrated banger!
This video is incredible man, i basically lived tekken the same as you and i can understand how much it means to you
Thanks for watching! Glad it was able to reach you!
I started with tekken 5 when i was 3 and i loved it!The intro still gives me goosebumps
Idk if I’ll ever get tired of watching it!
Damn man, I'm crying right at the intro bruh
Haha I appreciate how many people find it so touching! I thought it’d have the exact opposite effect tbh
I’m so glad you could relate! Sparking was truly ahead of its time! Thanks for watching and sharing!
Man when you started to explain why you loved Tekken 5s intro so much I related so hard to that.
That makes me so happy to hear! Glad my weird ramblings about a video game opening could relate to others!
You just became my new favorite RUclipsr man. Great video, very heartfelt, very genuine, would love to see more dude!
You’re extremely kind! I appreciate it! We got a lot more good stuff in the works so stay tuned!
The Tekken Tag disc part really got me hahahahahahahaha
It’s happened to so many of us 😭
Such a good video, Tekken is also my childhood game, thanks!
Thanks a lot! Glad my ramblings about Tekken was able to resonate with a lot of people!
Nostalgia for Tekken, and you start it off with Kingdom Hearts music? You hooked me instantly
Gotta fit in the KH references where I can!😂
Tekken 4 was so awesome, couldn't believe it didn't sell well later in life.
Tekken 4 is kinda like the Star Wars prequels in the sense that they were very controversial at the time but extremely well regarded much later, which makes me very happy to see!
This is my favorite Tekken video on youtube
What an incredible honor! There’s a ton of great Tekken stuff out there so I thank you, truly!
I remember my memories with tekken 4 so vividly it’s insane remember looking at the intro with my dad and getting excited and jumping up and down when I saw the roster popped up and LOVED xiaoyu and Nina as a kid and was so happy when I finally beat my dads kazyua I could go on and on about Tekken 4 and my memories with Tekken in general I will always love it
I love how appreciated Tekken 4 is nowadays! Thanks for sharing and watchin!
Cool video and surprisingly touching. Great stuff.
Really appreciate it! Thanks for watching!
That intro was amazing
Thank you very much! I gotta credit my editor Nate for his hard work on this vid!
I remember being a kid and playing tekken 3 and imitate jin kazama but yeah I also remember tekken 4 because I remember the ps 2 era more vividly and the atmosphere of the game is giving me always nostalgia.
PS2 atmosphere was really something else! Thanks for watchin!
I used to fanboy over Jin's hair too ❤
I love how so many people have such fond memories of not just playing Tekken but experiencing the cinematics of it! Thanks for watchin!
You're gonna go far, kid.
Thank you! That’s the plan!
Man .....that persona 4 songs in the background made the video GOATED
Most music choices credits gotta go to my boy Nate who edits all my stuff! Mans a beast!
damn right@@SociallDrinkerr
"And that's why [Xiaoyu] will always be one of my favorites, probably my favorite girl in Tekken."
*FINALLY!* A man of absolute Tekken culture!
Xiaoyu is best girl for life😂 glad we got some other fans out here!
great video man always so cool to see the love people really have for these games
I appreciate it!! I got a lot of love for Tekken games and a lot more Tekken videos coming out soon!
I hope it's ok if I also share a bit of my story 😭
I remember my first contact with Tekken, it was Tekken 4 too 😭 I played a Demo on one of the official PS2 Demo Discs, it also included a Trailer for Tomb Raider: Angel of Darkness, TR being my other life passion that will never fade.
The demo had 2 playable characters, Paul and Christie and I used to play the hell out of it. I made up my own head canon that Paul and Christie were in a relationship 💀😂
Soon after I was strolling through our electronics store which also carried games and I saw Tekken 4, I begged my dad to buy it for me and I have played it so much. Xiaoyu was my first main gaming crush (I like dudes now so yeah)
Soon after I played T3 at a friends house, then TTT. When T5 came out I played it like every day. I even played Devil Within with a friend, the game crashed after we beat True Ogre.
For Christmas, I got a PSP with Dark Resurrection, I also played the hell out of it. I only played 6 on PSP bc I didn't have a PS3 for a long time, but I was at Gamescom when TTT2 was there and I got a small glimpse of it, the opening by this time took me out completely, I loved seeing Kunimitsu and I remember being so unbelievably hyped about COMBOT OF ALL CHARACTERS (I love Combot and I loved all of the customizations you could give it in TTT2)
When T7 came out I just started university and that's when I bought my first arcade stick bc I was convinced it would make me better 😂
I don't play T8 much at this moment bc I am a little caught up with my studies as well as my job, but believe me, one day I will change that.
Maan Tekken 5 is probably the greatest fighting game of all time tbh
It’s a definite peak in the fighting game community! Will always be one of my favs!
These are the types of videos youtube was made for. Congratulations man
I really appreciate it, thank you so much!
I started with tekken 5 and ended up finding and playing the rest of the games i absolutley love the games so much so glad i got to play it at 6 years old
If you start with Tekken at a young age, it’s hard to leave the franchise behind 😂
You triggered my nostaligia.
I forgot what it was like when old game dvds or cds would become too scratched to be used, but youd still have the case or the disc and youd look at it like "aw hell miss that"
Luckily it seems like most of us learned how to take care of our games these days 😂
That treasured memories intro at the beginning had me tearing up
Seeing it come together was emotional for me too! I don’t even remember opening the gift, if not for the video I wouldn’t know that it happened, real glad I was able to find it!
EXCELLENT VIDEO !!! Man great surprise. You RULE
Much appreciated! Thanks for watchin!
Banger video dude, I was shocked when I realised your sub count. Liked and subbed my man.
I really appreciate it! We’re just getting started over here!
Didn't even notice his sub count till your comment popped up. Wow yeah another sub and like over here as well.
@@Syeak-24 thank you! Got a lot of good stuff in the works!
I really appreciate it!
the editing quality is so good i thought you had 500k, this is a subscribe for the editing alone
I appreciate it, my editor in the description does all my videos and is the hardest working person I know! Could never do it without him, We won’t let you down!
This video is very well made , got me a little teary
This truly was a love letter to the franchise, and I thank you for putting this out there
Everyone’s got that one genre that just means everything to them. I’m very lucky to have experienced Tekken when I did. Thank you for watchin!
great video, definitely subscribed after this one

