I just love this fall wreath. You taught me several things today. One was to not be afraid if your leaves or whatever your putting in the wreath when your making it sticks up to far and always bend them in the way you want them to go. Some of the others I've watched says not to put them to where the leaves or flowers come very high off the grapevine wreath. Today yours were standing pretty high above the wreath and they were beautiful. When I followed their tutorials they always came out looking flat and almost like it was dead and certainly not pretty. I hope I'm explaining this so you can understand what I'm trying to say. When you finished that fall wreath today it looked so pretty and the colors were beautiful. I'm going to follow your teaching I saw today and not be afraid to try putting those branches or flowers where I want them and it's ok if they stand up to the top of the wreath vine. I loved the way you placed everything and yes it was above the edge of the grapevine wreath. It was so pretty. Thank you for taking the time you do to explain how to do what you did today if you want a beautiful wreath when your finished. I was about to just give everything away and give up. After watching you today I know that's the last thing in the world I want to do.Thank you for using your gift for making beautiful things and helping old folks like me (I'm almost 80 years old) to enjoy learning how to do this craft. I'm so grateful to you Lori. I'm sorry this is so long but I hope I got my point across. God Bless you and your family.
Hi Judy! I completely understand what you’re saying and never give up. I always tell my students and followers that there are no rules to wreath making. If something looks good to you then go for it. I actually love putting my sprays and flowers in the grapevine this way and it’s pleasing to the eye. I’m always here to help if you have any questions and I think it’s so sweet that you’re making wreaths at almost 80 years young. God bless you and I appreciate your sweet comment. Thank you, Lori.
Hi lori I love it! I just got started working on building me a small business at home this week. I already have 5 wreaths sold to family and I haven't even got them all made. I guess they have confidence in my ability to do these. I just told my husband I wanted to make this and he said it looked to expensive to make. I said it's not. Thank you for doing these video's to give amateurs to try there hands at this.
Hi Lori what a lovely wreath with the gorgeous colours of fall. The ribbons match perfectly and are great colours. Thanks for sharing. Have a great day.
Beautiful! Watching you use that electric skillet reminded me of what I used to do. I recently came upon some bags of hot glue that is like pellets. I used to melt it on an electric burner with an old pan. A few years ago I purged some of my craft stuff (dumb) so I sold that burner in a garage sale! I sure would like to come upon another one! My daughter got married in June, and II made 32 centerpieces for the reception. I never really did anything like that, but somehow I started watching Reina Moe's DIY on You Tube. I learned so much from her, and other gals. I bought most of my supplies from Dollar Tree and thrift stores. I literally spend hours at night watching several gals crafting. Thank you!!!
Wow that is a lot of centerpieces I love to watch others too that is why i decided to do it. I was missing a lot when they skipped things so i thought i would do it so i could explain it all. I love to craft. It is my happy place
Thank you, Melodye. Hope you make it good luck. It’s super fast and so easy to make. So, many choices. So, glad you have enjoyed the tutorial. Don’t forget to like and share. Thank you, Lori.
Oh you are so sweet Marsha and I’m happy you loved the grapevine. I also did respond to your email so please let me know that you received it and check your spam folder. Thank you so much, Lori.
I like how you think outside the box. You can turn the wreath to the right with the bow at the top and leaves to the left and right also. There are so many things you can do with grapevine wreaths. I am ready for fall already.
I love all that you make. Everything is so beautiful. I would like to see you show how to make a grapevine wreath with a lighthouse theme and also a ladybug theme. I love the grapevine wreaths as they are easier for me to work with. Thank you so much... Love your tutorials!!!!!!!
Ty so much! I'm new as new can be to making wreaths, but watching you encouraged me! What beautiful work, and you explain it so wonderfully. I'm going to try and make my 1st one tomorrow 😮!! When you get a chance, can you please share about which glue and pot you were using and the set up. For now I'll use my glue gun. God bless you!!
Have you ever made a swag and bow for all the holidays (seasons)and then used the same grapevine wreath to change out for the seasons? I thought about doing this and then you could just wire on the swag and the bow without having to make separate wreaths every everytime.
Absolutely when i do something like that i will attach everything to a base that i can tie down and remove, such as a dowel or paint stick something along those lines. It really does save time and money. Burlap wreaths are great to do that with as well
Hello Phyllis! You are so welcome and I really appreciate your kind words. I love teaching and it makes me very happy to know that you have learned so much from watching my videos. Please remember sharing is caring and to subscribe. Thank you, Lori.
I love all your wreaths. I have a strange question what do you hang all the finished wreaths on the walls with? I have to get my completed wreaths up and away from my cats. Do you use nails or 3M hooks?
Thank you, Joy, it is a fiskars Extra-large 18 inch x 24 inch Cutting Mat . You can get it here smile.amazon.com/Fiskars-Piece-Rotary-Cutting-Set/dp/B000B7K9UI/ref=sr_1_57?ie=UTF8&qid=1503233824&sr=8-57&keywords=fiskars
Hey Lori!! That wreath is so beautiful!! I noticed that you have a patriotic wreath on an easel in the back ground. Did you record that as well? I don't see it here. Is that the wreath that Julie made? If so, can you tell me where to get that metal sign "God bless America" that you used? Thanks so much!! Have a blessed day!
Hey Donna Thank you. Yes that is the wreath from June I think. I love that group because it challenges me to do wreaths that are different from my normal. That month was easy though because i do deco mesh a lot. I got the sign from Carolina Pottery. I did not do a video on that one but i do have one that is similar it is patriotic as well. It was one of my first videos.
Hello, I just came across your video's. I watched 2 so far and really like your way of doing the wreaths. I do wreaths also but there is always room to improve and learn more. Thank you for sharing your talent. I do have a ? about your glue pot. Do you use regular glue sticks to melt or is there a special kind of glue you have to use? I do have some older electric skillets that I could use. They work but they are older and I thought they may work for the glue. What is your thought on this. Thanks again.
Thank you, Tamera, I feel the same way, I love to watch others because you never know when you will pick up a great tip. I use regular glue sticks and I am sure your older skillets will work. It does not have to be real hot about 250 and they will melt. If it smokes just turn it down to warm
I need your advice what kind of wreath can i make for a hockey that they were in an accident and lost 15 players please help my son's 3 friends were on that bus he is greaving on the team and his 3 friends please please help
Nancy Gaudreau oh how awful I am sorry to hear that. Are you wanting to make one for the funeral home or the family? You could make a wreath with hockey pucks or flowers are always good for grief. What colors were the team color? You could make something with those colors. My prayers for all those grieving
