You both sound like angry woke activists who see western civilization and Judeo-Christian principles as the ‘great oppressor.’ Yes, every culture has it’s bad side because it’s part of living in a fallen world but my question is, what can be inherently wrong with a group of nuns teaching girls how to be decent, productive citizens (reading, writing, literature, how to sew and cook, etc.) so they don’t wind up in the bawdy houses?
SLAP Galatians 3:1 Pastor Nat Crawford describes the accusation of being a fool that Paul levels at the Galatians as a slap in the face. Not that slap of insult or injury, but one of ‘wake up!’ When Paul confronted Peter for being mindful of what people think (the Judaizers) over the truth, grace apart from Law, the same slap applied. (Galatians 2:11-18). I can imagine Peter being caught up in elevation, acceptance, and comfort; being finally accepted up His own people, beyond a mere fisherman - forgetting that acceptance by the LORD matters most. It’s a human thing, pride sneaks up on us all. Do you need a wake up slap? Remember whose you are and say centred.
