hi, I know that Matthew Morrison was link in hairspray, but I was trying to make a joke about Will Schuester making it to broadway... You can all stop commenting it now 🥰♥️✌🏻
*whispers* we love youuuuu
i thought it was funny 🥺
AidoPotato so did i
Amy I wanted to tell you about how in 1979 my mum went to see Les Mis in the palace (it was the first ever Les Mis west end production) and they where destroying all the signs and my mum noticed cossettes face in a skip, so she climbed in and got it and brought it home. I was at my grandmas yesterday and she gave it to me so I now have The Original Cossette Face on my wall!!!!
I’m also making a mean girls board game.
Something rotten deserves more attention
I agree
Christian Borle in eyeliner!? What’s not to love!
YES BITCH!! Also that Clue musical and Bananaman!
THANK YOU
It’s the funniest non-Starkid musical I’ve watched. It’s so good and the songs are so catchy and hilarious.
Something rotten slaps hard, I wish it would come to the uk
Niamh Bailey it was going to this year in Birmingham but then the corona hit
Definitely need that Broadway Scandals video. Need the T!
I honestly think that Something Rotten! Should come to the UK it would be AMAZING!! And the actors could use their own accents because it’s supposed to be set in England anyway and can be super campy and over the top like spamalot!
Meghan Robertshaw I love something rotten! Also nice Newsies profile pic!
I feel like it would be best to keep the American accents (if the actors can do it) because i think one of the best gags of the show is that the only person with a British accent is Shakespeare, which kinda conveys how over dramatic he is. Just my two cents
Epic Remarc unless it was reversed, and Shakespeare had a very American accent w everyone else British since he's supposed to be like this sexy celebrity type character if you get me, but then that would make me sad that hard to be the bard would be in American and Christian Boyle is just too iconic so idek
Ellie C nah everyone with northern accents then Shakespeare with a posh southern one imo
It was supposed to come this year until the corona hit
I feel like Bandstand is also kinda forgotten ?
Pls bring it back it's one of my favorite show
ikr noone talks about bandstanddd
bandstand is the best
I feel like it would be way more popular if they finally release a digital/DVD of the proshot
Bandstand is probably the most underrated musical ever
If Something Rotten came to the UK it would be on the same level as Six in terms of popularity and I stand by that.
Honesty I don’t think this is a forget musical, but it just deserves more love GREAT COMET
great comet will have it's time if it comes to the UK soon hopefully!
hell yeah REVIVE IT
I will literally fly to the UK if they perform it! I've never left the country but it's one of my favorite musicals and I'd LOVE to see it live!
Last time I was this early Ben Platt was still crying ALL THE TIME
something rotten is terribly underrated. it’s so original.
Would LOVE to see a top ten movie musicals, like Rent, The Last Five Years etc. And then up to you if you include ones like Rocketman and Sunshine on Leith
same!
ruclips.net/video/qm7kIyYYQVU/видео.html theres this one from a year back
I would LOVE the broadway scandals video!
Saame
Do a vid about the most disastrous shows! Like shows that had to close due to extreme measures :)
Please!
REEVE'S SPIDY
Summer Daisy exactly!
Sebreena Molina Spider-Man turn of the dark!
Spider-Man and Carrie would both be good contenders.
Fun Home and A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder. Back to back best musical/best score/etc winners and they’ve faded into non existence! Which sucks because, you know, there’s nothing I love more in musicals than lesbians and murder.
Spongebob the musical is so amazing. Like actually insane.
I LOOOOOOOOOVE it so much
sPiLl tHe tEa sIs profile picture checks out
I reached the bootleg version a couple of times but I’ve watched the live on stage version so many times I forgot (absolutely more that 30 times)
I was so sad Tuck Everlasting closed so early.
I wanted to see Andrew in it so bad!
SAMEEEEE
This is my favorite musical of all time 😭😭😭
I LOVE Finding Neverland. I wish I had a chance to see it live/ I hope it makes a surprising return because the soundtrack is so wonderful and amazing.
Also would love to see the video you mentioned about broadway scandals :)
I love it too! Saw it twice and I just wish more people knew about it! ✨
It was okay but rather flat
Something Rotten would be so cool in London. It’s perfect for explaining why Shakespeare’s plays are still relevant. Some of the themes in Shakespeare are perfectly conveyed through the more modern language of the show and would be a great way to explain Shakespeare to secondary school students.
