The Last Faith feels like a Castlevania game, but there are few things that I don't really like; 1. Every characters have same abilities, same look and the same starting weapon. Only thing that differ them is their stats. But that isn't big deal in gameplay because we can Upgrade those stats easily even before we complete a 10% of the game. (I collected more than 20k of money in the first 10% of the game) 2. Sometimes the controls doesn't respond correctly. I don't know if this issue occurs only in the PC version. 3. The game doesn't pause when we press "ESC" button.
Playing v1.5, they changed some things - each class starts with different gear(brawler gets the axe, rogue the sword, stargazer gets whip+(force)lightning, marksman gets sword+pistol and ammo for it). Edit to add: playing on pc(m+k), it's usually the platforming that sometimes misbehaves, climbs bit better now, respec is available after giving the teacup, and pauses when esc is pressed(that, or I tend to pause between fights, not sure).
Last faith is excellent but blasphemous is so much more polished. The movement is the best in any Metroidvania. The fighting is pretty comparable but the movement sets it apart.
While last faith's music isn't bad at all, blasphemous has excellent one, both 1 and 2 (voyage of promise track, made for the crossover with bloodstained, is perhaps the best one for both games).
@@scragglie I don't think you're going to change anyone's opinions and preferences here, bud. You enjoy the games that you play and people like different games then you, it ain't that deep.

The combat moves are slightly better in Last Faith, but honestly I prefer Blasphemous 1, the atmosphere and the story are great. Blasphemous 2 disappointed me, and I found it more frustrating and difficult.
I found Blasphemous 1 to be a little more difficult than B2. The only problem I had was maybe about 2-3 hours on Eviterno’s fight, but overall there was a lot more struggle in B1, even if you searched a lot and did a bunch of exploring to try and get ahead you couldn’t do very much to help yourself out (unless you got Debla of the Lights) But you’re right on one thing though. B2 feels disappointing, somehow. Personally, it felt like the story and some of the places and atmosphere were overall not as striking as B1, plus the NPCs weren’t all as memorable or crazy as the first game. It makes me sad though, since a lot of the ideas they had were cool - just not as amazing as the first game
@@baguettebeefs2846 yeah i had my expectations low but to say that B2 is a disappointment is surely a stretch some people really just dont know how to rate sequels properly

So out of the two which is better? I just beat Blasphemous 2 and enjoyed it more than 1. However Im holding off on last faith bc the demo was kinda meh but the reviews seem to say its good?
TLF is defenitly not a blasphemous ripoff it's a completely own game with unique characters enemies bosses and world building of course it is inspired by other games and this is great it doesn't even only take inspiration from blasphemous but also from dark souls (weapon upgrade and level system) and bloodborne (gothic world and NPC design)
@@scragglie I actually prefer TLF because of the vast variety of weapons that have their own unique skills. I think comparing Blasphemous with TLF does a disservice to both games because Blasphemous is story oriented and is more focused on lore and hard level design, while TLF is more combat focused and focused on being a weapon power fantasy. Play TLF if you want badass weapons and play Blasphemous if you want hard level design and a great story. I still think both are great in their own ways.

Blasphemous series have stronger atmosphere. The last faith feels more alive because the protagonist can talk. I hope they all make remastered with affordable requirements.
The Last Faith I'd say. Yes, Blasphemous has amazing platforming and combat, but it really misses out on the souls characteristics. You get only 3 weapons, but each gets their unique skill tree. You CAN make some builds of sorts in B2, but not to the level of TLF, which sticks to the souls formula.
@@issi529 you gotta admit the game has a bigger variety of weapons. I am not trying to say that since ER has more weapons it's better, since most are very bland and perform badly, for example. I absolutely agree with you. I'm a fan of the first part, and I was also really looking forward to the second part. It was disappointment. The mobs and enemies are boring and repeat from location to location just with a new color, the bosses are not interesting and do not have a cool move set. The design of everything has completely degraded, including the NPCs. Game lost it’s brutality and atmosphere. The only pros I can mention are the music and weapon upgrades. Last faith, on the contrary, was very surprising. A variety of enemies, long-range and short-range weapons. interesting and detailed pixel drawn locations. For me, Blasphemous 2 was as much of a disappointment as Last Faith was a success.
The only thing i don't like the last faith is repeatly boss themes. Like there's no variation or unique piece of music. In blasphemous is unique, cause they added for each region and bosses great music.
The Last Faith is better, but the first Blasphemous is better than The Last Faith. I just like the medievil look and the religious undertones to that game. For me, the sequal to Blasphemous is a bit disappointing. Is still a nice game but it's still feels a bit of a downgrade to the first game. Less challenging, far less details in the enemies designs, the weapons are not that great and the story is not as good as the first one. It feels that there was less effort was put into the sequal. I still enjoyed it, but I was expected more.
How Blasp 1 is better makes no sense...The first Blasp is not really a metroidvania. The 2nd blast is a metroidvania and the first 1 is not. Blasphemous 2 was WAYYY more enjoyable than 1. 1 Was just a time consuming mess...being able to travel from each save point was sorely needed in the first one.. I dont have 50 hrs to play a game.
