@@ianfingerman5150 yeah it’s a great set but certainly overpriced at full RRP but it does go on sale now and then, certainly in the UK
@@Av-vd3wk it’s a very cool set, just overpriced at full retail but could be a set Lego never do again, at least not for many years anyway
The Landspeeder is actually a REALLY good building experience. As it comes together there's nothing hollow, just a solid dense build.
I will probably try and get it again before it retires, especially if it gets a good sale again at Argos🙂
I got the cabin last Christmas, it was my first proper Lego set and I’ve been hooked since!
Oh nice, haha yeah that’s how it starts, you build one set the next thing your planning out a Lego room, then you start experiencing the eternal battle between space and money😂
Mos eisley is great. Hope they replace it with something similar. I quite like the landspeeder. I think it looks better when it is displayed at an angle. Agree about the gunship, I need to get that one. I need to get the a frame I think. Just need a good gwp to come along. Loop coaster is great but yes agree, you need the space so one I will skip. I think it is on sale currently though.
Lego should have made the Yavin set like Mos Eisley or maybe revisit Endor for a large set🙂The loop coaster is a great set when you see it but it’s just too big and awkward to display if tight for space

@@Ultra_bricks funny is isn’t it, at the time I hated the Hoth MBS but I now wish I bought it, definitely a set that has grown more popular over the years
There should be a new master builders set next year.
All of the sets I want like the A frame, ecto 1, Cantina I already have in my backlog. The only one I don’t have but will be buying is the Coruscant Gunship which I believe will have 4 x insider points during the May 4th promotions 👍
Ahh yes, the Gunship should have 4x insider points, coupled with all the promos will probably be the best value for buying it🙂
Of the ones you listed, the only one I will be getting is the Ghostbusters ECTO-1. I will be building mine to be remote-controlled, including a remotely activated trapdoor on the bottom of the chassis, and remotely activated side chair (already have the needed motors, controller, etc...just need the ECTO-1).
Ahh that’s sounds like a great idea, would love to see that working🙂

Mos Eisley and the Coruscant gunship I believe will be May 4th sales set. Not sure what the sale will be whethers its a percentage drop or a VIP points multiplier. Either ways its probably the best time to get them for the promos. Im definitely going to pick up the Tales of the Space Age. Ironically it would have paired well with this years space theme across Lego. I dont believe the set has ever been on sale. I know wouldve picked it up otherwise. It is fairly recent so may not have had the opportunity for a sales period but I do suspect itll go on sale before it retires. Im not entirely surprised the hogwarts train is retiring. There wasnt a lot of hype around it considering they just retired the old one that Im sure many already had. Honestly the price wasnt helping it either. This shouldve been a $110 set max. Really surprised about the downtown city set. Its a really cool design with many unique feature and Im sure did well for those who enjoy their city dioramas. Not sure if maybe the price was a deterent only being 2k pieces and not a licensed product. I feel it would have been good at the $180 mark. Just something about $200 and up really makes a set feel like a heavy investment if the piece count isnt where it should be
From what I have seen there are going to be a mix of sales and double/4x insider points but I expect it will differ in the US/UK, will be interesting to see who gets the better deals🙂I think Lego have been doing great with space themed sets this past 18 months, some really nice sets at reasonable price points.I think your probably right regarding the Hogwarts Express, most people would have in all likeliness brought the previous one which was much cheaper, in all honesty I wish Lego done a separate Hogsmeade set, or maybe that’s what they are planning🙂
@@TheDyslexicGeak Yeah I remember some were upset that sales were region locked on high end sets and UCS sets. I guess when it gets closer to that time we'll have confirmation on what sets may be region locked. The one Im really surprised on was the UCS R2D2 not being on sale. It retires this year and Im sure they would have wanted to squeeze ever sale out of it, especially with the new cheaper one out. I would love a midi-scale version of the entire Hogsmeade village similar to the Hogwarts Castle from last year or maybe even a Diagon Alley style version with a full streets worth of buildings and shops
@@foreverfornever1124 it does seem to be that the good vs disappointing Lego sales rotate from region to region, I’m guessing it’s due to what’s selling and what’s not etc. Black Friday deals on Lego website in the UK/EU are generally no where near as good as US. But we will soon see🙂
@@TheDyslexicGeak Yeah I guess we'll have to wait to see what the official deals are for May 4th. Im not too impressed with the Promos this year. I like that its Episode I themed, but not really interested in the coin and droid carrier. Plus I have nothing on my retiring Star Wars set list for the year, except the UCS R2D2, which if not going on sale I probably wont get. I may pick up a new set, at least enough for the polybag promo and maybe hit up my local 2nd hand shop to see if they have any old retired SW sets I can pick up
@@foreverfornever1124 Yeah I wish Lego were a little more creative when it comes to May 4th promos, the coin is nice but it’s just something I will put in my draw and rarely ever looked at, I’m more looking forward to double/quadruple points🙂
