chibbs1975: thanks for your hard work i love my 2017 F-450 platinum i had to wait over 4 months to get due to an axle shortage i was also told by dealer recently that the 2017 450 platinums were made in such a low volume this year they are almost as low # as the mustang gt350. that should help my resale value down the road!

Big Truck Big RV don't know if you remember me, but I commented on a previous video of yours and corrected you about the LED fog lights. You were under the impression that they were an option separate from the LED headlights. I informed you that if the truck had LED headlights it would have LED fog lights as well. My Explorer Sport has both LED headlights and fog lights and love them.

I have 2000 miles on my truck like yours and it's my first ford. I love this truck! I always wanted one of these since ford first introduced the four door dually. At 60 years old, I decided it's now or never, so I took the plunge. All I pull is a 16 foot utility trailer and small tractor, but who cares, I WANTED this truck. I'm impressed so far. Keep up the good work on the vids !

I knew it would not be very long before you actually bought it. This is more you style. When you were listing the features you wanted, i was thinking 2017 platinum or King Ranch. Beautiful truck. Congratulations
I added tint with high UV block to my 2017 F350. When I took my wife on the initial break in trip she cooked. There is a lot more glass in the F350 than our prior 2014 F250. I even added clear tint with UV block to the windshield. Saved us on our OK to CA camping trip this summer.
Truck has many nice upgrades. Love the extra cameras, where the upfitter switches are, DEF gauge, cup holders and LED lights. Not crazy about the steps unless you can extend them with doors closed to wash them. I love my 16 lariat F450, but I understand why you traded in. Not crazy about the AC vents, I love my round vents. Tire possibilities is probably the best reason to go with the F350.

I love the color and, frankly I'm glad that you didn't get the chrome package. That chrome panel across the back with "King Ranch" strikes me as garish. The Caribou is a much classier appearance IMO. The fuel and DEF tank capacity is an enormous improvement. You've gotta be loving that beast!!

Boy howdy. I'm blown away by the options available. Like I said before, Ford has come a long way. I'm particularly impressed by the fact that in some ways it surpasses the 450. If I had the use (or money for that matter) I'd definitely spring for this model.

I was at a local ford dealership today and I got to sit in and walk around some 2017 Ford super duty’s. Unfortunately I couldn’t sit in a platinum or king ranch because they were locked but I got to sit inside some of the XL and XLT models. I think they come pretty well equipped even for a base model. I’m only 16 and I really want a super duty or an f150. Overall I really like the 2017 super duty. Best truck on the market!

Just a beautiful truck! Now I've got the bug to upgrade from my 2012 King Ranch F350 to a new one. However, I might wait for the 2018 models to come out. That being said, I still love my current truck and have no complaints.

It's a very nice truck and I understand the issues with the F450 but the look of the F450's you can't beat. I really want to upgrade to the 2017 but the 2012 F250 is paid for! Take care and I look forward to future videos.

Can't wait to hear your thoughts on the trailer TPMS. My dealership went above and beyond to fix something I don't think FORD gave a lot of thought too on how the bumper plugin does not work for a fifth wheel set up. Mine works fine now but it took a while getting there. BTW...I've been a GM guy for over 20 years but very much liking my F 350 King Ranch SRW

Lovely looking truck. That paint colour and the leather trim colour combination make it look really classy. Lots of tech though, and while it maybe great in the short term, I can't help thinking that in 10 years time, it's gonna be a big bag of expensive problems for someone. Still love it though.
Super nice truck my friend!! I'm sure the Ford dealership you bought the truck from would install that tailgate panel if you told the you wanted to buy and have one installed. I agree with you that tailgate panel does look awesome and I think it would be worth having one installed.

The camera really doesn't do that color justice but in person that two tone is pretty sharp. Also if you're going to put ranch hand bumpers on it you should've just got the chrome package to get the tailgate panel.

