      Kobe played ball outside of the suburbs of Philly in lower Merion he was born in west philly wynnefield section philly moved to Italy where his dad played overseas when he was around 10 or 11 then moved back and play for Lower Merion not to far from wynnefield on the main line

      Jerome pooh Allen, he went to the league, created a cross over that was credited to god shamgod years later , had a great NCAA career with a ivy league school, and is a playground legend in philly yes pooh allen

    Kobe is not from Philadelphia....Lower Merion....kind of close, not walking distance to the city....from the Philadelphia area, did not play in Phillly at any time except practices...maybe playgrounds?

    Tee Parham replaces Kyle Lowry and Yolanda Laney, Marilyn Stephens and Linda goes in front of Dawn Staley. Dawn Staley is the most accomplished female basketball player out of Philadelphia, the other female basketball players weren't afforded the same opportunities. In high school and college they were great.

    A six foot guard is not going to lead u anywhere. It's good pr for basketball to have guys of all sizes excelling. Trust me if Lowry had tried to make a layup in the 60s or 70s u wouldn't even foul him, just knock it down his throat. Kc Jones or Al styles prevent Gary Payton.
