Zell's limit break really packs a punch, he deals a lot of damage. He can do more damage than Squall if the timer is long and you're fast. For Rinoa I keep only strong spells with her [Triple, Ultima, Meteor, Aura]. If stored and junctioned correctly, she will only use Meteor after activiting Angel Wing on the opponent, and deal 9,999 damage each time.

I'd like to know why she wants to destroy the world, as in why did she become an evil sorceress to begin with? There are hints she was unjustly oppressed in the past due to her sorceress abilities, which led her to instigate a rage-fuels rampage that left her as the sole ruler of her era.
Shes basically a throwback to Garland, having unwittingly created a looping chain of events that directly and indirectly would've led to her persecution and attempt at time compression, the moment she made Edea inherit her power
the other night i was playing this with my 6 year old cousin next to me while starting the game, long story short he said "but why would you want to junction youre girlfriend?" rofl.

so i've heard. Maybe one day I will master zell's. I'm doing another play through right now. And going to try and mix it up a little this time and see what happens. I think I saw one guy put a youtube video up where he was fighting omega weapon using zell's limit break and he beat him using nothing but zell's limit break, he kept hitting him over and over until he blew up.
this was a piece of cake for me. When I first got into battle, she chose one party member with GF's and the other two with nothing but attack and I still beat her first form. all I did was use Eden on her once or twice and ended it. Eden can do over 30plus damage. Then when I fought her griever, i let the other two characters die off and get absorbed and had the other two GF characters, I didn't even have to use lionheart limit break but only once.

any tips on how can I make my party as strong as this one? because my average damage to an enemy is around 5 or 6K. and they can only inflict those damage to a specific kind of attack. tips would be much appreciated.
Just cast Aura then Holy War (Or Holy War Trial) on team, meltdown on Ultimecia then limit break the entire thing. Usually takes me 7minutes using this method
I don't use Irvin that much, he only uses up ammo on his limit breaks but I heard his AP ammo is pretty descent. Yea I have to learn how to use Rinoa better when it comes to her limit breaks. I haven't mastered hers. I've only mastered squalls and quistis and selphie.
I hope that they remake Final Fantasy 8 with better graphics, leave everything the same, but just up the graphics, that way we can have better looking fights and still enjoy the classic epicness of the best Final Fantasy of all time.

it's all about strategy, you dont really have to use Aura on her, I just used Auto haste on all 3 characters with the accelerators I had and Holy War and Eden is all you need. Cuz Eden does over 30 plus damage when you boost it up to 250 and I was using Cacutar cuz it was dealing 10,000 damage each time and she went down.

I personally prefer Limit Breaks, especially Zell's, Rinoa's [after she becomes a sorceress, if you know how to manipulate] and Squall's. The limit breaks are enough to finish the whole fight really quickly. Irvine's not bad, but he depletes your inventory right? [correct me if I'm wrong, I don't usually use his limit break]
i remember the first play through i beat ultemicia up to her last form with just squall alone. everyone else accidently died. it was hard as hell and i lost anywyas...... damn apocalypse. xD
@tedds1000 I would usually junction Ultima to th STR stat and use a STR boost GF I forget which one and use meltdown or doomtrain on her ass to reduce her DEF to 0 ... Spam out Aura spells and she'll die in about 30 mins XD if anything you'll just be impressed with the level of effort that went into the final boss for FF8 :P hope this helps

I remember beating her at 4 am in the morning. I called my brother, waking him up from his sleep to brag :) This game is unmatched until this day!

Zantetsukenification dude just get your gf to learn str+ at a low level then whenever you level up equip it and it will max it out quickly

I love all ff games apart from 13 and 13 2. But 7 was the game that blow me away and 8 came along and just beat it.but 6 and 9 are both amazing games.
