    Suggestion: When patching a hole/tear in vinyl, round off all corners of the patch, then if you're using a scrap of vinyl, use HH66 adhesive. Apply adhesive to both the patch and the wall, allowing them to dry a few seconds before applying. You can also apply HH66 to seams and pinholes for waterproofing. Now, I want to see how you repaired a hole in a screen, so I'm off to that video. Thanks!

      I managed to sew our 20 inch opened seam by hand. I used a slightly hefty need and some strong linen thread. If that seems too overwhelming , I am sure you can find a place that deals with awnings, outdoor fabrics or even sails and they would have the equipment to restitch.

    How would you repair the edging of the canvas where the canvas meets the top of the wall of the slide-out? There is a plastic strip that serves as a bridge between the canvas and the wall of the slide-out. The canvas is sewn into that strip of plastic, which is attached to the wall of the slide-out. There's a 6-8 inch strip where that plastic is tearing and so the canvas is pulling away from the wall of the slide-out. Not sure what to do about it.

    • @ItsPoppin
      @ItsPoppin  3 года назад

      Best option is to replace that plastic piece and resew the canvas to the plastic. If you want, a clear piece of gorilla tape might be a expedient option, but won't look as good.
