@@tommy516 actually he is driving in manual mode (you see the red M in the rev counter) using the paddles. but yes you could drive almost as well in full auto mode and sport plus selected.
@@tommy516 I agree. I too have this car , and when preparing my order I was a bit torn between the manual and the PDK. I opted for the PDK. While I like shifting , there's no way a human can top the precision of the PDK. When I get the itch to shift, I jump in my old STI and shift away. Been 4 years now, just like the video, and still love the Carrera S.
Smooth lap and some of the most 'aware' drivers I've seen around the 'ring. I've seen too many laps of completely oblivious drivers. Thank for posting.
When a base 911 with 450hp can wipe the floor with a GT3 RS from two generations back... you know how much of a monster this will be in GT3, GT2 and Turbo S forms. I believe the GT2 RS might be the car to break the 6:30 mark for a full lap. It's actually scary how effortless and capable this car is.
As an excellent pilot, he knew that oversteer was coming before it happened. Downhill, off the throttle and sharp steering input with a rear-engined car: oversteer guaranteed
Ultra talented, squeaky clean trajectories. Thats Nordschleife 101. You guys should invest on a proper telemetry equipement so we could see throttle/brake/steering inputs. I think that would be awesome to properly learn the track and its course.
Does this car optioned with rear wheel steering ?....btw you are the best journalist driver ever, not sure even Harris, Meaden and Bovingdon are better than you, great !!!

Amazing how a rear engined rear wheel drive car is so stable at speed in the turns!
Great driving!
Porsche engineering plus RAS+PDCC maybe
That massive rev meter on the passenger side must really get in the way.
It’s as if it came along for the ride just to mock him!
@@lucianodetramontana3452 Thats the joke lmfao
This video is a clear demonstration of why most people opt for the PDK.
Frank Ly What do you mean?
Caleb Nelson , because you can just drive and let car handle the gear selection. It’s very fast and very precise.

Seems that those tires are all over the place. Great driving, true joy watching the video.
It handles like a classic 911! I'm in love
Yes, it has the rear wheel steering. It's written in the test for those of you who don't speak french ;)
Wow, very talented driver indeed, pushing the car to its limits. A worthy driver for this car.
You sir, are an incredible driver.
Looks like a fantastic chassis and also awesome driving!
I can see that the CS is faster than anything I can ever need and yet it is the Turbo that I finally ordered and am waiting for impatiently.
congrats, very clean line, top driver
So smoothhhhhhhhhhhh...... looks like an epic car, just casually passing EVERYONE on the track haha.
1:24 perfect handling

Does it really? Probably more due to tires though.
drewmorg It’s mostly due to modern technology and electronics, not to mention improved chassis rigidity
Aging well so far with what the GT3RS has done
6:01 😳😳😵💫. Driver made that correction look like it was a walk in the park. Iceman!
I agree but the skid marks would tell the real story…..and I ain’t talking about the asphalt.

This is why I have nightmares about buying a used Porsche! Great driving 👌
Very nice driving
Chapeau! Great driving
Avec les 4 roues directrices, l’inscription en virage paraît tellement facile ! Joli coup de volant comme d’hab ! 😜
La façon dont le train arrière s’inscrit en virage est un peu déroutant au début.
Non la carrera s est une propulsion

Why doesn’t the ‘ring let you blast on the Antoniusbuche to Hohenrain straight?

Not as good as Clarkson, says... Clarkson!
What was the lap time?
There’s not much understeer, is it? Also quite progressive over the limit.

Is this with Psm sport or psm off
PSM off 😉
then is "magnetic levitation" Danke!
That’s how to drive ! The 992 GT3 is needed now because the 992 s is probably better than the 991.2 GT3 or too close for comfort !
Did it have Goodyear Eagle F1 tyres?
Pavlucco no, p0, read description
That's instantly 20 seconds quicker than my 718😳😩
Does it have rear wheel steer option?
Yes !
yoll hva to drop 20 percentage of speed manuvering
I guess the 992 turbo s can manage a lap under 7:15.
Scrubbing tires. Obviously factory rubber?
I will buy one like this in 8 or 12 years.
Times ticking

Fucking nice.....emotional

Just imagine it with PS4 tires....
You can fit the Panamera with 325 rear section and the Taycan has 305s. I can't imagine what the 992 Turbo will be able to fit,
I wonder how many accidents on average there are per year at the ‘ring 😜