It's crazy how trucks have become luxury vehicles. I have a fully loaded 05 Chevy Colorado. Fully loaded meaning power locks, windows and mirrors. Not even a temp gauge.

My '17's a close brother...a fully loaded Lariat DRW, PSD - same color, just w/o the extra cameras. What I miss from my '16 is the wider front axle and 4:30 gears. I tow a #19K toy hauler and wish I could have gotten those two items. Very nice truck sir..

My 14 Ram 3500 had pressures for all 6 tires. It also allowed more flexibility on rear tire pressure, instead of max pressure of 65 psi required by the Ford to keep the TPMS light off
The amount of features offered by Ford exceeds what Ram has to offer. I'm happy I switched to Ford

I saw in the video they were roughly 65 psi. Now that you have them at 55 psi, is your tire pressure warning light on?
Yeah I have a Laramie Longhorn Ram 2017 w/Aisin DRW and it has pressure for all six as well. No massaging seats though. Haha.

How does the engine pre-heat work on the diesels with the keyless start now? Has Ford moved away from having to ignite the glow plugs before turning it over? Can you explain that in one of your next technical videos and maybe compare that to what GM or RAM do related to glow plugs for keyless diesel starting?

You don't have to be a millionaire to buy a 80k truck. Good credit and decent income goes a long way. He earns it, he can spend it any way he wants.
Yep vey nice rig. But the 17" wheels, but actually are the best for your needs. But the smallish tires and wheels look funny in the big wheel openings! What is the square gizmo with diagonal slits between the Nav screen and air outlet?

I notice your helper spring has about 1.5" of space before it makes contact , my 17 250 has double that which means I have to put around 2000 lbs in the bed before they touch. I would rather have them closer like yours to help with squat. My 1500 lb pin weight doesn't even touch the helper springs unless I hit a dip in the road.
The point you brought up about only Ford dually pickups having the tire monitoring system is incorrect. I have a 2015 Ram 3500 dually and my pickup in facts has the monitoring system on all six tires. You bought a Beautiful truck. I wish you good luck and I look forward to watching you videos.

This is a great truck! One thing I wish you had covered in more depth was all the trailer towing information that is available on the info display. One thing I haven't figured out yet in my truck is, the truck has the capability to monitor trailer tire pressure on the info display, but I haven't figured out what I need to get to utilize this function. I'm not sure what tire pressure transmitters are compatible and where do I get them and how do I pair them with the truck. Maybe it's in the book somewhere, but I haven't gotten to it yet. There's just so much info available to the driver, it's almost info overload.
Would love to see the safe. Also funny how you didn't want the chrome bumpers. Never a fan of the expense of the "chrome package", but have been pining for the day I could get chrome bumpers again on my King Ranch and the aluminum tailgate piece. Painted bumpers look so, XL to me. Also holds up better than paint to rocks/bugs, etc. Guess that dates me but I don't care. I say more to chrome especially for the money I pay for these, I should have more choices...don't get me started on the lack of side moulding, having to buy it, and then only getting it for half the truck... :)

The guys over at Fast Lane Truck have some what of a difference opinion of the 2017 Ford Super Duty , you should go take a look, the Ford came in last in their HD Ike Gauntlet Review, they were surprised that the Ford struggled to tow the 23000 lb load as fast as the Ram and Chevy did.
You stated that only ford offers tpms? My 2017 Ram 3500 DRW has this for all wheels as well. And that's just tradesmen trim level too. Nice truck though! Enjoyed the video.

Why didn’t you guys with the 17 F450? I’m trying to get my wife to consider a new 2020 F450 to tow out Bighorn 39MB. The new 10 speed transmission helps the truck pull great.
Amazing truck! So are you saying that you can't get the high capacity tow package with the wide-trac F450 front end on the 17 F350 like you could on the 16? If so, I wonder why it was dropped.
I wish they made the LED lights standard on all trims because the front end of the XLT is really ugly with the standard bulbs.
