Dear Josie! It's me, Sultana😅 Honestly, I can't even express all my words now and I'm overwhelmed with emotions... The first thing I want to do is thank you for believing me and coming to visit me. My mom, grandma and grandpa were also very happy when I told them that you created a whole video to tell just about our family, they were very touched by it. I'm very glad that I met a girl like you, with whom I can be on the same wavelength and who understands me because of life experiences. I'm very happy that I met you, thank you for your attention and trust in me❤️ I will be glad to see you again in our city of Samarkand, next time I will try to show you all the best places in Samarkand, just come this time for a little longer🫂
Josie, there was a mistake in one moment in the video. there I was talking about the summit that was in Samarkand in 2022 in September. The Samarkand Summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization is a summit of the leaders of the member states of the organization, which took place in Samarkand on September 15-16, 2022[1][2] The summit was the 22nd meeting since the reorganization of the organization. The summit was held in the recently opened Silk Road Samarqand complex in Samarkand. The information given at 10:19 of the video is not true. Tourists in Uzbekistan became more because of Summit, I was talking about it🥹 Sorry for my pronunciation🙏🏽
Sultana, you are incredible! It is amazing how much that you know. Not many people your age knows anywhere near as much as you! Mistakes are completely fine to make in life, and I’m very proud of you that you are so confident! That is what matters. 😊 Thank you so much for inviting us to Uzbekistan and for opening your arms to strangers to come into your home. Michael and I love you and think you are one of the best people we have ever met while traveling in almost 3 years. Thank you for giving us this experience 🥰🙏
Hey Josie! I am from Uzbekistan and I would like to apologize for how you felt in samarqand. I am from toshkent. It is true that Uzbeks can be harsh and unwelcoming but that is not everyone of them. There are more positive than negative things. This is real that the prices have been rising up and inflation is a big issue, especially to the Uzbeks that live in poverty. Sultana is one of the lucky ones that have more money and status than others and I hope the rest of the Uzbeks will have the same experience. I love my country and am proud of my culture. I hope people will recognize Uzbekistan more and hope the Uzbeks will always be happy. Please come again soon, I will show you around Tashkent inshallah. Toshkenga keganizga raxmat. Sog bolin:)
Your first guide give me a "I don't care vibe" the second I saw his face! The girl is wonderful everyone should recommend her! I wonder there are rating type of thing for guides in different countries!
Same to be honest. It very much felt like he didn’t care at all. It was really disappointing. Sultana saved the day! We wanted to leave a bad review to be honest but we got his number from a local guide site and there wasn’t reviews. It wasn’t nice to tell us one thing and then just not do it and ignore us when we’re asking to stop going to tourist sites (the exact opposite of what I actually asked to do) 😂
We just had a amazing two weeks in Uzbekistan….such a wonderful country…and that people were super nice! Man I agree some of those beds were like planks
This is such a lovely and beautiful comment. I have invested a lot more time, effort and a lot more money into making my videos and this means more to me than you know. Thank you for saying it 🤍🤍
It’s far from the one of the cheapest as a person who was born in that country, I can tell that the cost of living has increased it’s nearly impossible to live with a local salaries that they are offering so frustrating😢. People barely getting by and that’s the main reason why they immigrate to neighboring countries
Hi, Irecommend you go back to Tashkent for a couple more days! People in Samarkand are mostly Tajik not Uzbek. So you really didn’t experience much of Uzbek hospitality when you were there.😊Uzbeks love tourists and we are one of the most hospitable people there is. Everyone is super friendly, so sorry you had a bad experience in Samarkand
The positives outshone the negatives. Always good to see you interacting with genuine local people. Again, a country I know little about so thanks for sharing!
Well since sultana corrected the record, I think you should reflect that edit in the video. It’s actually a very safe country, lots of solo female travelers visit and has a level 1 travel advisory according to the US State Dept. Uzbekistan is so foreign to the west that these videos really are the only exposure people have to it so the responsibility for truth is important. Your time in the country was so short and seemed spontaneous so I feel you would have better experiences had you planned and seen more of the major cities: Khiva, Bukhara, etc. Hope you come back and do a longer more in depth video!
I can’t edit an edited and uploaded video, it doesn’t work like that. I never said it wasn’t safe either and other than what was told to me, I never said anything that wasn’t true. ☺️ I have definitely planned trips more and still had a challenging time, and I’ve also planned trips less and had a great time. I also don’t see the need to see every major city in every place I go to, nor do I have the time and money to do so and I would say neither do most people (in my opinion of course). The video was about the people in Uzbekistan being open enough to let you into their homes, and how great that is despite any perceived issues, true or untrue, in the media. As for the issues that happened to me - the feeling of being ripped off or taken advantage of as a tourist, that’s my true experience, and that’s exactly what I share in my content. I think you may need a perspective shift on what the video actually is because I think you may have missed it. 😊
Definitely too late to edit that section out considering the videos already uploaded lol, but a nice pinned comment would be good to have for those that are unaware :)
@JordansAlwaysOntheGo Thanks! 😊 I’m contractually obliged to have my pinned comment for my sponsor. Sultanas comment has a lot of likes so it will show up high
@@josieliftsthings Gotcha! And yess for sure 😊 I feel sooo bad that you had a bad time in Samarkand! When I went everyone was beyond nice nobody bothered me, if anything people were interested in where I was from lol. But it goes to show too that everyone’s experience will always vary, even if it’s a slight variation. Tashkent surprised me with how modern, clean & overall nice it was tho! There’s a sushi place somewhere in the central part of the city where you could’ve got a roll of any type of sushi for like $6US too!
It was one inconvenience or problem after another and it just piled up the whole time we were there unfortunately! 😅😭 but it happens! I wish I knew about the sushi I am CRAVING it now that you pointed it out 😂😭
Hi i watch your channel for some time and always did enjoy it. But lately i get the feeling i watch a commercial and not a travel experience. I know you need money to travel but dont let it capture your contents. spontane action is more important than commercial actions. Be yourself because there are already too much copies. Much love from the Netherlands
I’ve only had 3 ads this whole year - all for items I actually use when I travel. I’m sure if you’ve watched me for some time you would be happy I’m actually earning some money from those 3 ads to be able to keep making you videos to watch and enjoy. I’m always myself. Thanks for watching! ☺️
