Installing a jet pump and Cistern Pump | Building Our Own Home Ep. 124

This week I installed the jet pump to move water from the cistern to the house. This was a project of trial and error. What I found is that a jet pump is good for pulling water 25' or less, which didn’t end up working for our install so instead had to install a submersible pump for the system to work.

People take water for granted in general and they don't realize how much work is involved to simply turn on a faucet and have water come out. Great adaptation on installing the pump in the cistern!

It is a lot more complex than people think. I now have a big appreciation for having water