Something rotten is so iconic, I mean It's hard to be the bard SLAPS
Yesss I have been OBSESSED with Spongebob the Musical recently, Ethan Slater is absolutely incredible and adorable, the whole cast is so insanely talented, I'm so happy to finally see someone talk about it!!!
I'd love a Broadway scandals video! Finding Neverland, Turn Off The Dark, etc. :D
coolness06 The Great comet Pierre casting controversy
@@MaddieMP3 Omg THAT was some tea 🍵🐸
Maddisyn WhoLikesMusicals that made me so sad ;( I loved great comet and now it’s gone waaa
Amélie is my favourite thing ever, the fact that it didn’t last very long makes me so sad. Like why you do that to Phillipa soo?
Agree!! Happy it opened in Munich so I could see it eventhough being hardly rewritten
Jessakarp it’s on at The Other Palace in the uk now!
moments like these I hate living on the legit other side of the world to England
Amelie did a UK tour. I saw it in Manchester in August and I think (dont quote me though) its playing in London atm xx
I feel like A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder has been forgotten which is so sad!
Something rotten was never forgotten in my heart omg I love it
A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder is also kind of forgotten DESPITE winning the Tony... A tragedy.
Also, YES to the scandals video.
i LOVE the tuck everlasting cast album! i can never get everlasting out of my head
Okay but some TRULY forgotten musicals are:
Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson
A New Brain
36 questions
That's it, bye 😂
A new brain is so amazing, I wish more people knew about it!
Bloody Bloody is amazing! My undergrad did it in Fall 2012 and it was phenomenal.
I would also add First Daughter Suite and Love's Labour's Lost
I LOVE a new brain so much!!!
36 Questions is great
Love Something Rotten! Wasn't one that stuck with me the first time I saw it but the cast recording made me fall in love with the show. It deserves a relisten every so often :)
Something Rotten is one of the best shows I’ve ever seen!
so jealous you saw it shaun!!
Honestly I kinda feel like Anastasia is a forgotten musical and so underrated.
I don't think it's been forgotten, Christy Altomare still makes rounds with Broadway princess party on occasion to reprise it (seen her live) and tour tickets were nearly sold out in presales in my area for it and sold out within the hour day it went on sale officially. Broadway in general is not making as much money as it used to
Tisha you right you right my bad
Scandals on Broadway? YES! I would love that!
Amy, there indeed was a US tour for Something Rotten. I saw it in San Francisco with Rob McClure as Nick Bottom. It was fantastic!
I saw the tour in Boston and the cast was so good!
I saw a regional production and it was absolutely fantastic!
Okay I agree with so much of this.
- Something Rotten is genuinely one of the funniest shows I'm aware of. The music is incredible... The cast is incredible. It is all incredible.
- Spongebob. is. so. good. The costumes and set are beautiful and inventive, the cast is INSANELY talented, and the music is so fun.
- Tuck Everlasting is SO GOOD... why does no one talk about it? It is so so so good.
I love Something Rotten, Finding Neverland, and Tuck Everlasting. Finding Neverland and Something Rotten were great to see live!
I LOVE Spongebob the Musical especially Ethan Slater I love him and it’s so underrated
where is this online video of it?
m.ruclips.net/video/E7y9aubIHLQ/видео.html
It's so much fun!
Finding Neverland will always hold a special place in my heart. I looved it so much I bought plane tickets from Spain to NYC to go see it in the summer. And they closed so I could not see it. When they announced it I was soo sad, but i could not change the plane tickets, so I bought to see Tuck Everlasting instead.
And guess what? It also closed.
I ended up watching Aladdin, which I loved, but I have this bittersweet feeling that I never got to see Finding Neverland nor Tuck Everlasting 😭
Hope they at least bring FN to London sometime so I can fly over to see it!
I saw the title for this and I was like I CAN’T SING HAS GOT TO BE ON THIS LIST!
Happy New Year Amy! I would LOVE a Broadway scandals video! Going to look in Eugenius now, thanks for the tip!
happy happy new year!!!
Finally some love for Tuck Everlasting!
Spongebob is probably one of the most underrated things i know. I mean, people just hated and they didn’t saw it. It haves awesome songs, and incredible stage, etc.
Something rotten did have a US tour, it was amazing! I had no idea what to expect and I saw it with my dad and became obsessed!
This video brought me to spongebob and now I have the soundtrack on loop...
