@@gabbyreads I'm definitely intrigued! I've got all of your horror recs on my tbr. I'm yet to get around to them (story my all of our lives) but I can't wait!
Ahhh I just finished this video and this was so FUN to watch!! 😍😍😍 I’m so so so happy to see that you enjoyed the books! Seeing your reaction was so exciting and I’m so glad you found so many new favorites! I’ve been trying to get my sister to read some of these for months lol and she was watching this video with me and I think you encouraged her to start reading In My Dreams I Hold a Knife so thanks for that!!! 😍🙌 you have me wanting to reread In My Dreams I Hold a Knife too tbh haha your reaction to the end was everything!! 💕
Omg I loved this video. Especially the montage of all of us describing the books. I can’t believe you were able to cut out a part of me talking. My words all blur together, haha. So glad you enjoyed The Push. I can’t believe it was a debut?!?
The editing of this video is top notch. I am in the camp that do not think 3 stars are bad books and find it sad that people do. Now 2 stars I can see why that's bad.
As a mom, I’ve been so scared of reading The Push… but I think you might’ve convinced me to do it. The whole thing about body value after becoming a mother-WOW. Does that ever hit the nail on the head. Almost six years after my first was born and I still feel on a daily basis like my body isn’t my own, my life isn’t my own, I’m not even a person anymore, I merely exist for them. I might be even more scared to read this now because I’m pretty sure it’s going to be a gut punch. Oof. Would love to hear opinions from moms who have read it!
Oh my god! I’m in the middle of this, but I had to comment. My family thinks it’s weird that I watch Turkish dramas. Also, you should watch Kiralik Ask. It’s a completed series, and it’s so good.
I haven’t even watched the video yet but I’m dying 😭😭😭😭😭 Omg yes, I felt the same way about Findlay Donovan. Super misleading cover 😂 I need to read it now! I’m so happy you loved The Push! That ending will stick with you forever! I still think about it today 😍 As a parent this book is INFUCKINGTENSE. When her son dies 😭😭😭 I couldn’t even imagine and I completely felt for her with her daughter situation. But what got to me the worst was her husband WTF!!! He just left her alone with her misery! Douche!!!
I am a mother to a 2 1/2 year old and I LOVED The Push!! I felt so horrible for the mom, and her struggles with not only being a new mom, but being a new mom who didn’t connect with her child. It was so interesting and well done. Then I connected when she had a child she did have a good connection with and it was fascinating to see both sides the spectrum with her emotions and relationships with her children. That poor mother went THROUGH it! The ending was SO satisfying.
I loooove this whole idea and I’ve wanted to do it for ages but I have no idea how to even approach the whole concept. 😂 You absolutely nailed the editing and I’m so happy you enjoyed the first book so much!! ✨ Success!
You made me want to read the all, i put the push on my tbr, i need to do more reasearch on that one, because that sounded so good. and the first book you mention, "finlay donald is killing" sound so funny, great video.
You've definitely convinced me to put Finlay Donavon is Killing It on hold with my library and they not only have this book but the second book in both ebook and audiobook form. I will also be checking out the other books you've talked about. So happy I found your channel and thank you for introducing me to the other channels you included in this video.
when I did my review I mentioned that I loved the aspects of classism in Razorblade Tears. But I have yet to see another reviewer mention that. And this is why I love your reviews. Also I think this is being adapted
This was so fun. Finlay Donovan is Killing it so fun and the reaction to your last book was so fun to watch your reactions and the really close up hahaha.
I loved the concept of this vid! And the fact that most of them were spot on for you is even better. I don't really like thrillers but seen how much you enjoy them makes me interested in them. Great edit as well!🤩
Finley Donovan is 100% not my type of book but I am loving seeing everyone enjoying it so much. I do want to try razorblade tears even if I know the genre and tropes are not exactly for me. As you said, I think characters who grow, especially from a point of priviledge and/or prejudice are rare and I think definitely worthwhile.
