Assassins Creed Revelations was very emotional and bittersweet. I played the Ezio games back to back and at the ending tears suddenly shot down my face. As I wiped away the tears watching the credits I thought to myself. Yeah that’s how you finish a story.
That clip where the world ends and a woman has a baby, I can't, I almost cry every time even though it's only a couple minutes I feel so bad for those people, and it's not far off from reality and people who suffered in our recent history
A very beautiful Reflection. Assassin's Creed: Revelations is my favorite AC game and mainly for all the reasons you expressed in this video. It is a game that was made with respect and care for the characters, the story and the fans, and that is what makes it work. AC Revelations doesn't need to be revolutionary in terms of mechanics, it needs to pull off its story and the conclusion of iconic characters well, and that is what it does, perfectly, I would say. AC Revelations has a nice setting and i loved exploring the tombs. But the ending. I loved the ending, very emotional for me. I think it's the best ending of all the AC series. Only the Black Flag ending gave me the same emotions.
You can transform the hookblade grab into a throw by mashing the same button during the animation, allowing you to open any encounter with an instant ground stab to start a killchain offensively (Almogavers are immune). Revelations brought back the four defenses system from AC1, this time using dodge, counter kill/disarm, counter knockout, and counter steal conveniently bound to the four face buttons so you no longer have to carefully watch animations, memorize obscure contexts, and awkwardly mash out inputs. Different enemy types are vulnerable to different counters, and some are so heavily armored they resist chain kills with all but the heaviest or most difficult to acquire weapons. Each faction has unique enemy types, making them distinctive from each other to fight Ezio's jump range was nerfed to compensate for the extended range of catch ledge, making the total distance you can cover the same as ever
AC Revelations is the ending trilogy also both Ezio and Altair said iconic speech "I have seen enough for one life" Mark the end of the best game I have ever played.
Its interesting to listen someone speak so lovingly about game that dissapointed you. For me Revelations was the beginnig of an end of Assassins Creed and I didnt enjoy that game very much. It was the first game in the series i played only once. Now I have a different perspective and may return to this game again. Thank you for that!

I didnt love Istanbul as much as the italy games gameplay wise, but the general idea in closing the ezio/altair arc was just brilliant and emotional. I will never forget the scene with altair at the end. Do you know assassins creed embers? Its a shor5 movie about Ezio after revelations. The last sentences are just insanely good written.
I do know about Embers! I think it’s a nice little end cap to Ezio’s story, but even if someone never watches it I think Revelations is just as good of an ending.
Just finished a replay through ezio trilogy on my ps5. My only 2nd time beating revelations. It felt so much shorter than i remember. Sadly compared to 2 it def was a breeze. I wish we could have gotten more. Hopefully mirage will be good.

There is! It's short animated movie that's like 20 minutes long. It always felt like more of afterthought than an actual ending to his story. This is definitely feels like what they want to be acknowledged as the true ending.
Assassin's Creed Embers is the name of it. Overall, it's okay but Ezio's little speech at the end reflecting on his life is absolutely fantastic, and it's one of my favorite moments in the franchise.
Yes, Assassin's Creed is meant to be philosophical. And this is the best part about Revelations. After Revelations most games completely overlooked this part.
Unpopular opinion but i think assassin's creed revelations is the best out of the trilogy easily. It has the best gameplay, Constantinople is way more alive and colorful, it doesn't overwhelm you with too much stuff to do , better variety for the mission, way better dialogue and interactions between characters, good story and i liked a lot how it was connected with altair's story
The reason its a perfect ending is simply that, you are witnessing a Journey, a Journey of a man who wants to put an end to a secret war, going from novice to grand master, someone out for revenge then fighting for something more than just revenge, then a hunt for an old secret, Altair's secret. But lets reel it back a bit, in AC2 at the end, Ezio is told that he is merely a message carrier, he doesn't know what it means, Desmond shat bricks. By Brotherhood its all about rebuilding the brotherhood and securing the apple of Eden, Revelation is a tale from Ezio to Desmond, for at the end, Ezio came to terms that he himself is merely a conduit to deliver a message, learning the truth of another piece of eden and the thought there are more, Ezio Desmond, comes to terms that the war will not stop in his life time, but a war that may go on forever, a vicious cycle, so Ezio ask Desmond to keep going, while Ezio himself has grown tired and weary. We didn't experience the story of someone with great ambitions, we witness a journey of loss and pain. I am sorry for monologuing but I will end it now, Assassin's creed 2, we experience a novice in training, by Brotherhood, we have a veteran turned mentor, by Revelation, we have a grandmaster, never once is the experience broken, game and story integration.

@@solidvick Well I will, I did forget to mention when Ezio started talking to Desmond, I was not using the internet much and knew nothing about the game but when I saw Ezio sort of indirectly talking to Desmond, I shat bricks, and if I was in Desmond's shoes, I would shit bricks enough to build a lighthouse, it was terrifying. sure we get similar stories later in the series but Connor doesn't fill that and I think it be better for Connor to get additional games to make up for whatever 3 was because that was a glitchy mess. Edward is ok, a man with a thirst for riches, all his friends died and in his pursuit for money lead him to no where but pain and maybe death. Yet Edward came to terms that there are bigger opportunities, he no longer consider himself a pirate but as a father and late husband. This impact saids a lot in the credits when Edward is sailing back to England, it is insane. We will never get similar stories ever again.

Im actually working on a vid about Connor so I’ll leave my thoughts about him for that.👀 Also really enjoy Edward’s arc in 4 and the ending is near perfect in my opinion. It’s melancholy, but in a happy way. I like endings that are a little somber, but still have a glimmer of hope and happiness.

But not a perfect ending for Altier, who had fragments of a missing story, with a villain that comes out of nowhere. And Desmond's no where near got an "ending" in revelations. Barely has any story even. It's only a good ending for ezio. And ezio was never the protagonist of assassins creed. I miss when these games were new, and people understood that Desmond was the protagonist. Revelations isn't an ending, it's a prelude to AC3, that wraps up Ezios story.

Im so anal about my notoriety i only had to do the defense game once in the initial playthrough of the storyline and it was frustrating that theres no posters and noteriety man only appears when youre past 25 percent and i couldnt make it zero most of the time

I was replaying AC1 a few days ago and l'll replay it soon after replaying AC2 and Brotherhood.

Desmond's sections were never more than 30-40 minutes of the game. Its not hard to see why he's not the main draw.
