No range hood. Where does the steam and cooking odor go? Do they open a window? I'd like to know the ideas about cooking in a kitchen with no apparent ventilation.

You're right! In smaller kitchens, especially in country homes or cottages, it's pretty common not to have a range hood. Instead, they usually rely on opening a window or using a small exhaust fan to let the steam and cooking odors out. I used to live in a small country home, and we didn’t have a range hood either. We’d just crack the windows, and luckily, we had a backdoor near the kitchen, so we’d open that too to keep the airflow going. It’s a simple, down-to-earth way of handling things, and it works well for those cozy spaces!

Because the phone camera is vertical. Turn it horizontal and you get a fuul screen view