I have read and loved Razorblade Tears, The Push, and Finlay Donovan!! I have been holding out for the audio of In My Dreams. I think it comes out March 8th!!
I stayed up all night listening to The Push. It so lived up to the hype. I felt so bad for Blythe. Motherhood can be great but it can also be extremely isolating.
Sen Cal Kapimi is AMAZING!! 💖I am still on episode 21. Turkish dramas are great at executing romance tropes. I recommend Siyah Beyaz Ask, Ask Mantik Intikam and Dolunay.
I actually started watching it cause of you lol. I saw you posted something about it on your instagram story and I fell down the rabbit hole. I'll definietly check out those other ones!
I relate to not reading books that don't have audiobooks, that's actually the only reason I haven't read In My Dreams I Hold a Knife yet! It has gotten so much buzz and I've heard nothing but good things and it sounds like something I'd love.
Same! I’ve heard that they will be releasing one, but I think it’s going to be awhile. Correction: It’ll be released on March 8th, which also happens to be my due date… so close, yet so far away. 😂😅
Push super bored me :( I had such high hopes, only bit of it I loved was that middle twist. I had shocked tears, which I NEVER get. Also, I'm a new follower
this video might actually make me read a thriller... hearing everyone rave about in my dreams i hold a knife really has me curious, but i dont read thrillers!!
I just wanted to thank you for being open about not wanting children. I have also never wanted children, so it was super refreshing to hear someone else be open about that. I've had complete strangers interrupt me in a conversation and tell me how I'll change my mind and it repels me on a deep level. Even women are sometimes complicit in sexism, reinforcing traditional ideas of how women are supposed to be baby makers and care providers. So, if anybody is up in the comments saying you will change your mind, screw that. I believe that you know yourself.
I just finished reading both Finlay Donovan books (under the influence of oliviareadsalatte) and the whole time I was thinking this is good girls in book form 😂😂👌🏼
I've only read Razorblade Tears so far and thought the race and class discussion was definitely interesting, my only worry when hearing about those topics initially was that it would try to equate the two or say a broke white mans struggle can equate to, excuse, or explain off systemic racism. Not saying that ended up being the case, just very interesting lol. love the video! Definitely reading The Push next!
How is our life the same? Literally started Sen Cal Kapimi and let it take over my life late jan - early feb and also had no 5 stars in jan, had a few in February 🤣🤣🤣 what even is life
Turkish dramas are SUPER addictive lol. I watched one called "Kara Sevda" which has the right person wrong time trope and OMG. ive never ever cried so much in my whole life. I felt so angry and hurt for no reason lol. This coming from a heartless person who never cries.
Have you read “The Girls are All so Nice Here” by Laurie Elizabeth Flynn because that book is very similar to “In my Dreams I Hold a Knife”. If you haven’t read it I STRONGLY recommend it!
Anyone wanna help me out with what Riley is saying at 28:36 "I don't know if it's going to have an ?" I'm asuming it's some romance term I'm unfamiliar with but it's just really bugging me

Your editing in this was IMMACULATE. This was such a fun video! I definitely want to pick up In My Dreams I Hold a Knife now 👀
Immediately ordered “The Push”! It sounds so so good.
Hope you like it!!
The zooming in had me laughing so hard 🤣🤣🤣 I loved this video❤️ The Push was soooo good!!!! I’m a mom so it really hit me hard.

Definitely agree with you with Razorblade Tears! I couldn’t get over the fathers being fathers finally after they died

Have you watched Aşk laftan Anlamaz? Or Kara sevda? If not you TOTALLY should!
Kiralik Ask is one of my faves, I second this rec!
I watch Turkish dramas and THEY ARE SO GOOD. They are amazing executing different tropes
This was the first turkish drama I have watched and im obsessed. I totally need to check out more
I haven’t even watched the video yet but I’m dying 😭😭😭😭😭

The editing on this video. You were in your bag.
This would be an editing NIGHTMARE for me 😂