Sooo thank you❤
Honestly Amy is such a mood! Love your vids Amy!!! They make me so happy! Love you!!! Xxxx ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜💖
oh thank you Fred!!!!
First of all; YES. Broadway scandals video please, I need it.
Something Rotten was SO GOOD. I’m sad it never transferred to the West End, because it would do well there. Unfortunately, SM:TOD was really dangerous with all their stunts, and generally not super well received, so it wasn’t gonna end well. :( Spongebob is going on tour, so I know that’s gonna kick it back up once that starts!
Can I just say Amy your awesome and I hope you have a great new year and wish you all best for 2020 from Stanley would love some acting advice
Someone the other day mentioned “In Transit” and I was like oh yeah that was a thing! I also loved “It Shoulda Been You” - it was the first Broadway show I ever saw so it holds a special place in my heart ❤️
Sarah McDowell it shoulda been you! A little but less than is my go to song for auditions
Honestly you’re such an underrated RUclipsr!!💕💕💕
oh thank you Sophie!!
I'm glad you included Something Rotten. It's such a fun, lighthearted show!
i haven't seen lots of your videos recently, because im not super into musical theatre anymore, but i need to watch your videos nonetheless, cause you have such positive and friendly vibes and i really want and need those in my life. lots of love, you are great
aww thank you for sticking around the support - its really appreciated!!
FINALLY ANOTHER FINDING NEVERLAND LOVER. AND YES PLEASE DO BROADWAY SCANDALS. THE FINDING NEVERLAND ONE IS SO INTERESTING
Something Rotten is one of my favorite shows of all time. Amelie is cute and whimsical and the music is fun, sad it didn't last long
i love your pillows! i have a beetlejuice one of my own but i would love them all
Something Rotten is so good! Also Broadway scandals....GIMMIE THAT BABY!
Happy new year! 🎉 Imo, Eugenius deserved so much better, and I’m so hoping that it does eventually get that backing for a revival 💙 I remember feeling so sad a year or two ago that Amelie seemed to be forgotten about (I found it so impactful and beautiful), but now it’s at the other palace and I can honestly say it was one of my favourite shows this year. 🤞 for the same for Eugenius!
Finding Neverland has some of the most beautiful music! And the origional cast is amazing. I also love Spongebob musical. The energy of the cast and the music is all so great
Love me some Good Girl Winnie Foster from Tuck Everlasting!
truly a classic!
Amazing I love your videos Amy ❤️
aww thank you Ella!
I really like finding neverland! I’m seeing the national tour in abt a month! I’m so excited!!!
Aww I love Tuck Everlasting!!! My theater group did it last summer and it was so fun! It holds a special place in my heart ❤️
Happy new year Amy and Eugene! Xx
happy new year Katie!! xx
How do you not have over a million subscribers? Your content is absolutely amazing and I love it
oh bless you - you're so kind, thank you!!
Amy Lovatt OMG thank you for replying I have been watching you for so long and I enjoy your content so much. I’d love to hear you sing Heart of Stone from six or Rain on my parade from funny girl
I could NEVER forget about Finding Neverland! I LOVE that musical so much and saw it twice!
Just to make you feel better, Something Rotten is being performed at just about every professional regional theatre here in the states!! It’s my fav😊
Finally domeone who knows stephen ward! I love it so much x pf love your vids btw xx
I got to see tuck everlasting before it closed and it was sooooo goooood
Ok so I saw Be more chill the OG, off broadway and on broadway and enjoyed all of it but WHAT-Eugenius?! Thank you for introducing me to my new obsession I would never have otherwise known!!
I am currently in a production of Tuck Everlasting. ❤️ I loved your list, and many of them I have never heard of!
Also, I saw Rob McClure as Nick Bottom two years ago in Something Rotten in an American National tour. His wife, Maggie Lakis, played Portia. SUCH a dream.
Finding Neverland is so gorgeous I love it so much 💕
I WAS LOOKING FOR A FELLOW THEATRE RUclipsR THAT KNOWS TUCK! That's one of my favorite books, and another pretty good musical. I was sad when it's run was cut short.
Hard to be the Bard is the one song in Something Rotten that I bop to daily, but I love the whole soundtrack
I LOVED Something Rotten! I got the change to see it on Broadway, and it was my significant other's favorite play. Ironically we also both LOVED Finding Neverland (and if you haven't done a video about it yet I would love to see that!) and constantly say we wish we could see that again. I don't remember a lot of it, but the one moment I remember vividly because it was absolutely gorgeous.
