Very entertaining Ian, old school mechanics recommend heat up the the heads covers before remove and to install the valves guides and also freezing the guides, the ones you install went in very easy, hope they don’t get loose when engine heats up

Hi Carlos, Thanks again for the comment, the heads were heated before to 200c, (hence the gloves) I didn't bother to freeze the guides though and I think the hammer is a 3lb, they started very easy because of the taper but they took a fair bit of force to drive them into position. But yeah it's the part of the Engine that had a lot of work, fingers are crossed it holds up. It's going to be a twitchy moment when I get round to starting it. I enjoyed the process though and researching the mechanics of it.

@@aircraftengineerstoolbox2560 You are doing a great job, unbelievable carefully done, this engine will run better than new ones!!
I remember at the beginning of this project you told me: “I’ll try to keep it on a budget”🤣🤣👍🏻

@@carlosgooglemaps94 I remember that to 😅 That budget went a long time ago. But you only live once and hopefully, it will be something special. The final tip will be to think of a budget then quadruple it.
