Newjeans have really nice choreo in general so I recommend doing dance practices reactions for the future. Specifically music awards practices like MMA 2022 and MMA 2023, they include dance breaks and solo performances, you could react to the original performances too but I’m not sure they wouldn’t be blocked
My favorite part of the reactions is when you get to the latest release :)

How Sweet has been on repeat in my playlist the last few days. Bubblegum is up there but I gravitate towards How Sweet cuz of the hip-hop, swaggy foundation of it.

I heard a theory that says that the story behind how sweet is like an ugly duckling story line, that people around them are uninterested by them and that is why they pass them by or they just stand there looking at them, and that that was like they were “leaving the flock” like in the lyrics it said leaving a relationship, and that it showed that the change was good. The theory also talked about how the bubble gum was more like the artificial and temporal sweetness of starting a relationship, and that how sweet was more like the necessary leaving of the relationship and how it was a healthier sweetness (based on the repetitive line of biting an apple).

How sweet is 'miami bass' a clubland derivative of 90s rnb and hip hop... you may have heard 'ghost town DJs - my boo' which is probably the most famous 'miami bass' song.. if not give it a listen to ( in your own time of course) its instantly one of my fave newjeans songs because i was a huge fan of miami bass back in the day (im showing my age ;P) theres theories going round that this is actually about their situation with HYBE ... they are in a literal 'car crash' moment right now looking for help and a way out.. the animals i think is representing the world watching the situation and all the lyrics are about 'leaving' and not wanting drama.. the toxic lover (hybe) dont come to my door :O ... hybe are also deleting comments and region blocking the official video on youtube which also adds substance to this theory. anyway on a more positive note i love how for the first time they have let them sing in their deeper tones especially minji and haerin... they have only done the light soft airy angelic vocals until now..
Yeah bubbegum is defintely a 'different' song for newjeans... for the most part they stick to 5 different yet similar 90s genres... 90s rnb, and the club sounds of mainstream uk garage, jersey club, miami bass and drum and bass... bubblegum has an 80s citypop sound but it also has enough of an rnb sound to fit their usual pattern.. but yes.. its a different sound to the ones they usually use.
I love these two songs. They're very chill and calming. I listen to a lot of experimental and noise music because those are some of my favourite genres so these types of chill songs balance out my playlists.

I highly recommend that you watch their pre-debut covers. Each member has 2 covers, one on the YG channel and the other on their official channel. Their songs are good but do not show the extent of their talent.@@fydrau