I haven't seen it so don't have a huge amount to say - probably not enough for a full video. But I spoke a lot about Finding Neverland in my Broadway Scandals video, if you want to see that :D
Yes we need the scandals video! x
Bandstand deserves more attention.
You know what show is forgotten?? King Kong. You know why?? BECAUSE THEY NEVER RELEASED THE BLOODY CAST RECORDINGS AND I WILL NEVER FORGIVE THEM
Just saw something rotten at one of the local theaters here in IL - such a fun musical!! I would love to see it get a revival. I did see that MTI is adapting it for a school/Jr version which is exciting for theater educators
Happy New Year Amy
happy new year granny!
I literally wrote a term paper about Something Rotten because I love it so much😂 And I got my elderly cat lady teacher into it which is still my biggest accomplishment ever😎
Oh my god Loserville! I loved that show because I was such a big fan of busted etc, I completely forgot about it but I remember it being so fun. Also I have been waiting for so long for Something Rotten to come to the west end. It needs to happen!!
We need that broadway tea vid Amy!!!
I've only listened to like 1.5 songs of Eugenius, but it does sound pretty similar to Be More Chill and I really wonder why I hadn't heard of it before! "Go Eugenius" is stuck in my head now! I'm going to have to listen to it.
Finding Neverland was robbed but Matthew Morrison’s accent is horrendous 😂. I don’t get why it never came to the west end when it said it was going to
ooooof yeah it took me ages to find out that he was supposed to be Scottish haha!
I saw "Something Rotten" on the US tour, and it was AMAZING! Two of the tour castmates went on to be in the original cast of Beetlejuice, which I saw in previews. Both so good and deserved better!
Now I need to check out these musicals
I just performed in tuck Everlasting this past summer and it was so much fun to be in that show it is my favorite show I have performed in
I saw Loserville, and it's a great show, but I'm not sure the title did it justice. It was taken from a Busted album called Welcome to Loserville, but that name described the songs in the album rather than the musical. I actually especially came to London to see the closing performance, and there was plenty of talk of a cast recording, but to no avail!
oh that's really interesting!!
I adore Finding Neverland so much I want to see it live!!
Didn’t even know there was a Tuck Everlasting show!! With Andrew Keenan-Bolger??? Have to check it out! I love the Spongebob Musical too! I’m happy we have a great filmed version of it. Lovely list!
5:47 I was in the ensemble of a community theater production of Tuck Everlasting last spring. Partner In Crime was such a fun scene to be in.
YES QUEEN SHOW SOMETHING ROTTEN THE LOVE AND PRAISE IT DESERVES 🎉🎉
interesting choices, I'd also throw the following into the mix - all deserving of a lot more love! leap of faith (with Lesliie Odom Jr), next to normal, catch me if you can (both with Mr Tveit), groundhog day (why was the UK run so short?), if/then, fela!, getting the band back together (love this recording), honeymoon in vegas (adoreee this score), murder ballad (probs most forgotten of the whole list!)
I went to a comic con panel a few years ago now with Warrick Davis, and the cast came and performed the main song from Eugenius, and got the hall watching the panel to sing along. Like even before the show was out, it was a very catchy tune and I had 'go Eugenius, go Eugine,' stuck in my head for ages before I could see the recording released because of the COVID.
I love Finding Neverland is SO GOOD! I am so sad I could never have seen it live! But you know this girl is listening to it non stop!
First Dates on Broadway was great! Wish it had come over to the West End!
I think bring it on and bandstand were really forgotten which sucks because I love them so much
I saw Loserville and met the late Lil Chris after. It was wonderful!! Very current and I miss it, one of the most memorable theatre experiences I’ve had!
Please do a Broadway Scandal Video! 💜🙈
Something Rotten is one of my favorite Musicals and it deserved better. Also I love SpongeBob the Musical
Something Rotten is SO under appreciated
I saw something rotten when it went on tour and it was beautiful it makes me so sad when people don’t know it
Personally a show that was truly great that's been forgotten is Carrie! (The off Broadway revival)
It's only remembered because of Riverdale, and even then, barely.
I'm so glad Christy and Derek were reunited for Anastasia and they got the recognition they deserved, but Carrie has so much raw emotion that deserved SO much more, especially since it didn't even get 50 performance (minus previews)
