    I used my 46 needle machine and 5 balls of yarn in the colour…Slate.
    Happy Knitting my friends!

    Beautiful blanket. I would be concerned that the tassels wouldn't hold up or look nice and unravel because it is roving yarn, do you have experience with having made tassels with this kind of yarn and keeping it for long term, washing-drying, etc? I was also wondering if I it would bother me that the stripes do not line up when doing the panels for the blankets but I think I need to see a bigger picture of the blanket or just try to make one myself. Thanks so much for the video and the tutorial.

    Thank you for all your valuable youtube videos and your patterns. It is because of you that I learnt how to use the knitting machines and now own all three sizes of the Sentro style machines. I belong to a knitting group that makes baby hats and blankets for hospitals and hats and scarves for out of the cold. The leader of our group, is not thrilled with my using machines rather than knitting or crocheting items as she feels that the tubes take up more yarn than just knitting or crocheting an item. We try to get donations of yarn, but we do not get much donated and each or us in the group pay into our fund, to purchase yarn that way, so I understand her concern of using up too much yarn. I love your checkered baby blanket, but it does not meet her criteria. Do you have a pattern for a flat panel baby blanket, or a measurement for downsizing your easy throw blanket that is done in a flat mode? Do you feel that this pattern, taken down in size would work for a baby blanket? I have to admit that I do not work in flat mode, so this will also be a learning curve for me, but I am sure there must be a way to make a flat panel baby blanket, although it will not be as warm a tube produced blanket. Thank you for al your hard work, it is greatly appreciated.

      I do not post revised written patterns of any of my work but once you learn the technique it would be quite easy for you to just do less rows and make a smaller blanket. I also have single layer beanies in my channel. Go to my beanie playlist and look for them. They take half the amount of yarn and maybe your leader would be happier.

At row 240 - yarn did not catch on first 5 needles... five stitches😵‍💫🙀😡😡😡 I will look for answers to this problem. Found one on "how to reverse". May try lifelines??? Hard to work on fixing on machine because of hand tremors. May leave it for a few days. Any suggestions?

    • @koalaknitsandknacksaddicrochet
      @koalaknitsandknacksaddicrochet  Год назад +1

      You could just take the work off each of the needles, one needle at a time and drop down the row to below that missed stitch and then pick them up with your crochet hook as you do a tucked stitch. Don’t reverse. Just do it on the next round.
      If it is way down your panel fix it when it’s off the machine. I have a video on my channel… how to fix a dropped stitch once your work is off the machine.
      Click on videos and scroll quite a ways down. You will find it.

      to use waste yarn for the first few rows ensures 2 things ; it secures the stitches of the very first row, secondly if ever working a hem which means we want an edge that does not roll +usually will take 5 -7 rows + it is the nature of the beast they call it. stockingnette stitch is the end result of knitting like this verses > handknitting ; to do a hem is a more finished look , double the edging to at least 1 & half inches to 2 inches picking up those stitches identified by waste yarn { For ex. @ inch of knitted fabric = 5 stitches do you want a two inch hem? 10 rows doubled 20 rows < ultimately use the row above the last row of waste yarn to connect with that 20th row ,you may even complete this as you knit by pulling the first one done @ beginning row to the current one & knit them together

    On my CSM machine, I pull the waste yarn off from the last row next to the panel. You simply find the loose end and pull up a loop from the opposite end (like a gathering thread) until the loose end comes through. Then the whole waste yarn portion comes free from the panel. You can then unravel it easily and wind it for reuse. Looks like it would work for these machines too. I haven't tried it. My Addi is being shipped, can't wait. Enjoying your videos while waiting.😊
