Weirdly and unfitting as it may seem, I think he's one of the few who might be accepted into the Top Gear trio.
He has the amount of confidence, self irony, and quick wits to counter/match the endless bantering of the three,
the open mindedness to create the right comedy, and has just proven to be a great driver.
I cheered for him hoping he wouldn't be at the bottom, and then BAM. Top dog

Watch the behind the scenes TG he gets on well with all of them. They showed it on Dave where he was going around the Car Park and some crummy little caravan.

if you were a regular viewer you could usually tell a good lap i thought was quick as it was virtually faultless !
@@healthiswealth7899 its his commedic personality that won that race. you can clearly see most people are to afraid to push the car while jimmy kind of just whent full out knowing that nothing can happen to him and that it does not mather if he brakes the car. my uncle use to hoon with me att a very young age so i have large experiance in crashes and high speed dicking around. i can never understand peoples fear of fast speeds or hooning a car becaus i do not have that fear. thats why colin mcrae was fast he was not scared he dared to go full throttle even tough it was dangerous

He reckons he had to focus to laugh like he did in this interview, his current laugh is actually natural to him. He just laughs on the inhale rather than the exhale.

tijmen131 he's said he used to be quite self conscious about it. don't know how true that is, but it's his own words.
Pretty sure that laugh right after Jeremy revealed his time is his real laugh at 9:22 (the totally normal one). He wasn't able to hold the character during the emotional rush there. That ah-ah-aaaah is just branding with made up excuses.
Seeing how young Jeremy looks makes me appreciate how long jimmy carrs actually been in the scene

Hearing the Stig say later on in interviews that comedians were the scariest drivers they had on, they all had no sense of self-preservation and wouldn't be phased by almost crashing or violent spins, I can't help think he had Jimmy Carr in mind as he was saying that.
Surprised there was no car jokes. Get it. Car, like Carr. This comedian stuff isn't hard at all.

And Clarkson once said that when it doesn't look fast, it's fast... no, just kidding. The lap looked real fast, I could see the shock absorbers almost going through the body in the corners, and the narrow wheels hardly had grip.
He's been superseded by some celebs, but that was really an exciting lap. Good TV, funny guy.
It's like walking over a narrow bridge, if you're unaware of the thousand foot fall it's a lot more manageable

I just came from watching the Jimmy Carr interview with Sean Lock about Clarkson - nice to see him recycling the "more than I make in a week" crack at every opportunity.
LP SP just watched that before too! Makes this extra special knowing how much he loves Clarkson and TG. :)

When Jeremy Clarkson was on QI a long time ago they talked about Nominative Determinism, which means you're more likely to end up being whatever your name is. If you're called Baker, you're more likely to end up a baker, someone called Carpenter is more likely to become a carpenter and so forth. What I'm saying is, with a name like Carr, who can be surprised here?