You are definitely the best upcoming RUclipsr I’ve ever seen. Keep it up, just by being you, you’re amazing
Extremely kind words! I appreciate it a lot! Thanks for watchin!
Don’t worry, man. It takes courage to be so honest on this platform. You deserved at least that much. Good luck on your next video
Your video starting with it?... damn. Right into the heart. Thank you. :3 Great video, too ^^
Really appreciate it!❤
nearly 50 minutes video with 900 views? damn this channel really is underrated
Really appreciate it! Working on getting more eyes on my channel! The algorithm was fairly kind to this one in the last 24 hours😅
I didn't get into Tekken until I heard an extended version of Kitsch Beach from Tekken 4 with wave sounds and footage of Jin and Kazuya fighting for 15 minutes, that video made me fall in love with the series!
That song is an absolute banger! Would love to see that video at some point!
The narrator and artwork was so immersive and a great choice for 4! Thanks for watchin!
This is an amazing video man! I wish you all the best and hope you're loving Tekken 8
Thank you so much! I’m loving Tekken 8 so much! Got vids on that coming soon!

Really appreciate it! A lot of credit goes to my editor Nate, we’re hoping to push 1K soon😂
Tekken 4 was my first as well. The mystery around Jin for newcomers, the atmosphere, the stages the music. Tekken 4 was built different
Truly ahead of its time!
That Devil Jin costume is epic! Your have cool ass parents!
We still play all 4 franchises til this day
Glad you enjoyed it! And I always wished I got into Killer Instinct but the franchise wasn’t doing to hot when I was growing up😅
@@SociallDrinkerr yeah they had a VERY long hiatus, but it was great to see KI3 come back. I just hate that it’s only on Xbox and PC. I have both, but I’m still pretty fond of my Nintendo consoles. I’m glad they added KI back to the Switch via SNES Online.
Sparking from Tekken 5 was my MySpace song for a few months
@@DAonYT god I wish I was old enough for MySpace, just missed it in time for Facebook😭😭

Paul and Jin were my mains too, then Hwarong.
A man of great taste I see🔥
Could have warned me about that intro. Im in tears!
Glad you could relate! Thanks for watchin!
Tekken 5 is THE best modern tekken , The early 2000s look and the characters like Christie looking like Beyonce or Lei looking like Jackie Chan during a time when both those characters were very popular, the Futuristic matrix like announcer along with the Stage designers being planted in reality really made it top notching had dynamic music as well for the first time I'm tekken series.m
*edit* Tekken 4*
The designs, character, stages; so much in Tekken 5 was absolute peak. We had no idea how good we had it
@@SociallDrinkerr I'm sorry I meant to put tekken 4 in my initial comment, but ys 5 is just as great no lies
@@yyyytttt7makes more sense looking at the Christie and Lei comment now😂😂 just so many good tekkens!

What a wholesome video. Loved it. I grew up with Tekken as well. Still playing it to this day. These days I am maining Nina in T8.
I appreciate it! Gotta love Nina just hope Anna makes her way to the DLC soon😅
Really well put video! I loved every second of this!

Great vid! Also got damn this made me feel older when you said you were born in 2000 lol. You got my sub man
Thank you so much! I got a lot of cool stuff planned for the future so I’m happy to have ya!
I also started with 4 and to me it was hands down the most aesthetic and atmospheric game on the PlayStation 2.
Is that a Braid PFP? Haven’t seen that in a long time lol and there’s just something about the music/stages/art style of 4 that is so good!
Huh... Funny how your mom ended up being a Jun main and you ended up being mostly a Jin main, quite poetic and honestly just plain badass, I do kinda wish your dad was a Kazuya main just for the sake of coincidence but yeah LMAO. Sick video!
Haha sometimes I feel the same way but you can’t change your destined main I suppose 😅 thanks for watching!
Sooo sweet. 😭 that intro. I got something in my eye. I swear Its. 😭 I am not crying YOU are !😭😭

Thank you!
Kudos to that kid , knowing every character by heart . Nice 👍..
Took years of studying but well worth it!
Ah Tekken 4, I see your a connoisseur of fine arts aswell.

Great Video
Thanks for watchin!
This was really entertaining. Subbed, hoping to see more
I appreciate it! I got good stuff in the works! Won’t let you down!
There weren’t a ton of arcades where I grew up and I was lucky if they had a working Tekken cabinet😅 thanks for watchin!
loved the video! good to know how much tekken means to a lot of people too, and i'm not even a huge fighting game player. excited for future videos!
